Band-Maid and the Warning are two gems of their own kind. The fact these two bands have such a friendly relation eventually coming out as a collaboration is rare and amazing. We should appreciate without restraint nor snobbish nitpicking. Just pure joy!
Here is your lesson on The Warning- The Warning is a band of 3 sisters. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They live in Monterrey, Mexico and have been rocking out as a band since 2012 (when they were 12, 10, and 7 years old)! Their parents loved music and they grew up watching and listening to rock concerts. Daniela (Dany) and Paulina (Pau) attended a music initiation class when they were 5 and 3 respectively. Alejandra (Ale’) attended the same class when she was old enough. They loved it. They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. When Dany was 7 their dad bought them the Rock Band video game and they absolutely fell in love with rock music and performing on stage…. even though it was just a game. When Dany was 8 years old her dad asked her if she wanted to learn another instrument, along with piano. She chose the guitar. Pau chose the drums when she was 6, and Ale’ chose the bass at 6 (but was too small to play it until she was 7). Ale’ had been playing bass for about 1 month when they decided to play together and that was when the band was formed. In 2023 they celebrated 10 years as The Warning”. It is important to understand that their parents never pushed them to do this. This project was 100% the girl’s decision. Their parents completely supported them but never pushed them. In 2014 they made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they had progressed in their playing. The video was too big to just email so their dad uploaded it onto RUclips. It was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral! To date it has well over 25 million views and was shouted out by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, as well as many other famous bands. The girls were completely caught off guard by the attention this video got and they had to make a decision- they quit school and started homeschooling in order to devote as much time as possible to their music. They were 100% committed to this project and have never slowed down since (practicing hours every day separately and even more hours together). In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different kinds of songs as they sorted out their musical style. They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, many Independent Music awards in 2019. In 2022 their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error. It is simply amazing! Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing! They have all given master classes on their instruments and song writing and performing (even as young as 18 years old). They have opened for several great bands including Alice Cooper, Def Leopard, Stryper, The Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, Guns n Roses, and their absolute idols Muse. In 2022 they played 103 concerts in South American and North America. In 2023 they played 75 concerts dates in 13 different countries all over the world. The band was names “Best Live Band” for 2023. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. What IS impressive is that Saiki and Dani are singing a higher key than either of them is comfortable with and they are so Insync, you'd think they have similar voices, but they are not. Loved it.

I'm a long time Maidiac. I love this collaboration. I have been "aware" of The Warning since they did their Enter Sandman cover many many moons ago. I have always "liked" them, but I never gave them my proper attention till this past weekend whilst on a road trip. They have a new fan. They're great. A totally different rock style to Band-Maid but familiar to me..... A sprinkling of Stoner/Sludge. Both bands are great in there own right and I wish nothing but success for both. hacia adelante y hacia arriba & 前進と上向き (Forward and Upward).
The Warning are on average about 10 years younger than Band Maid, and they have been a band for a little over 10 years. Their music is a unique blend of classic hard rock, heavy metal, punk and alternative, with catchy hooks and riffs, and often deep lyrics. They are Mexican but fluent in English, and all but 3 of their 60 original songs are in English. 👍😎
This was a more Band-Maid "centric" song as it was written by Kanami - Band Maids' lead guitarist- But there was A LOT of input from The Warning. So for me it's like 53% Band Maid and 47% The Warning....... this song will be on Band-Maid´s new album. I'm a long time Maidiac. I love this collaboration. I have been "aware" of The Warning since they did their Enter Sandman cover many many moons ago. I have always "liked" them, but I never gave them my proper attention till this past weekend whilst on a road trip. They have a new fan. They're great. A totally different rock style to Band-Maid but familiar to me..... A sprinkling of Stoner/Sludge. Band-Maid and DPA/TW met at Aftershock a couple of years ago... they were already fans of each other and both playing sets there gave them the chance to meet and get some pictures... idk when the subject of a collab came up between them but DPA/TW were already wanting to go to Japan... this was their first time there doing 4 or 5 shows, i think... at least one show was co-headliners with Band-Maid... i think that was also the performance where Show Them was debuted with both bands playing together on stage very much like in this OMV... 😂 you've been Warned! Rock isn't dead, The warning is the best three piece band I have heard since Rush. They are extremely talented, great performers, and just hit you in the feels and guts with their music. You will enjoy anything you hear from them I haven't heard a song I haven't loved. The Warning are absolutely brilliant, especially as songwriters and performers. The first hard rock band to pique my interest in decades.

😂 you've been Warned! Rock isn't dead, The warning is the best three piece band I have heard since Rush. They are extremely talented, great performers, and just hit you in the feels and guts with their music. You will enjoy anything you hear from them I haven't heard a song I haven't loved. Amazing song writing abilities
