Might be worth watching but the sound quality is so annoying that I had to turn it off.
That’s too bad. I’ve since purchased a new mic but it’s tough when it’s that loud.
Thats where the batteries will go for the ZR1
Haha yep!
Looking at this car all I can wonder is who will do the first LSx swap :) LOL
Plenty of room for upgrades!
Ill be waiting for the first idiot to do a manual swap on a C8...Oh Christ save us from the stupidity. LOL
Manual will not be easy.
@@ELECTRICEYEMEDIA I have no interest in a C8 since there is no manual option. Not everybody wants a push button playstation.
ELECTRIC EYE MEDIA what’s wrong with a manual? I’m sure somebody will do it as well as traditional automatics for drag racing.
They hid all the problems they found in the year it was delayed. Too bad they settled the strike, they should have closed!!! Wheels cracking, not covered!!! Transmission slips and has harsh shifts, your problem not theirs. Torque converter shakes, not their problem it's yours. Overheating on Z06's, not their problem, it's yours etc etc etc sue the pricks!!! I did and won!!' Sued them over my Cadillac and won!!! Problems after problems and call GM and all you hear is were so sorry your having issues!!! Just sue them. Lemon law lawyer!! Get one one on speed dial!!!
I did that
0:50 does that look like a space where a differential unit with half shafts could fit? :)
Well probably battery & electric motors on the hybrid version!
I'm holding out for electric hybrid.
looks like it and you can hide big battery packs in the center tunnel adding to rigidity and keeping a low center of gravity
Good job...
Thanks man!
wish every car came with this
What mid engine 😂?
What did they hide? The title made it sound like something sinister
Brake by wire...
CarGuy11 oh okay thanks
What real estate agents do as they walk you through a house.
Lol
there is a ridiculous amount of room for turbos on the back of that car.
Sure is ha!
Audio sucks. Too much background noise.
Yeah bought new mic but it’s tough.
This guy has very little knowledge of Corvettes or Automotive in General. A high school graduate would have been a better choice!
I agree - he says "heres a cooler (up the front) I dont know if its for the engine or transmission". Then there is the small radiators at the rear in front of the wheels 'I dont know what these do". Well dumbarse, you just follow the pipework and see where they go! I'd be impressed if this guy even knows where to find - let alone read, the oil dipstick!
Maintenance nightmare.
Yeah
The engine doesn't need it but I can't understand why it hasn't got overhead cam!
Stay tuned for Z06!
Smaller package with OHV.
They could build a DOHC twin turbo making 1,200 HP, but they would not sell half as many as their current configuration. Throw enough money at something and you'll get what you're looking for. But that's not Chevrolet's / Corvette's philosophy.
Not sure not sure not sure, mate upload a real good disruption of what you know for sure and not for sure, LMFAO. :)
That's a huge center tunnel for not having a driveshaft.
Yes. They use it all for structural support.
@@CarGuy11 that guy talking said that it's huge and he's surprised that it is huge may still be using it as a structure looks like. That doesn't sound like an engineer talking.
You need to invest in a good microphone
Yep already on it lol. Tough with all the background noise.
Interesting; I thought that placing the engine closer to the drive wheels should reduce the weight since you don't need no stinking power loss of the longer FE/RWD driveshaft.....Instead a 2020 C8 Z51 DCT weighs about 200 + lbs more than a 2019 C7 Z51 8-auto....One of the big weight problems? The new tranny weighs in close to 350 lbs! Or about 100 less than the engine....Crazy!....However, you can't deny the 'magical' acceleration. And a base C8 with only the Z51 will set you back $65K while at the same time only being matched by a $122K 911 Carrera S (w/out power seats!) . The C8 tested in the article below is a heavy-optioned 3LT Z51, meaning that a lighter, basic 1LT with the Z51 should do a tick better, plus it has power seats!. Imagine that, $65K and the nearest competition is almost twice as much! Obviously more people can afford the $65K than the 911 Carrera S.

Wow I didn’t know the DCT weighed that much!
Man look how easy a turbo will be to mount
Yeah plenty of room.
@@CarGuy11 with the intake and the headers all pointing the same direction and only inchs apart I imagine some people will be ditching the trunk to make room for turbo piping
paul watt Ha good point!
Now the windshield wont fit.
Why did they cheap out on the rotors? Surely slotted rotors doesn't cost GM that much. Its not a pickup truck.
Someone commented a response in here as to why.
So if the battery goes totally dead your screwed! Lol!
Not sure what you mean. Isn’t it same for all cars?
CarGuy11 no steering or brakes?
Michael Cuff Haha true for brakes but if engine not on you won’t be moving. Probably a mechanical backup as well.
Old Tech...Where is the electric motor?
Stay tuned for ZR1!
I❤corvettes
👌
Amazing that a 2-valves per cylinder engine allows this car to do 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Two freaking valves per cylinder. And only one cam. Amazing.
.
.
.
Well DCT is a huge help.
The radiator hose claps have to go! Changing out that muffler setup will reduce weight a lot hope Corsa or Magnaflow will step up with that.
Ha didn’t notice the claps!
@@CarGuy11 Sorry clamps.
Y
@@francisbobmitchell8627 They look cheap.
Awesome 👏🇺🇸
👍
I thought new vette had flat plain crank
Not in Stingray, possibly Z06!
The C8R has the flat plane crank
New microphone needed ASAP
Yep done.
Insurance is going to skyrocket compared to a top spec C7... Chevy price with Porche insurance premium.. not bad thing though
Perhaps but very little carbon fiber in C8 compared to C7.
Look at that Ferrari
Lol
Nice mic
Already ordered a new one.
Wow similar to a fiero good work gm👍🏻
👌
That's no shit. Look what happen to that. 4 years gone
@@darrinwatts9229 But it shouldn't have left and didn't because of poor design. It had just gotten sorted suspension wise over parts bin construction. All it needed was a correct powerplant. THAT is typical GM of the time.
Going to be easy to turbo with the t3 hookup and headers also with intake facing rearward with muffler removed turbos will fit easy and everything else needed but some asshole company going to charge 12k for it like the mustang gt
Haha
Cmon man. They’re still using a center cam, push rods and rocker arms. Just like the Model T. Get the Alfa Romeo Alfisti.mn.co
Haha but it works reliably!
Don’t be patriotic, its old tech no matter the marque. Not an affordable Ferrari. Looks good. Emphasis on “Looks”
@@CarGuy11 not at performance speeds.. Too many parts that always go wrong. Not efficient either.. Hell the rotary dial phone still works too.. 😂
Take my money
It’s available to order now.
Love the car, but the big question is...Can I fit my golf clubs or SCUBA gear in it?
Less room than C7 but still should be able to fit it. ruclips.net/video/UlRbpOOeV9A/видео.html
golf clubs? Get a truck for fuck's sake and leave the performance cars for people who will use them for what they were designed for. Not being parked at stupid country clubs with elitists douchenozzles.
So why dies it weigh 3650 pounds?
Good question it’s disappointing. The size of the car grew so main cause plus new suspension is heavier.
Because the body isnt made of carbon fiber!! Lol.
@@808G8GT fiberglass is about as light. Just weaker.
The 1st gen NSX had an all aluminum chassis just like this car and it weighs nearly half a ton less.
heated seats, cooled seats, front lift, nav, 182 way power seats, adjustable bolsters, 16 speakers with 2 dedicated subwoofers in a sports car, leather where totally unnecessary, power folding mirrors, 5 unnecessary cameras, etc. Same reason all cars gain 100 pounds or so per generation.
That mid-engine design looks to be a bitch to work on.
Yep
Do yourself a favor and watch this with the sound muted.
horrible audio dude
Yeah I already bought a new mic.
Talking into a two dollar microphone,
But that’s ok, nothing is really being said.
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
It’s a Bluetooth mic but already bought a different one.
Where are the cup holders ?
I show them in this video. ruclips.net/video/UlRbpOOeV9A/видео.html
C4
Looks rigid...I'm a little rigid
Lol
.
Doesn't know what a radiator is... mmkay
? There are several heat exchangers for different components.
