Finally our cheap flooded 2018 Maserati Granturismo is alive again! The engine unfortunately blew up 50 miles after buying this car from salvage auction during hurricane IDA. Will this new motor work on this first test drive? We got a crazy deal on this car, but after replacing the motor that is less of a good deal now haha.

Germany calling. On over 60% of German motorways I can drive my Mercedes as fast as I like, top speed foot hard down on the gas. No cop is going to pull me over, give me a ticket or hassle me in anyway. In the USA you have, I think, a top speed on your motorways of 70mph so where is the fun in owning and driving a V12 Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche or any of the other high performance cars you guy's hang out with if you can't drive it at full speed without looking over your shoulder worrying about the cop's. Come to Germany and experience the thrill and excitement of driving high performance cars at top speed over hundreds of miles. July 4am, the sun is just coming up, I hit the A71 motorway, an empty road, foot hard down on the gas, and man I'm in heaven. I love your show and all the great cars you feature, thanks for the ride.

The video is a year old but I would like to congratulate you for the recovery of this Maserati GranTurismo. For me it is one of the most best designs a car can have and I always wanted to own one. Anyhow, here in Germany used Maserati GranTurismo are much more expensive as in USA. That is why I risked to buy a "Total Loss Vehicle" like you usually do. My problem, I only had access online to the auction, meaning I was not able to be onsite for checking. Actually I was looking for a 2018 / 2019 model, but did not found any that I liked, and then I came across a 2014 model, in the color I always liked, BLU MEDITERANEO, and also the interior was what I would have choosen if I would have buyed new, CUOIO. On top, only 7800mi which is nothing for a nearly 10 years old car, and it had only one owner, also very rare. I won the bidding for US$ 16,500.00 and the final price including transportation to Germany with all taxes, etc. was US$ 22,000.00. I needed to invest about US$ 20,000.00 for a complete repair, ending with cost of nearly US$ 42,000.00. That may sound a lot, but here in Germany the average price for a car in that condition would be around US$ 75,000,00. For me it payed of, and as you already said a few times, one need to have a bit of luck, which I certainly had.
