I happen across this and it’ll be a perfect gift for my granddaughter for Christmas~I delivered her and have raised her by myself since and being disabled and on a limited income this will be a beautiful gift I am able to make her! Thank you doesn’t seem enough for this step by step tutorial! Immediately subscribed and I can’t wait to make it! I ordered “Earl Grey” Caron Latte Cake (250 g/530 yrd) skein. I hope it’s enough for this one! I’ll look for a matching scarf pattern to make or I’ll just do some “puffs” every 4” after single stitch for 3 feet~or till my yarn runs out of the 2nd skein. I actually have tears bc I’m so excited and being 16 I know she’ll love it!!!
I made one of these last week and it's the softest most wonderful thing I've ever felt! My sister loved it so much that she stole it, and now I have to make another one for myself! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You’re very welcome and I’m glad you both love your hats :)
I love this hat beautiful and easy to follow. Thanks.
I’m glad you like it!
Just. Purchased this yarn! Didn't know what to do with it! Thank you for this project! Thanks sara for your great channel!!!😃
You’re very welcome! I will have two more patterns using the Latte Cakes coming out in the next week :)
Rich Textures Crochet Can you please link me. Trying to do the slouchy beanie and the brim is killing me with the slip stitches. Please help.
I’m good. Doing it in SC. 😂
Tanacarroll perfect!
@@RichTexturesCrochet can you make a crop top sweater, with slaves that have criss cross x on top?
I am starting this now but going to do my brim with hdc stitches. I think I'd be going for an hour with slip stitches lol. I made an asymetrical shawl the other day and have an entire cake left so I'm going to make a matching hat. I am in love with this yarn and find it pretty easy to work with.
Personally I found it much easier with this yarn at the head band, to use single crotchet stitch then choosing the back stitch at the 10 count to verses the slip stitch. With this yarn and all the wonderful fluffiness to it, it's much, much easier to see and work with. Great tutorial!
Yes many people prefer to do the brim with sc. it goes much quicker!

I love this & want to make 1 for my daughter. I have some of this yarn in my stash already (different colour of course). My question is, do the bobbles hide or soften the transition of the colour changes? I made an Afghan in this yarn & I wasn't happy that I could see the transition (it's a thing for me, not an issue with the specific yarn). I like your idea of the brim being 1 solid colour.
Hello! Will Hygge yarn do well for this, it looks very similar and I have 3 I’m trying to use up. Thank you!
Are you slii stitching the first row, in the back loop of the foundation chain?
I have a roll and a half of this yarn. It's very hard to make something with it. I envisioned a crop sweater. I'm scared it might not look right. But I like the feel of this it's so soft....
How soft it is is one of the things I love about it too! As a crop top it would feel like you’re wearing a hug :)
It makes beautiful cowls or scarf and hats. So soft.
Love the hat any suggestions on child sizes?
Hi, I’m trying to work with this yarn, and am having a bit of trouble with gague. What size hook did you use?
I only have less than half of the 530-yd skein. Is that enough for this beanie?
When you mean 17 does that mean how many rows you’ve crocheted. Starting from the begging
This hat is working up enormous. I used 5.75 mm...the tutorial called out 6 mm. Woukd you pkease share dimensions?
This is the link to the written pattern which includes the dimensions of the hat. Also, although the latte cakes are considered a bulky weight, I find them more on the thinner side so if you are working with a different yarn it could greatly change the size of the hat

Ese hilo causa alguna bestia a piel. PR Digna
Is there another way to do the brim? These slip stitches are killing me. Help somebody.
You can do it also with an sc, just stop when you get to the 18 inch length :)
Rich Textures Crochet I did that and it turned out so much quicker but I see what you meant bc the brim
is not as springy. Turned out good but the hat was a different story! Got off on my stitch count and was awful. I’m getting the feel of the latte yarn though so that’s good! Thank you!
Do you need the whole cake for this hat?
I did not use the whole cake, however I did want my entire brim to be one colour so I cut my cake apart in a couple of places to achieve that. Otherwise I used about 3/4 of the cake.
@@RichTexturesCrochet thanks for replying!!!! I have about a half a cake left. I'm going to try to make it work !!!!
You’re welcome!
Very disappointed with this yarn. I made three hats and the yarn matted after washing. Very disappointed. I started to make a sweater with this yarn and abandoned the project.
