5:55 I feel like Magnum's experience depends entirely on which seat on the train you're in and what part of the day you go. When you go later in the day and you sit near the back, the ride is all warmed up and is gonna be much faster and you're gonna feel every drop, turn, angle, and shake on that ride. If you want a balanced, smoother ride, you gotta go early in the day and hop on closer to the front (row three).

Personally, the I think the bunny hills at the end of Steel Vengeance is the perfect ending. I always see people make the most noise of excitement at this part of the ride other than the first drop, they are great moments of airtime to finish the ride.

I don’t find Rougarou rough at all. Honestly the only issue I ever had with Mantis was the uncomfortable standing position.

@@AdamSmith-gs2dv I wouldn’t call that rough. That’s just aggressive. Paired with the OTSRs it can lead to some head banging for those who are unprepared. Personally I’ve never really hit my head any there. I just stick my neck out a little when it comes and that always works. Also I find the B&M OTSRs to be really well padded so that helps.

Valravn surprised me A LOT when I first rode it. I thought it was gonna be too smooth and just your typical dive coaster but it's actually got a lot of wild moments that surprised me and were very enjoyable

The initial drop of Millennium and the view going up keeps me coming back, plus the long, smooth turns are wonderful. Add the air time in the middle and it's near perfection. It's low nausea level is a plus also. There's just something about Millie that is pure love.
Rougarou is very underrated.

Nice video and great seeing ya at The Park today. I totally agree about SV's finale, I think they tried to outdo LR's Quad Down and failed miserably with just painful ejector air. I did however take it up in my Rankings after my visit in June. I still prefer Maverick over SV though.

I actually didn’t mind the little bunny hills at the end of SV. Got to ride that coaster September 2020. And I have to agree that it instantly became my favorite coaster. I’ve been to about a dozen parks, with so many parks I haven’t been to, maybe there is a coaster that is better. SV is #1 on my list though.

I agree. Because the back story of this ride reveals a competitive nature between the Chamberlin brothers (Maverick and Blackjack) and Maverick has the feel of the coaster trying to throw you off, I see the bunny hills as Blackjack trying to one-up Maverick with the unrelenting bucking to finish the ride. Overall, I think Steel Vengeance successfully one-ups Maverick.

BUT then again VF has the same issue that Coney Island (Cincinnati) use to have. Its location. Granted as Im not from the MSP area so I don't know how often it happens but I do know Valleyfair does flood when the Minnesota river floods. Im also not sure what the yearly attendance is for Valleyfair. But if they don't pull in crowds, and have flooding issues I can see why corporate would put it on the back burner for some time, though I will say I think they as well as Dorney, and Worlds of Fun have been on the "back burner" for to long now.

i actually really enjoy the rmc bunny hills, theyre like little nuggets of ejector and i feel like its pretty unique to their company and most manufacturers dont do that. their way of having an element before the brakes other than a tired sluggish helix. but i also get what you mean. not the best finale out there, but still pretty good.

I totally agree about the Steel Vengeance finale. I heard so much hype about how every bunny hill was filled with ejector and I just feel maybe mild floater at most. Not really any more than the pre lift bunny hills. I just had my first and only ride on National Roller Coaster Day last month. It was a hot day at 5 pm, I was not stapled and in the back row...but I still felt underwhelmed in general.
Don't get me wrong, I laughed the whole time and it's definitely in my top 5... And yet...
The outer bank turn gets so much hype and I feel stronger air on Diamondback and Shivering Timbers all the time.
I can't stop thinking about my GP cousin's reaction to Steel Vengeance. He loves inversions but is terrified of airtime. Refused to ride anymore at KI after getting off Diamondback. So I asked him why Steel Vengeance didn't scare him. And he did not even remember which coaster that was or which park it was at until I said "Its the one that used to be Mean Streak."
He said "Did that one have any airtime? I just remember the ending tried to send me to the chiropractor."
According to the internet Steel Vengeance is the smoothest coaster with the most airtime and great inversions.
"Did that one have any airtime?"
He didn't even remember the inversions, it just blended in with all the other rides.
So yay, another victory for Cedar Point's hype machine I guess. Going all the way back to Avalanche Run...I have been getting excited about a new coaster at Cedar Point only to find it was over hyped.
I think Maverick is the only CP coaster I wasn't disappointed in. It's a perfect ride and they didn't try to over inflate our expectations on that one... But now that I think about it, I didn't love Maverick until they changed the restraints...

I think that there are three different types of airtime, Floater which you find on b&m hypers, ejector which you find on intamins, and deadly which you find on steel vengeances end. ( i was in the very back so it kinda hurt)

I completely agree with what you're saying about those annoying bunny hills at the end of Steel Vengeance. They should have made one or two bigger airtime hills. Perhaps Alan Schilke thought the end of the ride could only slap with small elements, but I didn't really like them.

The bunny hills are actually what makes Steve my CP #2 behind Maverick! It just makes the ride draw out and imo kills any adrenaline, especially when you’re going so comparatively slow. I’d rather halt in the break run still breathless and amazed.

My next bold prediction is about Gemini I think it’s gonna be bigger than certain what you think. The way I look at it it looks old and I think something a lot better to replace it. How about an RMC ground up hybrid coaster better than twisted colossus. Instead it would be a dual loading station and they would go up at the exact same time and race from start to finish just like my home in park lightning racer at Hersheypark.A second option I think might be better a longer modern up-to-date wooden roller coaster none other than by GCI.

@@darock233 Yep if they’re on it’s very subtle but mid course on raptor needs to be off otherwise the entire second half of the ride goes from being epic to mediocre

I’m going to be totally honest, I absolutely hate Magnum. The first time I rode it I was just waiting for it to end. The airtime is more painful than Skyrush and it’s jerky.

Also I wouldn't have SteVe in top 3, but that's just because RMC doesn't know how to make coaster restraints and I'm 6'7, but I can still appreciate the ride for all it does, even if its uncomfortable

Hey Brandon how are you? I have just re-watched this video at least for the third time if not more even though I never been to Cedar point but I have some different ideas and predictions. If corkscrew is a bad coaster I think a good replacement for it would be A RMC single rail coaster Like jersey devil.
