musicians from that era have said that initially they wanted to meet Michelle but once there were immediately attracted to Cass because of her personality and her voice- even today Cass is still remembered with love and affection!

With all the insults Cass got about her weight it may have bothered her but it never stopped her from singing ,she was a woman of talent -a voice that made people listen and she had a 💟of gold, people who had the first laugh at her, had the last laugh when she got what she always wanted a standing ovation + applause from people who came to watch her perform in her shows, thank you Cass for singing those beautiful songs with that beautiful voice of yours, you may be gone but from me + others your not forgotten,R,I,p + god bless you, AMEN,💟😘🐦🌈🌸
This is incredible. The only thing I knew about The Mama and Papas was that I liked their music which was so evocative and that Denny Doherty was from my home town. I never heard of the Halifax Three until a few weeks ago. M&P are a part of the collective soul of the Baby Boomers, the human flood after WW11. M&P touched the collective soul of North America. I'm a bit saddened also because looking across the whole panaroma of '60's Pop Folk and eventually Rock music of that era, Beach Boys, Stones, Beatles, Mamas&Papas there are really no happy stories, only a flame that eventually burns out.
Yes they would have. The two guys made a great sound. The females added a nice touch. But Cass"s voice was not exceptional or above special. Both girls were a nice added combo
@@rafaelsolorzano700 When this comes from a man, I feel doubly sorry for Cass because she would have made a man happy, safe and loved, no doubt about it. What a tragedy...

After all these years Cass is still one of my favourite singers 😊

Totally agree, Cass was the heart and soul of this group.
This is GREAT !! Especially that Shindig clip of "I call your name" - no lip-syncing, really live !!
Was "I Call Your name" a Beatles (Lennon/McCartney) song?
@@donaldfewell8908 nope but she did say in a live performance that she kind of dedicates it to John Lennon 😅
@@OzmaOfOzz Thanks!
@@OzmaOfOzz It's a Lennon McCartrney song
Anyone know where I can find the whole documentary
"We saw.. There was a dot on the beach. The dot became bigger and bigger. That turned out being Cass Elliot."
Amazing how the brutal sound of a british quartet from Liverpool changed EVERYTHING.
In fact it was Buddy Holly!
She was "huge", she was "Big", we get it lady she was a big, get over it
Despite the fact that Cass was really big, she had a magical charisma and sexuality.
Her heart, personality and charisma were every bit as big and great as she was physically.
I love how she moves on stage ~
Truth ❤
I agree ,she had a sex appeal and charisma.

Noras dove live clip. Why can't you see the whole clip??
I've never found that complete clip on yt, it seems to have better quality than seen here, ugh I hope one day I could find it.
She made your group Lady:! You would be nothing without her JEESHHHHHHHHHHHH
I have this documental on DVD and i never noticed the nora's dove song live, D: maybe because this version is faster than the other xD
May I ask what the documentary is called? Hope to get my hands on the DVD, especially if the quality is better than this upload.
I WANT THE FULL VERSION OF NORA'S DOVE DAMN IT
Well. Michelle is honest!!
Does anyone know where I can find the whole Nora's Dove clip?
Same I wanna see the entire thing.
Apparently a lot of people search for it. Ive seen countless comments on videos asking for it + on her FB page. It s not on YT.. 🥺
Are there recordings and video clips of The Mugwumps?
I haven’t found any video clips but here’s one of their songs: ruclips.net/video/-ayaj-gcT-k/видео.html

I don’t like the way Michelle Phillips keeps shading about Cass weight. Cass was the star 🌟 in that group.
She called her huge like 3 times! 🤦
"She's huge" So mean
She faked her death and became Bette Midler look at the resemblance between them and Better came out after Cass died.
and the earth is flat......just stop it
She teaches angels to sing in heaven now
How very QAnon of you....
