@@Country_Veteran_ What's wrong with the shed? Is it not better than sitting on a normal brake run? I agree, it was totally overhyped in the beginning, but it's a unique way to make a brake run better.
I’ve ridden 29 total roller coasters between both of these parks, 13 at kings island and 16 at cedar point. Both are amazing parks with a phenomenal coaster lineup, both are definitely in the top 3 cedar fair parks for me!
Unpopular opinion: Backlot Stunt Coaster is really good (i’ve only been to king’s island btw). The launch is good, the triple helix is fun and the rest is fun but my favourite part is where you go in the dark. Great ride, my 6th fav at King’s Island under Banshee and above Racer.

@@fadeawayjay887 We're in between CP and KI and visit a similar amount of times each year, but a little closer to KI and a few more visits per year, so very familiar with all involved. We generally pick a ride to lap 20x on each visit along with several on all the other good ones and it's always either Diamondback or Orion. They never get old and are both IMO superior to MF. I only really feel the need to ride it once or twice a visit (where as we lap SV and Mav and even do magnum more). The first drop and pullout are epic, but it kind of falls apart after that. It's fun, but there is no remaining element as good as the majority of DB and Orion. Those floater hills I swear hit so much harder when I was a kid.
@@mikewalker4950 ig ur right, but personally I like rides with tons of speed which is the reason I like millennium force better than diamond back because it keeps is speed much better

This is just my rough guide when I approach the parks. I consider any wait shorter than listed to be a "good deal" and time well spent. For me, the wait is part of the experience of the ride while walking and waiting is part of the overall experience of the park. It's like a budget in some ways. "How much time do I want to spend in line right now?" or "Can I come back later and find a shorter line?"
If it didn't beat the crap outta ya it would rank higher. We used to hit it up at the end of the night since you could just run right back on. Same thing with Mean Streak. That was back when we were in our early twenties, though. Getting old makes coasters hurt more lol.
You're missing the 2 coasters from Stricker's Grove in Ross, Ohio. One is fairly notable, Tornado. The other is a kiddie coaster, but is one of only a couple dozen certified ACE classic coasters
I am two credits away from being able to make a full Ohio coaster tier list. One kiddie, and tt2 needs to actually open. Tornado at stricker's is by far the best not at the top 2 parks, but the former geauga lake rides that still exist, and the spinning wild mouse at the state fair probably rank above it
Based on my two visits to Cedar Point in 2015 and 2017 plus my solo visit to Kings Island in 2015, my favorite Ohio roller coaster is Millennium Force followed by Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, The Beast, Gatekeeper, Banshee, The Bat, Diamondback, Firehawk (R.I.P.), Valravn, Raptor, Flight of Fear, Rougarou, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Wicked Twister (R.I.P.), Adventure Express, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, The Racer, Blue Streak, Vortex (R.I.P.), Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Invertigo, Magnum XL 200, Mean Streak and Gemini.
Fun video! Would have loved for your list to have some sort of order, Luke alphabetical, order from opening dates, etc. Also, would have good recap at the end....x # of coasters are elite from Cedar Point vs Kings Island
Wdym unique? Cedar creek mine ride and magnum have the same janky experience 😂😂 ride them back to back you’ll see. I even got a good magnum ride the airtime at the end was great, but the rest does absolutely nothing while feeling like arrows classic mine train
1. Would love to have more defunct roller coasters featured like Vortex, Mean Streak and others 2. I agreed with everything except Mystic Timbers (too low). But just my opinion. Great post
I love seeing the love for blue streak. In 2019, I had one of my favorite rides of the day being a night ride in the back row on blue streak. Tremendous amounts of airtime, and my lap bar was no where near my legs so I had plenty of room
Even by your logic, it seems odd to put Magnum below Blue Streak. Remember, on these coasters with three rows per car, it might be a good idea to try the middle row of the car for a smoother ride. The smoother ride has to do with it not being directly above a set of wheels. This applies on Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini, and Magnum XL-200. The middle of the train often seems to provide a less jerky ride too, though this does not apply on everything. Corkscrew seems MUCH more enjoyable in the last car of the train. Rougarou turns enjoyable in the front. Magnum and Raptor used to be pretty smooth, and I blame the change to increased roughness more with changing maintenance standards in recent years (like replacing the wheels less often), rather than age. PS: Have you tried Iron Dragon with the new virtual reality addition. I'm not sure if it has been used since the pandemic start, but it does add an interesting spin on an old ride. I hope they bring that back as it was. Also, Corkscrew is the next coaster out if one has to go, IMO. My opinion on Corkscrew comes from how unpopular it is with younger kids who are newbie coaster riders. It is an extra rough headbanger for little ones, given their shorter height. ~Sean of Detroit~
I’d personally put Adventure Express, FoF, Millie, and Wicked Twister all in Great tier. I have a very soft spot for the first 2, and I still would rather have a 15-2 ride on Wicked Twister than any ride on Millennium Force. Great list otherwise!!
This list is not great regardless but the worst offense is referring ro Backlot stunt coaster as "the one and only" It's a clone and all the clones literally share the same name. In fact every single ride on this list EXCEPT that are one and onlys. Also blue streak should be lower. Valravn should be higher and Mystic Timbers is elite.
Better than Elite- Steel Vengeance Elite: Maverick, Magnum XL-200 Great- Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Orion, Diamondback, Mystic Timbers Good- Gatekeeper, Raptor, Gemini, Banshee, Bat, Beast Average: Valravn, Blue Streak, Rougarou, Wicked Twister, Back Lot Stunt Coaster Poor- Flight of Fear, Racer, Invertigo, Iron Dragon, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Adventure Express, Pure Garbage- Corkscrew, Flying Ace The Woodstock Express are average and are pretty good for kids.
Call me old school but I would 100% switch Diamondback with Magnum. Magnum is like a historic mom and pop pizza place and Diamondback and B&M hyper's are like Domino's. Domino's/B&M hyper's are consistent and solid but it's basically the same thing everywhere and can be kind of sterile. With a mom and pop, they might have some wobbly tables, a sign with a missing letter, and the same guy sweaty guy making the pie's for the last 30 years but the pizza is so delicious and those quirks are what give it character. Those quirks of a mom and pop place that you'd never see in a Domino's are like the shaky/jerky transitions on Magnum. A lot of people find it unappealing but for me it's part of the experience and nostalgia that adds a little extra kick of personality that I wouldn't want to change if I could.

I wouldn't say dragster is an elite tier simply because of it's short ride time and the fact that it is a one-trick pony, solid 6th in the park for me. Ka is the same ride, but a little rougher, and you don't see that getting in the elite tier, or even the great tier for that matter.
I would disagree about Orion. Just like almost all of the Gigas, it doesn’t do much and I prefer hypers. Except I305 that ride is insane. Most Gigas I would put at good or great tier
Orion is "Good " tier at best. Elite drop for sure, but the drop is followed by nothing even worth talking about let alone praising or suggesting it's more intense than Millie. Equal airtime in all honesty while Millie has a more noticeable sense of speed. Orion is superficial.

orion is the best b&m giga in ohio!
I agree, but mostly because it’s the only one in Ohio.
Elite: Mystic, Maverick, Diamondback
Great: MF, Orion, SteVe, Banshee, TTD, Raptor
Good: Gemini, Valravn, Gatekeeper, Bat, Beast, Flight of Fear, Racer, Adventure Express, Backlot
Meh: Blue Streak, Iron Dragon, Woodstock (either), Magnum, Rugarou
Bad: Corkscrew, Invertigo, CCMR, FAAC
I don't get the hate for AE. SteVe is painful for me.
You should feel shame for this
@@dubvuchyea502 I will never feel shame for being right.
@@DoomPlague you've never felt the warmth of being right
Mystic isn’t in the same multiverse as SV
