W I N !!!!! 🎀 W I N !!!⚡I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. I’ve watched “Show Them” 50 times now and still haven’t been able to drop my eyes down to the lyrics.🤘😂 Thx, DD & D! Btw -- I was just thinking: Band-Maid and The Warning, two very different bands, found something that would bring them together -- music! If only the people of the world could find something that would bring them together. I know... if peace and prosperity isn't enough, how about uniting for the very survival of our species! 🤔
Skip the live version. It is a poor quality fan cam and several reactors got copyright strikes for playing it. That was before this official video was released though so it might be ok to play it now. Over 2 minutes of it is the bands taking bows before walking off stage.
The Warning went to Japan to play 3 shows in June, 1 concert with Band Maid. They went over a couple weeks early, got together, finished the song, and made a video. Kanami composed the song, challenging everyone, writing it in a higher key than Dany and Saiki usually sing in. In the lead up to this release, they posted shorts of the 'duels', Ale vs Misa, Pau vs Akane, etc. And a solo short for Miku. In a PRS Guitars Japan interview with Dany and Kanami, the said that the bands should get together again in Mexico. Dany made the challenge to do a song in Spanish. DO NOT react to the live concert footage of this song, it's mostly fan cams, which weren't supposed to be filmed in the first place, I believe according to Japanese law. And those that did post reactions , got copyright strikes. The only thing that's safe to react to is the teaser clip posted on their socials, that's the only part officially released so far. Hoping they release the entire live performance eventually. Love Battlescar, Max Webster and Rush killed it. Saw Kim Mitchell perform that at a free outdoor concert in downtown Buffalo about 20 years ago.
Thanks for all of that good info, and advice on not reacting to the pirated live stuff. (just makes me wish I was there more!) So awesome to hear Kim Mitchell and Rush played that, esp. at a free concert! I saw Kim Mitchell in Buffalo back in the late 80's/early 90's; one time on vacation in Canada (at Bobcaygeon, for those in the know), Kim's cousin Gary taught me to play House of the Rising Sun on guitar (This was probably mid-80's). Not sure if you're a fellow Buffalonian, but either way, Rock On!
@@DadDaughtersandDrinks Just Kim Mitchell, no RUSH, one of Kim's guitarists sang Geddy's part, and sounded great too. Yep, grew up in South Buffalo, just into W.S. now.
I also want to add, that since you noted the difference in length of the videos, the song itself is pretty much exactly the same, just live. They have a bunch of stuff of both bands getting on stage and thanking the other, etc. which is cute.
Buddy you are missing out on some amazing content if you aren't reacting to the Pepsi Center drops. They are dropping one every other day. They are 14 or so songs in and still 9 left!
My only complaint about this video is the vocals are too far forward and you lose some of the instruments... and maybe the little solo bit could be twice as long. The live is basically the same, what you do notice since you can see everyone at once is that it trades back and forth between the bands each time, so it feels longer at first glance.
This is what happens when you have to have TWO record labels sign off on it. This is a production we've never heard from Band Maid before which makes me think that The Warning's label, Lava/Republic inserted themselves into the situation, like, "Wait, you want to release this as a single? Well then Dany's vocals need to be pumped up .4db in the mix" or something. It's almost as if the backing track was mixed and mastered on its own and the vocals added back in afterwards and they don't blend with the rest of the band.

I'm hoping a official live of this becomes available! Till then, this is a great showcase and collaboration!
Rock N with Band-Maid and the Warning. loved it.

Helluva collab!

Awesome. Grew up in W.S., although I've been in TX for close to 30 years.

Whoa - what? Might be time for another marathon!
@@DadDaughtersandDrinks Yeah it's epic. It's like teatro Metropolitan on steroids.
Live is a copyright auto.
your mic audio was kind of low.
Yeah, I know. I think actually the video was super loud! Same result though...
