Its not the event which is creepy, its the event name. The simple yet declarative sentence”Mari is home” is given this weird and uncomfortable vibe as it almost seems like an order
I hated that in the room where Something says I love you to omori, the moving images in the background have some wholesome pictures of sunny and mari and two images from the truth segment, that hurts!
Something that makes this so eerie in my eyes is that until the very end of the game, in SUNNY's dreams, he *never* acknowledges his present reality. Sure, there are allusions to and bits of his past, but you never see any of his present-day friends or any reference to the stuff SUNNY's seen during the real world sections, which you'd think he'd think about more. You have to go through this elaborate, bizarre process just to find any of his real, present friends or house. Just goes to show how bad his mental repression truly is. EDIT: I feel like this sequence might represent SUNNY wondering what it would be like if MARI was still alive today or if she came back, something that he probably would've thought about if he hadn't repressed the truth and that probably eats away at his subconscious. That's why it's so hard to reach--not only is thinking about his present reality unacceptable, it makes him think about how things could've gone if he never pushed her... And that's probably also why you have to reach it through the "SUNNY... I love you..." room. God this game is messed up. The way OMOCAT combines the visuals, music and everything in BLACK SPACE really makes it fuck with your head. I don't know if I'll ever find anything that represents what trauma makes your mind feel like as accurately. Plus you just have to wonder who even thought to put this in the game. BS2 just goes so deep, it feels like we might never really find all the stuff inside it.
Its also probably a continuation or relation to sunny's nightmare hallucination at the start of the game with hellmari at the door. As if that moment was foreshadowing for this very event
If you don't open the door MARI will come inside herself and will chase you Another random answer: Something is based off of MARI'S lifeless eye staring through her black hair while she was hanging, and so it scarred SUNNY and it looked like a 1 eyed thing.
Oh I know, I made a separate video showing it a while ago. I also know about the inciting incident that created Something, but I see it more like him dehumanizing the image of her into some indistinguishable monster to distance it from the actual trauma, but being unable to fully remove it from his mind.
Fun fact: The creepy eyes seen above Sunny's room are actually from a giant STRANGER, but it's hard to see with all the static and darkness. This event can also happen 1/10 times upon entering the room during the last night of the OMORI route, where the rest of STRANGER is much more visible.
Some games shouldn't be turned into movies because games only really work as this specific medium, especially a psychologist horror game that uses it's limitations to it's advantage, the horror doesn't work the same way with a movie.
Are you sure you're on the Sunny route and are looking in the right place in the docks? It should be there, even if you went in already, it lets you go back in the house (except for the Mari hallway, that's limited). If you're on the Sunny route, you should see statistic occasionally appear on the screen, because he's kinda not supposed to be there.
@@WalkThrough_101 After finding the letter C I went to Basil's house and unlocked the first black space but nothing happened after 143sec to do this. I don't remember whether or not I opened the door for Kel on the route, maybe it depends on that?
I made another video showing that, but she opens the door anyway and chases you down the hallway (I may have outran her so idk what happens if she catches you).
Were players supposed to find this on their own? Like, this feels like a glitch. Is this important to the plot in any way? or is just something for terror fans? do you get any achievement?
I think it's just an obscure event that people theoretically *could* find on their own, but Omocat probably assumed most people would find it either digging around the files or via other people. It's not exactly important to the plot, but a lot of the stuff in Blackspace 2 gives context for Sunny's mental state in a more abstract, slow and isolated way than normal Blackspace. It is mostly just for terror fans, but it is relevant to the story, probably Sunny still feeling freaked out from Mari appearing at the door at the beginning of the game or something. No achievement for it though
If you wanna go back to main Blackspace, yes, but you can explore more of the Blackspace 2 docks if you leave the house and experience stuff like the Red Maze if you want.
Its not the event which is creepy, its the event name.

The weirdly direct name of the event creeps me out too, but it doesn't feel like an order to me, more like a warning that fills you with dread
I hated that in the room where Something says I love you to omori, the moving images in the background have some wholesome pictures of sunny and mari and two images from the truth segment, that hurts!
Yeah, I noticed that too, there's also distorted images of the truth, I think? It's been a while since I've been back there so I may be wrong
There's something surreal about Real World Aubrey saying Omori, yet also wrong when she doesn't refer to Mari by name.

Congrats to the people who watched it on fullscreen mode, I know I didn't.
You have to wait for 143 seconds in the room.
143 stands for "I love you"..
In what room exactly?
@oboronitell TV The blackspace room at the beginning of the video, with the SOMETHING that says "I love you"

Truly the wisest advice of the game
She has such a way with words.
Mari has words that are well-put together, life changing, everlasting, quoting, inspiring, powerful, and positive words.
Truly a beautiful string of words. Mari never ceases to amaze us.

I didnt know BS2 had something like this..
Yeah, and it's only accessible if you enter Blackspace 2 on the Sunny route like this, it doesn't appear normally.
