The story Joel made up makes more sense in the show--if the hospital was being attacked, of course Ellie had to be rushed out of there. Saying that and omitting everything else wouldn't have made her suspicious, but also that probably would have defeated the purpose of the game/show.
The more I play the game and watch the show, it reminds me of the Marvel’s Spider-Man game too. Either save aunt May or the people from the Devil’s breath virus except the opposite way.

I would recommend the fans of the show to just play or watch the first game and ignore the second until after season 2 airs. I feel that playing the game first will color your impression of the show too much and you might not get the same value from it.
Interesting as I would suggest the opposite. That seeing the story before getting to play would deaden the experience. Without seeing the story first through the eyes of being the character it might get watered down. Seeing what happens is a big motivation for finishing games. It will be interesting when millions of people have had either experience and will see the show and games in completely different context due to how they first discovered it.
I didn't play the second game, and I won't be watching the second season. Even though I know what happens in the second instalment, MY experience with TLOU will forever be Joel and Ellie on that journey together and that ending... that's all the story I want.
with the new information about having the mother bit after cutting the umbilical cord, the search for the cure would include intentionally getting the mother bit while under labor sheesh, what if this turns into like lab rats situation in the future.
I have an opposing opinion to almost everyone. But it’s a positive one. I’m someone whose played the first game 10 times and on grounded more than once. The second game I have played and I’d play it more, if it wasn’t such a miserable story (not saying it’s bad, just miserable). So, my opinion is I didn’t enjoy the shot for shot scenes. I did like the stuff you did differently. Nostalgia will always make me prefer the original scene, so it’s when you did things differently. Even slightly that I preferred it. Making Sam a small boy and not a similar age. Good addition. Same with the changed to Kansas. I do wish there was more infected/Hunter encounters, even if it was scenes of them simply hiding. However that one in episode 5 has got to be the best outbreak scene I’ve ever seen since the Resident evil 3 PS1 intro. One of the worst adaptations I’ve seen is in the resident evil movie (maybe the 4th one) where they copied the fight from resident evil 5 shot for shot, just worse. You guys made a fantastic show. I can’t wait for season 2.

Tiger Woods has been casted for Abby.
Gonna be epic
❤❤❤
I didn't play the second game, and I won't be watching the second season. Even though I know what happens in the second instalment, MY experience with TLOU will forever be Joel and Ellie on that journey together and that ending... that's all the story I want.
Ashley is back as Ellie's mom
All fungi are edible. Some fungi are only edible once.
💯 ❤
I think we can all agree that whoever gets casted as Abby is the bravest person on earth.
I wanna know what troy thinks about the multiplayer thats coming out if hes gonna have another role in that
with the new information about having the mother bit after cutting the umbilical cord, the search for the cure would include intentionally getting the mother bit while under labor sheesh, what if this turns into like lab rats situation in the future.
Hehe. If viewers thought the ending to Season One was challenging, just wait until early in Season Two..........
While I love Pedro As Joel I would've love to seen Troy as The Live Action Joel.
