Absolute monster. Even as a Man Utd fan, I was terrified by his pace and aggressions back in 2007-2009. Rio and Vidic defence partnership was considered the best in the league, if not the world at that point of time, but Torres was one of the few world class strikers that demolished Man Utd’s defence.

Watching Torres, with all his teams, was like watching a tiger hunt. The success rate isn't the best, but you know something's gonna happen. Whether it's an irresistable goal, a sublime through ball, or an open net miss. A joy to watch in his absolute prime, and the best striker in the world during that period for me, as the title correctly says.

Torres is easily one of the most nostalgic footballers ever. He just played to enjoy and was amazing on the field. An absolute star for Liverpool in his first season. His dribbling and quickness were unreal and his chemistry with Gerrard was even better. Such a game changer and a great and a legendary goal scorer. Always managed to score against us (Man Utd fan). Like him a lot better than cannibal and Salah. Won Spain World Cup and Euro Cup. What else can you say? Easily the best number 9 for Liverpool.

The only people who legitimately “consider” Liverpool fans the “worst fans” are fans of rival teams. That’s just tribalism at its most primal. Fans calling themselves the best and others the worst instead of being good ol sports and understanding that there are horrid Liverpool fans equally as much as there are horrid Man U fans. Same for Barca and real etc.

The first time I saw Torres in a match was at the euro 2012. He was something very special to me at that time because it was also the first time I watched a cup at the age of 6. When Spain won the cup I was really looking forward to the world cup in Brazil to see him again. But something had happened because he wasn't in the Panini collector magazine which made me very sad. And then Spain flew out of the wc in group stage. Something went very wrong with the whole team after Torres hadn't been part of it anymore. He was such a great player :(

From 2007-2009 he was easily the best striker in the world. One of those rare players who terrified defenses whenever he had the ball and his partnership with prime Gerrard playing as a second striker in 2008 and 2009 was absolutely unstoppable. The link up play and chemistry they had was imhuman at times
Aside from the Salah, Mane and Firmino front three, I've never seen a foreign player worshipped like El Niño was by Liverpool supporters, which made his transfer to Chelsea all the more heartbreaking

    F. Torres is an excellent striker. A technical finisher. Even his long distance goals.
