Yes Sunny lost his sister, the rest of the kids lost their good friend... but Hero lost his childhood lover that ended up affecting his real dreams when growing up, he bottled up so much pain and quit cooking. Seeing how lovey dovey him and Mari were in Basil’s photos always breaks my heart
It's a lot harder to go in depth on hero simply because he doesn't show it at all. We only really get two scenes that talk about it or show it, so it's insanely difficult to do this kinda stuff on hero.
Yeah he's my favorite character and as a Heromari shipper, seeing those two where Kel talks about how hard it was for Hero after Mar's death and Hero crying over Mari's piano was so heartbreaking :((

Sometime people forget how it affected Hero and in a way Kel, Aubrey was sure devasted but she at least kept a certain 'sanity' while Hero was just extremly depressed and was feeling extremly guilty about this. In a way he reacted like Sunny, shutting down and feeling only guilt about this, but he was saved by his brother. It was an extremly hard time for him and that can be traumatizing for his future relationships, especially when he'll learn/has learned the truth. He will be very protective but not give his confiance with some people by being afraid they'll maybe die (of course he'll probably overcome this and all, but this can still happen). Sunny overcomed his trauma, but Hero overcomed what he thought was true. That's a long way up..

I had to look up the lyrics, they fit so well for this song! Don't know how perfect the translation is, but it seems "ikanaide" means "don't go away." There's a lot of other parallels between the lyrics and Hero, like time moving on without him which I think fits pretty well- he wasn't able to accept Mari's death nor visit her grave, and spent a year very out of it/depressed. Side note idk why but I love sketchy styles sm, it really just amplifies the emotion sometimes :')

Kel will now tell Sunny that when Mari died Hero locked himself away for a year, not taking care of himself. for himself and even vented his anger on Kel in a very heavy way, something a gentle person like Hero had never done before. However, when he saw his younger brother Kel burst into tears, Hero immediately apologized and forced himself to return to normal life so as not to worry his family. In addition, Hero also gave up his childhood dream of being a chef to study to be a doctor according to his family's wishes. Enough to see how deeply Mari's death affected Hero :( I took it from another Vietnamese comment
Absolutely amazing. I love it so much. Deserves more comments. One of my favourite debates on the game is how Hero hearing Mari playing the piano plays into the hallucination/spirit debate. Hero was very well represented here. I loved it.
