Emet entering the Allag Empire: Hmmm now how to cause a calam- Oh, they're doing well on their own. /popcorn.
He didn’t even have to suggest it, they just did it with his tech.
Half to wonder how Allag compared to Amaurot and if Emet felt a tiny bit more at home there and if that didnt play a role in his creating it.
The society of the Ancients were surprisingly advanced if you look closer beneath the outer layer. Due to them having creation magic, it covered most of their needs that their technology didn’t have to. That’s not to say their stuff wasn’t advanced, they just reached a height that didn’t have to go even further. I would say despite the technological marvels and advancement in both science and magicks with Allag, it doesn’t cover nearly all that the Ancients did. So it would inevitably be inferior by comparison. If anything, the modern day equivalent to Ancient technology and magic would be what the Loporrits have. And even Allag didn’t compare to that. Emet-Selch would always come close, but never be satisfied because it isn’t the same as what he lost. He’s projecting his losses through the various nations he built up, trying to make it in the likeness of what was Amaurot and their society. He might not outright admit it, but it’s true on some level.
Emet likely disliked the Allagan Empire because the Allagans became very lazy over time while the Ancients, living peaceful lives, were never lazy because they constantly worked to maintain their intelligence and be pragmatic stewards of Etheirys. What's most important is that the Allagan Empire's downfall due to laziness and madness is likely what convinced Emet that the rejoinings must be completed since the sundered humanity cannot be proper stewards of Etheirys.

Love the video. Can you cover Amdapor, Mhach, and the war of the Magi? Can you also cover the similarities between some of the Amdapori creatures and Sin Eaters? Yoshi-P mentioned he'd go into detail but that, like the Summoner pet glams, seems to have fizzled out

Thank you for the lore video I been wanted to know more about the allagans & have been amazed by there advancement in technology but Im also sadden that the scientists did many horrible things in the name of the science.

@@StoutHelm it also seem to me that the heart of darkness had a big hand in corrupting the Xande which made him blood thirsty & I have a theory that the reason why he rejected the scientist posposal to fine a cure for primal tempering was because he was basically temper by the powerful voidsin.

You’re right, lots of parallels there.
I dont understand the hype ffxiv gets, it has virtually no economy, nothing actually "drops" like a traditional mmo, theres not really anything unique about it, people say the story is amazing and its 5/10 at best, the quests are the typical "fetch this go kill x of that" trash style quests. the combat is horrible until like level 40-50 and abilities are broken and dont even do what they say they do like 90% of the time. FFXIV genuinely strikes me as something a 12 year old would make if a 12 year old could make MMORPGs. it's like a mobile tier dungeon crawler and literally nothing else. sure the world is a p good size with good graphics but if there's nothing inside that world whats the point?
