i've poured my heart and soul into this video, so i hope you enjoy it.
the video took so long to make because i decided to add a completely original cutscene to the video, which isn't a part of the animation meme. i know the second portion of the video is a bit cheesy, my apologies, but minecraft is a very important and sentimental game to me due to the people i've been able to meet through it. i wanted to add some sort of tribute to them since the video is about minecraft.

im going to answer some questions because WOW this is getting a lot of attention.
“why is it called a meme?? it isnt funny”
the definition of a meme roughly translates to a trend of some sorts, something that has an original format that is intended to be remade or imitated. most of the time the word meme alone is used to describe funny stuff, yes, but in the animation community it can also be used to describe animation trends. one person makes the format, and other people make their own with their own characters. kind of like how with regular memes theres an original format and people add in their own jokes. ive noticed a lot of main stream people stumble upon animation memes after several years of them being very unknown, so i hope this explanation helps.

Its been 2 years since i came across this and it still hits those old nostalgia vibes. I'll never forget meeting my group of friends on a minecraft server when i was 14. Im 24 now and we are all still close friends and have annual meetups.

I'm pretty sure that this animation is supposed to represent how powerful a game like Minecraft can be, especially considering the community/online aspect. It can help you get over real-world situations, and you can form true relationships over the simple act of placing and removing blocks. Even if someone that is extremely close to you gets taken away from you, whether it be from the video game or from this earth, thee only true way to overcome it is to stay close to those you love.
No friendship is artificial, even if it is online.
Thank you to the two people that will probably see this rant.
That’s oddly poetic, and that’s good. It’s not a rant but more of a vent. But yeah, that’s a good analysis. Minecraft was the wonder of a whole generation. It brought people together.

This video really touches my heart. I lost a good friend of mine back in July 2019 due to a car accident. He had been one of my closest friends growing up and was the one who introduced me to minecraft (waaaayyy back in 2009) and playing the game always makes me feel like I'm reconnected to him. He was a really good friend and I miss him a lot. Thank you for making this video, it reminds me of the good times we used to spend together huddled around his computer, punchin' trees.

its sad remembering good times bc it made me remember a friend i had back in 5th grade and how she moved away and i didnt know where i havent talked to that friend in over three years now but it also reminded me of all the friends that i have made on PS4 and all the ones i played minecraft with u know simpler times and how now i'm in 8th grade and i have almost no friends so seeing this put a smile on my face relieving my stress from today and i ever start to feel stressed from now on im going to play this video cudlil thx for making this animation and may u live happily and dont give up making these animations because they help people like me who fell stressed and lonely

@@greentea_DP I think I know what you are talking about, I hate that they just made pokemon suck. The new series of pokemon is kinda trash, the entire storyline has changed and basically thrown away my childhood. Can't have sh*t in nentendo.
There was this one server I used to play on. It didn’t have all the crazy fancy stuff servers have now but it was simple survival with a non-pvp hub area. I’d remember the days I’d spend in those hub areas making new friends and starting factions. There would even be creative servers where you were granted a plot of land to create anything you wanted. There would be skin competitions, parkor maps, and so many insane things. Eventually these servers began to die out because they were dated. Friends stopped playing because they were growing up and I had to as well. I still remember those days so vividly and I wish I had recorded it in some way just to look back on it.

My best friend at the time, messaged me about my birthday in 2017.
He wished me a happy birthday. Complained about school and homework, and "Hope Christmas and new years goes good."
I haven't heard anything from him in 4 years.

every time I watch this video and the minecraft music starts to play I start to cry because I have had fun and bonded with my sister but sadly I have made no friends but I have played the game a lot for all 10 years of its life and I am glad it was made and lasted for so long.

Edit: The world's statue is still standing(seed: notch(yes low cap) in a MCPE world, the grassy plains near spawn that was where the statue was.
Copies were made and kept in safe clouds like mega and my friend has the password in a paper safe from deteriorating.

This brang back memories of my old friend group, we all used to play minecraft together, until one day one of the girls got leukemia. It was super depressing and hard for us all to deal with, especially her, but we kept playing together. And after about 2 and half years, she was lying on her deathbed, and the kemo was not helping her enough. When she was close to death, she got us all in a video chat. And she had told us goodbye, and we kept saying, " you're not going anyway, you can make it through this" but we all knew deep inside that she wasn't going to make it. The next week she had passed away, and we all sat in a moment of silence for weeks, until one day, one of the guys asked if we could get on that night cause there was something important he wanted to show us. and we all did. That night we walked through her minecraft base on our private server, and had found a lever, when we pressed it, it opened up a small door that led to a room with multiple chests. Each chest had one of our names labeled on it, and each one was filled with letters from her to us. That night I was reading them, one particular one stuck out to me. "Even when I'm gone, I'll always be here." It may. It sound like much, but to me that was everything. I miss her so much to this day, but I know she's in a better place now. Thank you for sharing this video cudlil, it brought back some of my best times with her. (Sorry for bad grammar, english is not my first language)
