I've never had an older sibling because I'm the oldest, but I have two younger ones. So this being in Mari's POV hits different then when in Sunny's/Omori's.

Seeing things from Mari's POV breaks my heart. I'm glad we can see that Mari still loves her brother, no matter what.

@@vloggerbonakid6178 Moving a person with spine damage might be the difference between recovery, handicap, coma or death. So if Mari ever survived the fall, moving her body definitely didn't help.

I love how omori looks so childish while Sunny’s appearance is a little more mature. Omori is meant to preserve the childhood innocence of sunny and as such appears as a child.
Once there was a dreaming boy and a sleeping girl
No one knew of their different meanings
The dreaming boy and sleeping girl were the best of friends
But one day...
The sleeping girl never woke up from her slumber
From that day, the dreaming boy only dreamt
He dreamt of them playing together with friends
He dreamt of them all smiling
He dreamt of them all having fun
And they were both together
The dreaming boy went into this dream for a very long time, hoping maybe one day, he wouldn’t wake up ether
But he always did
His friends trying to help him
One left
Two left
Three left
But the last one stayed
The friend kept trying
Until the dreaming boy woke up, and played with him again.
Soon all of the dreaming boy’s friends came back to him
They were happy.
But the dreaming boy was forced to leave.
But the memories stayed with him forever.

dude, this ain't trash at all! I love the pastels, the amount of motion and actual animation, all the little details like the white egret orchids (I think that's what they are), the sodas, the simple, sketchy, yet still beautiful shading and lighting, and all tied together with Mari's point of view and an adorable artstyle. This is not trash, it is a gorgeous and moving work of art
Nice little detail there when you showed Sunny kissing Mari's forehead at the funeral, the dream version of her felt that. Like the real Mari's spirit/memories were somehow resonating with the version Sunny dreamt up. But in the end it's irrelevant weather or not Mari is really possessing her dream version because no matter what version of Mari it is she'll always love and try to protect Sunny. Even when the dream becomes aware of itself and as such fades. It's as if she metaphorically sacrificing herself for him. Given this is Headspace and it has been reset multiple times, you know everytime that Mari would choose this path. Such a great job on this animation by the way. It's rare to see something in Omori framed from the perspective of Mari. I've been depressed over this game for a while now. The narrative it tells is hauntingly familiar to me on a personal level so thank you
I love this idea, that Headspace Mari, or possibly even Mari's ghost, is ignorant of her fate and her role as SOMETHING, until Sunny begins looking deeper, and she comes to slow and painful realization with him, that she's gone.
I always think of Mari's death as if it was all a dream to make me feel better

And I love that this Omori animatic focused on the brother and sister dynamic of Mari and Sunny, something that could be used in future animatics other people might make based on this.

The song and how you made this animation in Mari's point of view of her forgiving her brother for literally taking her life is just so beautifully wonderful bro. Man this animation breaks my heart every time. You truly never stop being the oldest, even if your dead (from a metaphorical standpoint).

maybe Sunny's representation of Mari is always with him because it's sort like a protective spirit, but it's just messed up because of the incident

I love how the entire song is played with a piano, it really does fit to have it be from mari's perspective. Great animation too, it made me cry towards the end 😭

but honestly, this is such a lovely animatic! seeing maris death from her eyes feels like such a new perspective, and its a heartbreaking one. but this animatic is just SO NICE for those same reasons, not to mention how cute your style is! i love it!
It's so beautiful I can't stop crying... this is just masterful, I can't believe you aren't satisfied with it! I've watched it several times now (and probably will revisit it a lot) and every bit of it is so pretty and charming to look at, well thought out, and moving that it's hard to even pick out specific things to praise, but I'd like to try. Hope you don't mind a long comment ._.
The transition where Mari tries to go to Omori in white space but falls back down the stairs, waking up on the picnic blanket, was incredible. It really made the line of the song that went along with it hit hard, to see her trying to reach him but being brought back to the suddenly sickly sweet seeming fantasy world and simultaneously brought back to how she died mentally. The expressions and movements you gave Mari right after when she sees the cake and feels sick are so powerful, it's very well drawn. As an artist I'd struggle to capture that emotion on her face, so it really impressed me! I think the scene you came up with when Mari is crying over her piano is my favorite part of the animatic... it fits the two so well, and carries an emotional punch equivalent to watching Final Duet in game. You really managed to perfectly portray what makes this story so compelling in just one interaction-- the deep love that the siblings shared and how bittersweet it is now. I think what I love most about it though is that it doesn't just recreate what the game gave me, it adds a new perspective. This animatic gives Mari a lot of personality and manages to stay in character while still showing sides of her the game didn't explore. Also dear god your art is just beautiful in itself. I could say a LOT more honestly but all that really matters is that I've really fallen in love with this animatic and I hope you can tell how much I admire your work!

I love the idea of Dream Mari knowing the truth. Maybe the whole lost library thing was actually her attempt to help him accept it, and she didn't get banished because Omori loves her too much.
