I think most musicians spend their time chasing that high of being IN THE ZONE.. I know I do, it's the best feeling in the world to me. Imo especially when surrounded by other musicians, 'the zone' can be infectious and when you're all in the vibe and it seems like you can all go on forever, endlessly progressing into original and cool improvised sections.. man, that's bliss.
One of the greatest contemporary performers. Brilliant musician, wonderful pianist.I listened to him playing solo in Stockholm . I like him in all constellations he has chosen to play his music
17:53 almost everyone in the audience is old. Why don't young people listen to such music? I wonder if I would ever find a girl for myself who loves this kind of music!
Given the location of the concert, tickets might have cost an arm. Younger people maybe don't spend too much on concerts with the age of youtube now, who knows. Tigran is very well known in most of my social groups (a lot of jazz enthusiasts), and we're under 30!
This quality/frame rate video should be a REQUIREMENT for recording world class pianists. Following fast fingers is so much easier at this frame rate. I wish whoever did this vid would go video some Hiromi concerts, it would be fun to actually SEE what she is doing. Spectacular concert, here, such an emotive pianist, and what a place to play!

Thank you for tagging the songs Levon!
And then, he just took his water bottle and left the stage. A regular day in the life of Tigran ‘God’ Hamasyan.
OH MY FUCK!! ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMANCES EVER TO BE HEARD. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE BEING THERE TO PHYSICALLY FEEL THOSE VIBRATIONS IN MY EAR HAIRS
Has anyone else ever noticed that a lot of the really great musicians go into some kind of trance state when they're playing?

Tigran Hamasyan’s music is truly a miracle. I admire how it feels like the music speaks Armenian.

I didn't know about this guy till today. He is very talented. He is a genius. No, I'm not Armenian ))) But this guy is absolutely cool.

Tickets probably cost the earth...older people would likely have more cash. 😉

Oh man, when "What The Waves Brought" started it gave me serious chills, amazing
Around 47:00 I needed to pause this to step away from my machine for a minute. I. Could. Not. Transfixing performance by a human being.
At Mexico, we have been waiting your visit.
Keep coming back to this artists music. A brilliant pianist.
The ending is wonderful. Giving it all he has.
Nothing feels so Armenian and familiar as this.
Merci, merci
an excellent Armenian musician
my god, love, love love the piece from 28:25... can't get enough of it
***** thanks!
i love it too, i'm looking for songs like this..
My favorite too ... just amazing. There is also a version of this song with Lars Danielsson
The song at 28:25 is Hov Arek by Gomidas (you can also search under Komitas)
nnao1976 look for other songs by Gomidas (Komitas), this one is called Hov Arek.
Sublime. Tout simplement sublime.

"Tigran in 50fps!?" *clicks onto video*
Beautiful tintinnabulation in the opening.
Holy shit! Around 41:20, it actually happens. He makes a mistake! That's the first time I've seen him do that. Guess he's human after all.
He didn't fall out of rhythm, I checked this moment 4 times
Wonderfull . All is perfect . Only in the last piece : improvisation is excellent but a little too long for me
He looks like Buda teaching a lesson there.
Does anyone know why the Shadow Theater full concert was taken down? It was without a doubt my favorite video on RUclips.
+Jonathan Keeler It's now split up into multiple parts (sorry I forgot the link) for some reason, the whole concert is on RUclips though
i saved the full concert before it was taken down and put it back online, but the quality is sadly not as good as it was...

want to buy it, is it an official release?
Its interesting to know how this music sounds for non Armenians...
Stunningly beautiful. A reverie.
I Am actually super interested to know what it sounds like to Armenians. Do you feel like it sounds like ‘home’ or anything like that?
@@Shahpo Yes, It sounds like home ... pure sweet motherland coming from centuries ...
