    Thanks for the informative video! I'm on the fence about dropping the money on one of these to light the bottom section of my 65" TV from the rear. I have the gradient light strip that covers the other 3/4, but I wonder how the brightness is on these light tubes compared to the 65" strip. I have three play bars right now mounted near the bottom of the TV on a entertainment stand that does a decent job, but I would rather the light come from the back of the TV facing the wall and downwards, over firing against the wall as the play bars are now.

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  9 месяцев назад

      That's a great question and I"m not quite sure how to answer it. I think it is essentially the same thing as a light strip but with the strip integrated into the tube, so in theory the length of it should be just as bright as the light strip.

      @@adamtalkstech is it as bright as 2 play bars? I have 2 play light bars behind my TV and want to know if it's brighter than those before I invest the money in the larger light tube.

      @adamtalkstech  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@AjCaputo101 I’d say it’s comparable. The plays are a little more flexible how you move them or aim them

    Can this be used in conjunction with the gradient light strip? The strip wrapped round the top & sides of the TV & the gradient tube picking up the colours at the bottom of the screen? I have the gradient strip but 4 play bars mounted to the rear of a unit below the TV to match the lower colours. I find the bars to be a bit too chunky & the sticky pads are losing their grip & they’re falling off.

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  Год назад +1

      Yes sure could be used with it. I think you just set up the motion zones on the hue app and set this light for it and the location.

    To get light at the bottom of the TV through the sync box, would it be better to go for the tube or ambiance gradient light strip?

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  Год назад

      I'd go with the tube because its an all in one fixture and you don't have to hide anything or stick it to anything.

    In my country the price difference of the small and large is even smaller, €204 for the large and €198 for the small.. I have a 55 inch tv, do you think the large would work for me?
    I saw the large being placed at a pc monitor in your video, does that work with syncing for you?

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  Год назад

      I haven’t had a chance to try the Mac hue sync app yet.
      Most 55” tvs are about 47” wide and the large bar measures 54 long so I think you would probably want the compact unless you don’t mind the bar being wider than your tv. I’ve got links for both in the description!
