- Zavala and Ikora had something to say after Saint-14 returned back to the Tower. Rest all other Venders has no changes on their Intro on approach.
Even Osiris doesn't have anything to say. Only these two guys all but interested on his return.

I believe she was chuckling it as a compliment towards 'us'. Not too negative in her tone. [tries to explain]
After Zavala said that saints idolize us I can imagine a picture of us with the text underneath “big things start with small beginnings” in his room

Wouldnt be possible with shin malphur bc he is a shadow of Yor as Well and we would have to give back the last word, and osiris wouldnt accept the role but Saint would

Since people are wondering, here. Why saving Saint works and saving Cayde won’t.
Saint
-was isolated for many years and had no impact upon the world before or after his death technically speaking
-was in the infinite forest for decades as far as I remember
-the mind that sapped away his light was only tuned to him, and we managed to destroy it
-everything that happens when interfering with Saint’s fate has no impact upon anything outside of the infinite forest
Cayde
-Extremely influential in us pursuing to destroy the Scorn, and Uldren
-Without Cayde’s death we never would have learned of the Dreaming City, the fate of Mara, nothing
-We would have never slain Riven(No idea how to weigh this one as she is just as dangerous dead as she was alive)
-Pulled Pork would never get his guardian. If you deny Pulled Pork happiness, I will destroy you
If Cayde is brought back then all of Forsaken might as well not be canon. Cayde’s death was horribly needed. There were no stakes in Destiny for the longest time. Year one of D2 was hell in terms of gameplay aspect and story. Remember how we killed a worm god with a stick? Cayde needs to stay dead, we can’t bring him back with a deus ex machina. I have a feeling he’ll come back eventually in some way. If not, I will be surprised.

One more thing, Saint-14 was only in lore or some cutscenes before season of dawn. It was like complete new interaction to his Character more than Cayde-6. Atleast in D2 Cayde will remain dead I feel. May be in next of Destiny Series, they can revive him back.
Didn't Cayde made Ikora and Zavala to promise him to not bring him back, It was in the Ace of Spades quest, Something about not going past 6th reboot because he doesn't like the number 7 or something like that.
There is another factor. Vex technology in regards to time manipulation, only works in places they have had a foothold and built up a major presence in, like the Infinite Forest or Vault of Glass. Because those 2 places exist outside of the time stream effectively, where you can travel and manipulate time at will. Vex tech only works in places of Vex tech, that's why we could bring Saint back because he died in the forest, a place where the Vex have been manipulating time. We cant bring back cayde because he did not die in a Vex controlled area, and is ergo, not intractable with their tech.
He'll come back brought back to life by the darkness and will force you in choosing between him and the vanguard. I'm calling it

Cayde's will didn't state "the title should pass through the hands of every hunter vanguards killer" it said "whoever kills me gets my gun, my debts, and my job". Meaning this only applys to Uldren/Crow and no one else. Not only that but if you still dont think Crow will be the new HV after season 13 you're delusional. Bungie has made it painfully obvious where Crow's story is headed.

No! Band of Cayde widows, you can't bring him back by time travel while the Dreaming City curse is active, let alone magically bring him back through the Crypt, this thing and the exos don't work as you think, read the lore.

yes. he died on mercury in a war with the vex searching for osiris. theres a story sequence we can do on mercury where we look for Saint 14 n find him dead in a vex memorial they mustve made for him
Yes. That memorial is shown in Roadmap image also I guess.

@@moaadm4620 I'm gonna make a wild guess as to what she meant. She's most likely referencing the butterfly effect. If we were to go and bring back Cayde... well it could have a lot of negative consequences. Not quite sure what they would be, for all we know nothing would change, or it could mean the end of humanity (that's an extreme example, worst case scenario.)but screwing with time is not something we should make a habit of doing.

@@moaadm4620 I wouldn't mind either of those things. Ace of spades was Cayde's prize. In my opinion it should only be in his hands. And Uldron... I could go a thousand guardian lifetimes without seeing that piss ant emo punk, and it'd STILL be too soon.. didn't like him in D1 and despised him in 2.
Why don’t we bring cayde back
If we bring back Cayde it would change things mostly bad things it's the rules of time travel
Bringing back Cayde would change the time line to much and risk chaotic paradoxes. Caydes death set a lot of people on very specific paths, and “moving” him through time before he dies would disrupt everything with Uldren and the dreaming city. Saint on the other hand can be brought forward as his death was a mystery (no one actually saw him die) that ultimately didn’t affect much. There will still be some sort of ramifications for moving Saint, but nowhere near to the scale of what would happen if we moved Cayde.
Simply put, the Sundial is limited to Mercury, at least in a stable fashion.
The Cabal are breaking things to make it work everywhere else which could have dire consequences. You should Listen to Osiris during the Sundial runs, he even says they could easily accidentally write themselves out of time.

Not sure how possible it is but why not use the sundial to bring back Cade
It isn't. For one, the Sundial was tuned specifically to bring back Saint-14 and it sounds like Osiris made a dangerous bargain to even get the thing to work. For two, the only time Cayde had any time with a Vex system was when he was stuck in a loop on Nessu all of the way back in the Red War. For three, there's no Perfect Paradox-like item tied to Cayde like there was with Saint. Which that item gave us the exact temporal coordinates to key points in Saint's history on Mercury.

The reason we were able to save Saint was because all the actions were locked to the infinite forest, by killing the vex mind there we were able to reset the timeline of that era and bring saint out.
If we did the same for cayde it would mean we'd never learn of the dreaming city, glint wouldn't have a guardian, we'd never of met riven and killed her.
@@horrorpleb249 Plus Cayde didn't die within a Vex network and doesn't have a whole paradox tied to him. It's more likely we could save Praedeth and Kabir within the Vault of Glass than we could bring back Cayde. Even then, with Praedeth, the only thing we pulled out was his remains and his memory.

@@horrorpleb249it wasn’t so much a reset as one particular change. Remember, Saint took the long way back by staying in there fighting Vex until present day and met us back at the gate. So it maintained the timeline while making one paradoxical change

Cayde has a big impact on the world and would cause paradoxes while saint was stuck and died in the infinite forest where time doesn't follow the rules and saint didn't have impact on the world like cayde
simple .....bungie needs plot progression forsaken was the first major dlc for D2 and if they just took it away then well...that would hurt them so bad they might have to scrap D2 all together

cant there is no way possible cayde died in the reef the infinite forrest has no influence outside of mercury plus cayde never went inside the infinite forest and the sole reason we were able to save saint was because he was wandering around in the forest for centuries and we went to a point in time to before he died to save him
