I love how he clarifies the usefulness of kageuchi's passive in the beginning of the video before showing off the numbers. People will typically just look at the bigger numbers and aren't aware of the passive utilities.
@Jhim Jim Mapa It's the same damage but with kageuchi at r5 you can spam bursts and not to mention the blackcliff passive isn't really useful in a boss fight situations cuz you need to kill a mob for the passive to activate which makes it not really that good, I have 5 sword prototypes I'm ready to r5 my kageuchi I'd rather have alot of ER's than 50-100 more damage which is not much (but this is just my opinion don't take it to the heart)

The kageuchi is not just a quality of life sword for overworld. It's competitive for abyss as well. I think you greatly overestimate the number of people that can clear abyss 12 chambers in one rotation. You should poll your audience to see what percentage can clear chambers in under 30 seconds.

Seeing the difference between it and the blackliff is just one charged attack away in a full team buff, and almost negligent as a solo dmg, I'd take the kageuchi as a win.
I hope she gets a more aesthetically pleasing version of the Mistsplitter. I really like how Ganyu's best weapon is also the best looking on her and hopefully Ayaka gets something like that too.
For me the Mistsplitter is the most appealing weapon aestheticwise. The purple really fits her overall colourscheme, blue, white and purple/pink is just a match made in heaven. And since she already has some pink accents, its really good looking. Well, for me at least. Not even the Kageuchi does look as good on her imo.
Since a huge portion of Ayaka's damage comes from her burst and 1 cycling hard content is not probable thing for most F2Ps or small fish, I find the Amenoma ends up pumping out more damage personally, so I'll be using that. Great video though!
Blackcliff is better for personal damage too though, wdym? Also its passive is easy to trigger and provides about a 17.5% max damage increase at r. This vid doesnt count blackcliffs passive
The spam damagt weapon is more likely that you have to refine the sword to r5 otherwise you just left with that sword equivalent of basic standard sword damage and a few any recharge on it

I still think Amenoma would work good overall in all situations. And tbf, you can even spam bursts at R5. To top it off, it looks much better with Ayaka as a katana compared to a broadsword-like blackcliff.
I dont get people who says amenoma is bad.. its built based on the mask set since you wont run out of energy after burst to be converted to 50% normal/charged attack damage.. Also.. after knowing this fact..its unfair to compare only the ult.. since amenoma is tailored for normal and charged atk build

@@rifwann yeah in some cases with lot of mob the energy is just back to full while the burst still on cd especialy with diona as battery. so yea maybe shimenawa is equal/even better than Blizzard S with amenoma kit if we dont have venti/kazuha to gather mob for the burst. since ayaka auto and maybe the charged attack is 1 of the best in terms of dmg and aoe while keeping smaller monster from knocked away
Great video, but perhaps there is one missing test. The benefit of the Anemona sword is that it would help recharge her ult more quickly, so while you are getting lower damage per burst, you get more bursts in a longer fight. So the total damage in a longer fight would be higher.
Amenoma is better value for her as in longer fights her damage output will be higher due to constant burst, and with a battery it should have high burst uptime
I've been sitting on two Skyward Blades for months and once I heard Ayaka's burst had a cost of 80 energy, I committed to running one of them on her (the other is on Bennett). No regrets. The gacha gave me a five star weapon and I'll be damned if I don't use it.
Using skyward blade myself :D can almost 1 phase 12-1 with shit cryo artifacts, haven't farmed the cryo domain nearly enough just yet, hitting 20ksh+ with my current team per tick on her ultimate

I did get a mistsplitter, but I will keep that on my keqing, ayaka and amenoma look too good together, while mistsplitters purple does not match ayaka's blues, red and pink at all imo. what point is there to good damage without drip

Great video! I think it's important to mention that this video only discusses the DPS of Ayaka's burst in one combo rotation which obviously Amenoma would be weaker than the Blackcliff. If the battle were to be stretched out, then having a higher burst uptime from the Amenoma's passive would be advantageous since it accounts for nearly 50% of Ayaka's DPS, especially if the BlackCliff build has low ER %/ no Cryo battery.

Basically it's a dps increase for all of them For xinqoue it allows him to run fav sword For xianling it's around a 7% dmg increase For mona it's a dps increase but for a morgana comp 4pc nobellesse is still better as she deals such a small % of team damage
its still a really good free to play option if u dont want to spend 24 starglitter for a blackcliff. Im not sure though if its worth getting it to r5 since i always get burst up anyways with blackcliff. Maybe its worth it in a situation where you dont run a cryo battery and just go with bennett, mona/xinq, then sucrose/venti. But either way, i dont think she has any serious energy recharge problems.
Also remember that not all characters can utilized it efficiently due to their E CD limition, so far Ayaka, Jean, Kaeya, Geo and Anemo traveler, *not so much on Electro traveler due to how long their E CD is* and Bennett. I don't have Keqing so I'm not too sure, Qiqi has her E CD wayy to long so it's better for her to be with sac sword, while Xingqiu bis is also sac sword
Good analysis. Very informative In my opinion though, for 4 stars, black cliff is slightly better if ayaka's teammate already have at least 135% - 160% ER. As they use their E, ayaka will also gain a lot of energy. Besides, one important thing to consider is, in practice, refilling ayaka's energy too fast won't really allow us to use the burst again because it has 20 s cooldown.
When I’m going to wish for Ayaka after Raiden’s and Kokomi’s banner, I’ll be building her Amenoma Kageuchi. While yes, I may sacrifice damage, I’m still favor for it’s utility and uptime.

I'm using Mistsplitter for her, because I went a bit too hard on the weapon banner for the sword so I have to use and I'm really enjoying it so far I will never again roll on the weapon banner though, even with the new system it's painful, waaaaay too painful

Going with the amenoma because I personally prefer to have her burst ready on hand at all time. Also picking this sword because it's also the sword she uses in her trailer.
I am getting way over 200% crit dmg from my artifacts so using the black sword and it slaps. It also means Ayaka self heals faster than she takes dmg in most cases so she's indestructible.
Kageuchi Looks so much better in Ayaka (in fact that the Kageuchi was used in her character introduction) and the passive it provides would be really a great help in abyss floor 12 once high tide occurs. instantly fills Ayaka's burst and thus giving you plenty of time for your other teammates to charge their bursts.
Yeah but with the utility you won't be forced to run a battery and you won't be wasting time switching characters and casting E skill before switching back. You would also have the option to let your supports absorb the particles instead since ayaka won't be needing the extra energy as much

@@mizu2230 the thing is if you don't need a battery like diona you can swap in someone who can do better damage like rosaria. Or other support characters that directly buff ayaka instead. Cryo resonance is nice to have, but it isn't the best option out there when you compare to having characters in the team like bennett, xiangling and other damage buffers.

I'm here because I finally got Mistsplitter after running Ayaka with r5 Amenoma since I got her in her first banner. Feels really good to deal more damage, specially since I run her with Freeze team a.k.a no Bennet lol.
@@viatrix8327 I always run her with Rosaria with Fav lance so I never really had any energy problems with keeping Ayaka's burst up. Sometimes its even full before its cooldown is over lmao.
@@viatrix8327 She's on a low investment, Noblesse-Blizzard Strayer combination. Her E-skill produces a lot of particles and have a low cooldown. Pair that with her typical crit build and a high refinement Favonius lance for even more particles per E, and she can literally fill up Ayaka's energy very fast.
Amenoma is easily the most beautiful sword in the entire game. You can slap this to any sword user from inazuma (and few from liyue) and it will look fantastic
So i'm talent level 9 with 230 crit damage and 1950 attack using a level 90 mistsplitter. And this guy is dealing more raw damage than me (my damage with 3 stacks is 11990).
What I love about your videos is that it's not about which weapon is better - it's about what each weapon can do in different situations! I have been looking forward to the Amenoma Kageuchi to come out and that's what I'll be using. I mostly stick to Overworld stuff and domains. So the Blackcliff I might still get with my Stardust but I won't be using it on Ayaka. I wish I could get the Mistplitter but as a F2P player the primogems I'd invest I rather save for character banners. Nahh dude Blackcliff still better in terms of damage i'd say not a waste because many characters can use that sword while Amenoma sword even if refined that damage is still the same but passive is only for energy so no waste tbh on blackcliff
Before they changed her kit to make her basic attacks hit cryo, It was one of the best weapons to give Ayaka for Physical dps. I also had Aquila and was hyped because of that. But after they changed her kit I kinda felt betrayed and disappointed. But still, a good character. Not good as Ganyu but good.
i tend to skip first banners since i wanna know if they're cracked or not I have used chongyun for cryo dps (Skyward pride, 4pc blizzard with 8 8 8 talents)(Chongyun c5 xiangling c6 sucrose c2 and Diona c6) but chongyun's attack speed is too slow for me since i got used to hu tao and zhongli. Since i know that ayaka is cracked rn, im aiming for her rerun
What the? 41k blooms?!?! The max I've gotten was 37k with food buffs and cryo potion, that's crazy, if my Bennet was lv13 burst though I could reach past 40k with food buffs
I’m using a skyward sword. I pretty much always have her ultimate and it’s got decent base attack. Crit chance and movement and attack speed. I have her at like 2000 attack 35% crit rate and 215% crit damage with 166% energy recharge. With noblesse and cryo split set.
The primovishap comparison made me cringe because the parrots would cite your video as gospel stating "blackcliff > amenoma kageuchi on ayaka" especially with that unrealistic whale 1-cycle team comp. But then the 12-1 comparison made the video more bearable because the damage comparisons wasn't extreme and helped show that amenoma kageuchi is the practical choice for F2p players.
Well, it feels like the blackcliff out damaging goes without saying. It really comes down to whether the faster charge/rate of using her burst makes up for the slightly softer hit from each burst. . Seems like it might be the case at higher refinement levels... but since prototypes are rarer than the damned holy grail, it’ll be hard to test.
I am saving my glitter for the blackcliff sword . I have half of that much . But i dont know if i would sacrifice asthetic and gameplay immersion over attack. I am ar 42 and im still farming for artifacts . Is the damage really big enough to be worth it ? My stats : 24 % crit rate (cryo resonance and blizzard strayer ) and 168 % crit dmg

No need to refine iron sting, passive doesn't work on kazuha since swirl damage won't be increased by it (only raw anemo damage, but I guess you build him with EM...)

So the question is basically decently higher damage vs lower but similar damage and higher recharge. How long does it take for the quicker burst recharge to eclipse the Blackcliff in overall DPS?
I've been using Black Sword on her before using Blizz Strayer set, then switched to Amenoma after equipping that, and now using Blackcliff as it pairs really nicely with that set.
I built a blackcliff in my ayaka prep, thinking she'll be more of a sustained DPS than a burstie... But I guess I'm still going to have to build the Kageuchi. F to my prep
If I chose Blackcliff I'll get 1607(so low TmT) and 251 crit dmg. If Amenoma 1878 atk, 214 crit dmg. Amenona is permanently stack 1 if it crit hits, and its non-crit hit will be high too. Help TvT

Personally I like the Kageuchi better despite having both swords. Paired with Diona I pretty much always have my ult ready off of cooldown. I guess I just like never having to worry about saving my ult like I do with Eula where I'm always thinking things like, "Is it really worth using my Q on a group of hilichurls?" Plus it's just the best looking F2P sword on her hands down which is also a big plus imo.

Also her Q resets E's cd (you can reset her longer cd or just proc faster her mini-burst from double stack E), and to awnser to the question: YES, it's ALWAYS worth using her ult no matter what you try to explain. I dunno how you builded or teamed her in your game, but Eula's burst is the last of your problems about her, really...
whats amazing about this sword is that the seeds will still be there even when you switch out. My Bennet is having such a good time with it. Swap in skill, swap out to dps, repeat. Then after he uses Burst, he already restores 50% of his mana.
So I didn't get Mistsplitter, but I'm rocking an Alley Flash on Ayaka rn for the high base atk and dmg passive, I'm kinda lacking resin to upgrade other weapons and test for myself, can anyone who has Flash and other weapons tell me which is better?
Don't forget talent levels, most people wouldn't be at burst level 9 just yet, especially if you haven't been using fragile resin to get her to max ascension and high numbers of the talent scrolls :)

Just a note: Reason why the craftable seems so much worse than bc is because of bennett, since the craftable has atk secondary theres a huge diminishing return, however normally theyre pretty close

Yeah, an R5 amenoma with just 2 stacks can decrease ER needs by about 40%, which can make up for the less base value

Amenoma is really good for Ayaka, especially in Abyss. It helps much with its utility for more energy.
I dont get people who says amenoma is bad.. its built based on the mask set since you wont run out of energy after burst to be converted to 50% normal/charged attack damage..
Also.. after knowing this fact..its unfair to compare only the ult.. since amenoma is tailored for normal and charged atk build
@@rifwann well some people is only comparing dps on paper, not the actual gameplay. im even considered amenoma passive as a dps rather than utility cuz the kit is designed for making ur burst to recharge faster which is good for ayaka knowing her burst is shreding enemy into pieces.

@@rifwann yeah in some cases with lot of mob the energy is just back to full while the burst still on cd especialy with diona as battery. so yea maybe shimenawa is equal/even better than Blizzard S with amenoma kit if we dont have venti/kazuha to gather mob for the burst. since ayaka auto and maybe the charged attack is 1 of the best in terms of dmg and aoe while keeping smaller monster from knocked away
Damage for amenoma is a lot lower in abyss, id still go for mitsplitter…however it is a good substitute if you dont have her signature weap.
Great video, but perhaps there is one missing test. The benefit of the Anemona sword is that it would help recharge her ult more quickly, so while you are getting lower damage per burst, you get more bursts in a longer fight. So the total damage in a longer fight would be higher.
Amenoma is better value for her as in longer fights her damage output will be higher due to constant burst, and with a battery it should have high burst uptime

I've been sitting on two Skyward Blades for months and once I heard Ayaka's burst had a cost of 80 energy, I committed to running one of them on her (the other is on Bennett). No regrets. The gacha gave me a five star weapon and I'll be damned if I don't use it.
Using skyward blade myself :D can almost 1 phase 12-1 with shit cryo artifacts, haven't farmed the cryo domain nearly enough just yet, hitting 20ksh+ with my current team per tick on her ultimate

Great video! I think it's important to mention that this video only discusses the DPS of Ayaka's burst in one combo rotation which obviously Amenoma would be weaker than the Blackcliff. If the battle were to be stretched out, then having a higher burst uptime from the Amenoma's passive would be advantageous since it accounts for nearly 50% of Ayaka's DPS, especially if the BlackCliff build has low ER %/ no Cryo battery.

Can you make a review of the new set emblems set on mona, xiangling or xingqiu?
Basically it's a dps increase for all of them
For xinqoue it allows him to run fav sword
For xianling it's around a 7% dmg increase
For mona it's a dps increase but for a morgana comp 4pc nobellesse is still better as she deals such a small % of team damage

If you have a good battery and decent ER on Ayaka you dont really need the Amenoma since you'll basically have her ult back before cooldown ends.
its still a really good free to play option if u dont want to spend 24 starglitter for a blackcliff. Im not sure though if its worth getting it to r5 since i always get burst up anyways with blackcliff. Maybe its worth it in a situation where you dont run a cryo battery and just go with bennett, mona/xinq, then sucrose/venti. But either way, i dont think she has any serious energy recharge problems.
Also remember that not all characters can utilized it efficiently due to their E CD limition, so far Ayaka, Jean, Kaeya, Geo and Anemo traveler, *not so much on Electro traveler due to how long their E CD is* and Bennett. I don't have Keqing so I'm not too sure, Qiqi has her E CD wayy to long so it's better for her to be with sac sword, while Xingqiu bis is also sac sword

In my opinion though, for 4 stars, black cliff is slightly better if ayaka's teammate already have at least 135% - 160% ER. As they use their E, ayaka will also gain a lot of energy.
Besides, one important thing to consider is, in practice, refilling ayaka's energy too fast won't really allow us to use the burst again because it has 20 s cooldown.

If you have both built, go for kageuchi in the overworld and blackcliff in abyss. That's what i do
I’ll just use the amenoma kageuchi as a placeholder until the blackliff long sword comes back into paimons bargains.
Going with the amenoma because I personally prefer to have her burst ready on hand at all time. Also picking this sword because it's also the sword she uses in her trailer.
I am getting way over 200% crit dmg from my artifacts so using the black sword and it slaps. It also means Ayaka self heals faster than she takes dmg in most cases so she's indestructible.
Kageuchi Looks so much better in Ayaka (in fact that the Kageuchi was used in her character introduction) and the passive it provides would be really a great help in abyss floor 12 once high tide occurs. instantly fills Ayaka's burst and thus giving you plenty of time for your other teammates to charge their bursts.
Longcliff blacksword gives 24 attack for 3 max stacks after u killed enemy at R5.... Which is 72 % attack total it's more then amenoma main stat.
With a good battery, this extra utility is somewhat irrelevant. Still very cool that a f2p weapon is this good though.
Yeah but with the utility you won't be forced to run a battery and you won't be wasting time switching characters and casting E skill before switching back. You would also have the option to let your supports absorb the particles instead since ayaka won't be needing the extra energy as much

@@mizu2230 the thing is if you don't need a battery like diona you can swap in someone who can do better damage like rosaria. Or other support characters that directly buff ayaka instead. Cryo resonance is nice to have, but it isn't the best option out there when you compare to having characters in the team like bennett, xiangling and other damage buffers.
Since I don't have Ayaka, this video told me to try and use Xingqiu, Ganyu, Sucrose and Hu Tao in abyss :)

I'm here because I finally got Mistsplitter after running Ayaka with r5 Amenoma since I got her in her first banner. Feels really good to deal more damage, specially since I run her with Freeze team a.k.a no Bennet lol.

@@viatrix8327 I always run her with Rosaria with Fav lance so I never really had any energy problems with keeping Ayaka's burst up. Sometimes its even full before its cooldown is over lmao.

@@viatrix8327 She's on a low investment, Noblesse-Blizzard Strayer combination. Her E-skill produces a lot of particles and have a low cooldown. Pair that with her typical crit build and a high refinement Favonius lance for even more particles per E, and she can literally fill up Ayaka's energy very fast.

What I love about your videos is that it's not about which weapon is better - it's about what each weapon can do in different situations! I have been looking forward to the Amenoma Kageuchi to come out and that's what I'll be using. I mostly stick to Overworld stuff and domains. So the Blackcliff I might still get with my Stardust but I won't be using it on Ayaka. I wish I could get the Mistplitter but as a F2P player the primogems I'd invest I rather save for character banners. Before they changed her kit to make her basic attacks hit cryo, It was one of the best weapons to give Ayaka for Physical dps. I also had Aquila and was hyped because of that. But after they changed her kit I kinda felt betrayed and disappointed. But still, a good character. Not good as Ganyu but good.
Damage wise it still outdamage other 4 star weapons because of high base attack so it's an alright use

but chongyun's attack speed is too slow for me since i got used to hu tao and zhongli. Since i know that ayaka is cracked rn, im aiming for her rerun

What the? 41k blooms?!?! The max I've gotten was 37k with food buffs and cryo potion, that's crazy, if my Bennet was lv13 burst though I could reach past 40k with food buffs
I’m using a skyward sword. I pretty much always have her ultimate and it’s got decent base attack. Crit chance and movement and attack speed. I have her at like 2000 attack 35% crit rate and 215% crit damage with 166% energy recharge. With noblesse and cryo split set.
The primovishap comparison made me cringe because the parrots would cite your video as gospel stating "blackcliff > amenoma kageuchi on ayaka" especially with that unrealistic whale 1-cycle team comp. But then the 12-1 comparison made the video more bearable because the damage comparisons wasn't extreme and helped show that amenoma kageuchi is the practical choice for F2p players.
Well, it feels like the blackcliff out damaging goes without saying. It really comes down to whether the faster charge/rate of using her burst makes up for the slightly softer hit from each burst.

No need to refine iron sting, passive doesn't work on kazuha since swirl damage won't be increased by it (only raw anemo damage, but I guess you build him with EM...)

If yes, I'll tell you something. Use Favonius/Sacrificial/Festering Desire. He will burst more often.

I've been using Black Sword on her before using Blizz Strayer set, then switched to Amenoma after equipping that, and now using Blackcliff as it pairs really nicely with that set.

If I chose Blackcliff I'll get 1607(so low TmT) and 251 crit dmg. If Amenoma 1878 atk, 214 crit dmg. Amenona is permanently stack 1 if it crit hits, and its non-crit hit will be high too. Help TvT

Personally I like the Kageuchi better despite having both swords. Paired with Diona I pretty much always have my ult ready off of cooldown. I guess I just like never having to worry about saving my ult like I do with Eula where I'm always thinking things like, "Is it really worth using my Q on a group of hilichurls?" Plus it's just the best looking F2P sword on her hands down which is also a big plus imo.

whats amazing about this sword is that the seeds will still be there even when you switch out. My Bennet is having such a good time with it. Swap in skill, swap out to dps, repeat. Then after he uses Burst, he already restores 50% of his mana.

Don't forget talent levels, most people wouldn't be at burst level 9 just yet, especially if you haven't been using fragile resin to get her to max ascension and high numbers of the talent scrolls :)

I use blacksword. The ultimate is OP on other weapons but my love for her charge attacks and basic attacks are awesome.

Reason why the craftable seems so much worse than bc is because of bennett, since the craftable has atk secondary theres a huge diminishing return, however normally theyre pretty close
