Justin Brown INSANE
and when I thought I was never going to believe in jazz again, here comes my favorite musician and breaks all barriers ! here, the standards follow the musician, and not the other way around, as is often the case
This trio has so much depth it makes the Mariana Trench blush
NICE one :)
Hahaha
Yes, I love that 😂
So much taken after Chick Corea (RIP) acoustic band! Like literally Tigran bringing his spirit back to life!
tigran as leaders forever
Animals as tigran
Animals as 'masyan
Best Jazz I've heard in a long time!
Probably the best hour of music I experienced in recent years / Возможно, лучший час музыки, который мне доводилось проживать за последние годы
Заоблачное трио
I started to cry, It's like discover a new Chick, or a new extremely talented musician with his own ideas how to communicate thru language of jazz. And that also applies to all the musicians in this trio.
Maybe you'll also like Casimir Liberksi - Cosmic Liberty... with Matt Garstka from Animals as Leaders on the drums. A very fresh, modern jazz album I absolutely adore :) edit: Oh and Kneebody (songs "drum battle" and "for the fallen" for example)
Now I have a feeling that the flag of Chick Corea is up in the sky again. Wonderful music, excellent performance!
Chick is one of Tigran's heroes. He mentioned in an Instagram post after his passing that Chick's trio work is a huge inspiration to him esp. the New Trio, Now He Sings trio and the latest with McBride and Blade.

Such an amazing time we live in, that you can just get this stuff for free. Thanks Trigran!
Unreal. Best new Jazz.
Just found out about you through a random RUclips comment..
Ho Lee Chit 😯 Merci beaucoup, that was awesome 👏🏻
The Sound. The Look. The Vibes. Everything about this is real, alive, artful, masterful, and beautiful. Thank you to ALL involved in making this.
😊😊
God! He absolutely made legendary standard like Softly his very own thing than the original🤯 Imho no single other modern artist could possibly match the originality of his take on this standard, comparatively speaking. Not even fellow modern legend like Hiromi Uehara could challenge him, even though she's definitely able to transform anything into a musical exercise from hell.
(not a competition)

Justin Brown is incredible!
Yes amazing..
Tigran always picks the best drummers man: Jeff Ballard, Ari Hoenig, Nate Wood, Arthur Hnatek...
This is a whole new level in Tigran's music. Fully enjoyable
Absolutely phenomenal. There's just nothing like it. I try and focus on each musician in turn, and they're always doing something interesting with their performance, and when it all comes together it's magical.
I didn’t know what time it was…WOW!
Tigraan!!! So long i dont see something live new. Mockroot live, Shadow Theather, (a lot of masterpice more) and now This.
Never stop improving! Love your music. Hugs!
Outstanding!
Fantastic! Best artist I’ve heard so far in my life!
So handsome
????
Fascinating the creative approach to standards from the Great Songbook which other musicians tend to avoid nowadays.
Beautiful.

great but i really wished the master horn players who recorded with tigran in this album were one board. that would have been just perfect.
I would like to add this video to a playlist but this is not possible. Why is that and can you adjust settings so i can add this to a playlist??

Wait!!? You mean there might be some hope for jazz?

Interesting, but I am not excited. There's no great art to taking a standard and making it unrecognizable. It strikes me that one of this pianist's influences might be Martial Solal. He seems to speak Solal's musical language, but not nearly as fluently. Worth listening to, no doubt, but also in my view no threat to the greats: Powell, Monk, Evans, and some others.
I admire Tigran but this is not good music at all. IMO It is fragmented with all sorts of ideas all over the place with no resolution. In some places it shines but very disappointing. Sorry to say.
Dude with all due respect I think you crazy
Everyone has opinions and that’s fine, but don’t say something ‘is’ bad music. Especially because I can very well hear the genius logic in his music so I know it’s there. Fine if you don’t hear it and don’t like it, but don’t blame that on the music.
@@sammusic7537 It is strange that you hear something called genius logic in this concert. If anyone can rationalize something this bad (I love Tigran too) then maybe that is the where the genius lies.
@@drummersagainstitk What do you find bad about it actually? My favorite peaces from this album are I didn’t know what time it was, Laura, De Dah and All the things you are.
@@sammusic7537Thx for asking. You deserve to know WHY this is horrible. In general (a few he does well) most of the music here doesn't ever resolve thematically IMO. Musical geniuses like Tigran write structures that can go on a journey without knowing where to end up. McCoy, Jarrett, Monty Alexander, Phineas Newborn! are on equal par with Tigran but he is meandering soooo many thoughts as to not giving ME the LISTENER joy. Listen to 70's McCoy albums again (That doesn't happen) . Much respect to you. I still love him too! Greatness makes/takes chances and sometimes falls short. I support his boldness. Be well.
To powerfull..
To? Too? Two?
Perfect harmony! Great performance! Have a lovely day
