- I used the Revair for the first time last year in April and although I did enjoy my experience, a few of you guys left some helpful tips in the comments. Loved it! And you’ll get even better with time! You’ll be able to get it down to 45mins. Also there’s no heat damage with the RevAir. I’ve never had heat damage with it and my hair is sensitive to heat.
Yess! Honestly can’t imagine myself experiencing any type of damage using it, it’s so gentle!

I love my revair! i’m so terrible at blow drying with a comb attachment it’s ridiculous 💀 it’s been a couple years since i’ve had to use a regular blow dryer on myself because I use my revair at home and then ofc when i get my hair straightened they use a regular blow dryer there. but as far as doing my hair on my own I don’t think I’ll EVER go back to the regular comb attachment blow drying style

The comment you read left great tips. I go in with the low heat first (maybe a minute), comb out the texture and then high heat for a shorter burst (last 15-20 seconds). Great results! And definitely need it to touch the root for it to dry and stretch. Hope you liked it better this time.

It takes me 15 mins to dry my entire head of hair and I have almost as much hair as you. I think a big difference is that I put on all the protectant before putting in sections and also comb out. So all I'm doing with the revair is untwisting a quarter twist, putting each half in for a minute, combing and reclipping, then moving on. That's 8 half sections at 1 min each, and including the extra combing time comes to about 10 mins, plus the time I put on protectant and section at the start and oil at the end comes to about 15 mins. That's straight enough for braids to leave in or a braid out. If I want it really silky straight for a loose style, I go over it with a flat iron anyway, and it doesn't need to have gotten straighter with the dryer before that.

@@CaramelCoils hey! Yes I have and I love it! Thank you for asking! It is so much more gentle than a regular blow dryer and it doesn't get too hot. I feel like I don't have to worry about heat damage.

Question - you said it's gentle, but do you feel (compared to the dyson) that the heat is distributed in a way that doesn't cause damage? I had my hair blown out with the dyson and felt relatively safe about not getting heat damage, this just seem so concentrated since your hair is sealed in the machine? Thanks.
If you don’t follow the instructions or aren’t using good technique, you can still damage your hair, esp. because it gets pretty hot and dries rather quickly. Prepping is key (hydrating your hair), letting it dry down and then try it with the instructions they give first and see how it works. Adjust from there.

I think so, because I honestly can’t fathom experiencing any damage using it, at least not using it the way I did. Like someone was saying in the other comment, when you remove your hair from the Revair it doesn’t even feel hot vs a Dyson or any other dryer, it’s so hot you can barely touch your hair 😩 Despite how cumbersome it is, it really makes blow drying a breeze

Are there any bad long term effects using the revair?!?!?? Like what really is inside that vacuum suction thing?!?! 🧐🧐🧐🧐. How do you know it’s safer than an actual blow dryer?!? Both have high heat. Just wondering before I invest in 1.
I would love to know the answer to this question too!!! Wondering if it damage your follicles with all the tugging and cause balding over time 😱.
From my personal experience, when I touch my hair immediately after using a normal blow dryer, my hair is HOT AF. when I touch my hair immediately when I start removing the Revair, my hair isn't hot at all. Like AT ALL. If you follow the instructions (don't use too large of sections and don't use oils on hair prior to drying) then your hair won't get hot. I have violated both rules before and my hair felt hot like a regular dryer. So follow the instructions🤣. Lastly, on the revair website, it tells you the temperature of the high heat (like 100something degrees?) Which is far less than average blowdryers even on their low settings (which I believe wholeheartedly from actually using it!). I haven't touched my other blow dryer since I got the revair🙌🏽. Hope this helps!

@Apara there is suction, but even on the highest setting, it doesn't feel like you're in a fight and ole girl is pulling your hair🤣. It doesn't hurt. It's a gentle yet effective tension...less than a carpet vacuum cleaner

It's an okay dryer. I still think your sections were still too big and not enough circular motions. I see it's a heavy unit that you couldn't hold it up for the motion. I'm good with the dryer. Thanks for the 2nd review.
