This was the second of two hour-long shows Tigran played in Rotterdam for a limited, seated-only audience (due to COVID restrictions). Both shows were filmed but only one was livestreamed. Early show setlist: Levitation 21 / New Maps / Space of Your Existence / Road Song (solo) / Happy Birthday (short surprise rendition for Arthur Hnatek) / The Apple Orchard in Saghmosavanq / Our Film
I’ve spent the last several months listening to this album and i still can only play a handful of songs on this album. just very technical and difficult to decipher and i would imagine even more difficult to compose a drum part for
Wow - Tigran's amazing. But also Arthur Hnatek about 40 minutes in - that solo!!! As a jazz drummer have to pay respect to that - he makes the drums actually sing
37:38 WAS SO SICK THAT RIFFT THAT COMES IN!!!! what a legend that rift hurt my feelings!!! it sound like god telling me that life is going to be shitty but i have to go through it anyway!! crazy how a rift can make you feel something celestially unknown!!!
I saw him last week in a paris jazz festival, live performance of this album is way better than the studio version, the crown was on fire, just as the musicians, thank you Tigran for this beautiful moment last week ❤
I was there, it was insane! :) Had no idea this was recorded! You can't really tell from this footage, but people were headbanging, including myself haha!
Tigran, I'm just wowed by your compositional skills (and ability to actually play them). Need to get you to US - Philadelphia. Soon! After having listened to The Call Within maybe 50 times, hearing it live just adds another dimension to a masterpiece.
Bellissimo live. Uno dei compositori più fantasiosi dell'ultima decade con una band all'altezza. Peccato per l'eccessiva compressione della ripresa audio.
I'm so glad I finally found this!! This was such a good concert, by far my favorite of 2021. Just... Nasty jazz 😬😤 P.S. Could you PLEASE add "Lantarenvenster, lantaren venster, lantaarnvenster" to the tags? And/or "North Sea Round Town, North Sea jazz festival". I have been searching for this recording FOREVER. To the point where I was about to send Tigran a message asking if it was available anywhere. But then I tried "Tigran Hamasyan 2021" and finally found your video hahaha

Do you have the other as well?
@@daboss15987 Nope, only this show was made available to the public
Thank you for uploading this!
never seen a piano concert with standing people😂.... only seated
@@deliabontea7464 Well a lot of the shows during this tour (which included summer festivals etc.) were standing, and so was this one supposed to be.
One of the best composer and pianist of the last decade, and my favorite one !! 🙏Tigran 🙏
One of the best of all time you mean!
Ara Resurrected is one-in-a-million kind of a masterpiece.
agreed, just impeccable composition on every level
Saw Tigran live once. Best performance I've ever seen live. He's a once in a lifetime kind of musician.
Tigran and Arthur go together like peanut butter and jelly. I hope they always play together (as they have for some time)!
Imagine being the drummer...
This music is beyond normal sounds, this is like psychoactive art
This is absolutely psychoactive.
Blows the top of my head clean off!

Arthur Hnatek is on another level
Came to see Levitation 21 live. Stayed for the literal rest. Some kind of weight god damn.
I just discovered Djazz and now I can't stop listening
Wow - Tigran's amazing. But also Arthur Hnatek about 40 minutes in - that solo!!! As a jazz drummer have to pay respect to that - he makes the drums actually sing
That Steinway needed a cigarette After this gig
Loool 😂😂😂😂😂
That Steinway achieved salvation
lmao filthy
Holy moley. ❤🔥
ADDENDUM: When Tigran let's loose on "Our Film", we get to see what a force of nature he really is. Love it!!!

music, man
riff
Is that melody from another piece of his? It sounds familiar.
you don't call that a riff, but yeah, i agree with you

That drum solo is outstanding
he KILLED it!
Did you notice the Buddy Rich influence (Caravan drum solo) ? :D
Tigran is a true legend and a master of humility. He never makes mistakes its crazy
So gratefull that i had the gift of life in this universe to meet you, thanks. Grazie, your work is so inspiring in my life. Ciao love from Italy
I love where he takes that 25:30 to, it's so refreshing I wish that was in the original, this whole performance was so wonderful to see
Ooh he is on the road again! Will wait, no matter how long, to see him in Japan!
I always thought NewMaps was an incredible tune, so smart arranged, another favourite is the Poet.
Tigran Great 🎼🎹💣🎧👑

7:28 goes so hard my god.
Yes this part is awesome !
Marc Karapetian at 42:10 "damn those drums are too dry I need a glass of water"
Great concert. I like the way you make references to Armenian tunes in your jazz. Great job!
Which tunes are you referring to? 🙂 I'd be very curious to discover what is behind these great melodies.
Outstanding! I can not wait to see him here in Italy
Idem

Ara Resurrected is my favourite!
I almost clapped and then I remembered I was at home...
38:34 spitting of joy
Thanks for coming to Rotterdam, was an intense pleasure to see this live.
I’m so glad I’ve heard his music - he’s fantastic.
Beatiful!!!
absurdly pleasing
Good lord that groove at 7:29 is filthy
At first I kinda hated it cause I just wanted it to hear the last part the way it is on the studio version but after a while damn does it slap
I was caught completely off guard by that change hahaha
So cooollll
it gave the most unbelievable stank face for me
Cannot wait for his concert in Sao Paulo
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
@51:15 The best !
What is the name of this piece
Headbanging to this concert.
Just beautiful .💗
Oh. My. God. Watching this stoned and Jesus.
It's here fellas, live Call Within footage!
Andrew Reynolds on the drums lol . Incredible show
TIGRAN COME TO POLAND!!!
Wanna see him live in Java Jazz Festival. Thanks for uploading this. 👍

Thanks
thank you for the upload!
he went full Tigran on this one
10:50 reminded me of his work with Dhafer Yousef
That Steinway is now the Chad among other Steinways
This guy is insane I don’t get it how he does it
1:40 is that new map's introducion
Beautiful
This is just too insane..🤧🤧

wow
❤❤❤
impressive
New maps at that tempo is tense as fuck
🔥✨🚀
hello Mr. Marc Karapetian.
how do you achieve the tone in Space of Your Existence?
Holy shit this is... amazing?
If Aram Katchaturian had been raised in midtown Manhattan, this is the music he would have created.
🤯
Is this performance on any streaming services?
No, it was available for a limited time on the website of the festival.
Evan was busy?? :(
jesus christ man 7:26
Dude 31:04 he should have whistled like on the album
I was also hoping for this. Also, understandably, none of the synth parts. The whistling would've been killer though
Outro and solo on Dream Voyager transcribed: ruclips.net/video/TcYDueqJhH4/видео.html
39:39 Hello Shostakovich
👍
The funniest thing is that Tigran is the one who's headbanging the most compared to the audience
he didn't introduce the bass player?
He did
