Brandon Chong thank you very much and thanks for watching. I think it’s a great RC but I don’t like surprises when I get something so I like to point out the good and bad. I’m actually thinking about buying another one to experiment on. Have a great day and thanks again.
I just drove this car on new road they just put down in front of my house...i love it sooo smooth and quite... i think i got the cream of the crop... i even love the radio... blows the doors off the a959

fyi: a little toe out is intentional. It makes the steering less sensitive or twitchy - when weight transfers left or right, initiating turns, or steering near straight
It might be great on the track just like a little toe in on the rear helps drive you out of a curve but, for high speed on road use it make the car very difficult to keep away from the curbs. It seems like this is what a lot of the folks are interested in. Thanks for stopping by and checking it out. I really appreciate it. Have a great day and be safe out there!
@@RCModSquad Maybe first part followed by this lightning/subscribe slide? Intro itself seems little bit too short, but that just me. Big plus for the way how you speak (slowly and clearly). It's easy to understand for non American/English people (cheers from Poland🍺). Keep it up!

Earl Mauger thanks a bunch for watching. It’s really a fun car. I picked up a bunch of new cars that I haven’t even unboxed yet. I’m having a blast with this car.
Martijn van Spaendonck thanks for your kind words. 🙏💯👍🏻 If there’s anything you have a question about jump in and ask. I’ll do my best to answer it. Have a great day!
Well actually, I do have a question! I've seen in a video that the axles are a smaller size/thickness than usual: does this create a problem when changig to different tires that have 4mm(?) threads? Wobbling, being to lose, etc. And do you know if there are replacements with a more common size available? Was thinking of trying Mini E-Revo tires on them with maybe bigger offset hubs in the back, to compensate for the origineal back tires that are bigger.. Thanks in advance!
Martijn van Spaendonck the axles on the first version were shorter than version 2 and version 3. That’s why the wheels were falling off so many of he cars at first. The version one axle wasn’t long enough to engage the nylon in the Nylock wheel nuts. It only affected the very first cars and if you just ordered your it’s very unlikely you got a v1 car. All three versions use a 12mm hex so you should be fine considering the offset of whatever wheels you get. I’ll recommend not using a tire that’s much larger than what’s on there now and I’ll also recommend not running the car on 3s. I did it for a couple of speed runs and got by with it but eventually I did burn out both ESC’s on my first two cars. I didn’t mind because they were both meant as experimental cars so I could show everyone what did and didn’t work. I bought a third car for myself to leave completely stock except for maybe tires. I’ll try and get a video out explaining this a little better soon.
Thanks for your extensive reply! Forgot that the hubs are still 12mm size, so that will be fine indeed. Didn't know there was a version 3 car. Do you know what's different from v2? Nice video on glueing the tires that you bought and correcting the left and right tire tread pattern. : )
Martijn van Spaendonck when I ordered the third car I was hoping to get a V3 so I could be sure. I got another V2 car. As far as I know the only difference in V2 and V3 is they added a button on top of the ESC. I did order another ESC and it is the latest one. I ripped the burned out unit apart and the only thing I see is the button on the new one is taller and actually sticks out the top of the ESC. So other than being a little easier to push I don’t think anything else changed. Since I didn’t get a V3 car I can’t be positive but I’m reasonably sure the ESC button is the only difference.
I bent both of my shock towers really easy. They are either using extremely cheap quality metal or somebody messed up on the heat treating process. I was going full speed turned slightly not even a lot and hit the brake and it did a cartwheel. I noticed my front tire was dangling to the side. When I took the body off I seen the front shock Tower was bent like the letter s. And the rear shock Tower was bent slightly.
Ryan Crawford thanks for the input. I haven’t bent any yet. I was thinking about ordering a front and rear and trying to build a set with a better alloy using those as a template. When you get those let us know what you think if you have time. Have a great day.
@@RCModSquad that's one thing I wish I could have done beforehand. Take them all off and make a template. I literally drove it one time and did not hit anything and they bent. They're pretty cheap I think like $4 but the carbon fiber ones with shipping was $33
Void X RC I’m sure you’re gonna like it. :-)👍🏻👍🏻 I am thinking about buying another one to tinker with. LOL Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic day.👍🏻👍🏻
goodlord5 there is supposed to be a third version out now so I just ordered a third car. I guess we will see soon. Thanks for watching and have a fabulous day.
Mine has nothing but problems with the radio. It loses the connection at around 50 feet. New batteries and a fully charged RC battery. The Velcro strap is not long enough for a longer battery. I used the A959 nuts on mine because the ones that came with mine fell off and I lost two of them.
Nick Poverman that’s terrible range on the radio. Have you tried to move the antenna around a bit? It would need a longer strap for a bigger battery for sure. I’m looking at a few things to help with the wheel nuts. I just have very long hours at work so I’m really slow at stuff like that. Thanks for watching and let me know if moving the antenna on the car helps. 🔧👍🏻
Don't feel bad, I had NOTHING but problems with mine. Shock towers bent, wheels came flying off, servo glitching, battery strap, camber, other loose as heck screws and many other issues. The steering servo busted a piece of tooth on the inside gears and I made the decision NOT to put any more $ into the 144001, I had all intentions of doing so, but, things kept happening too fast to the car before I could even order more upgrade parts! Oh yeah and the plastic knuckles were very brittle and broke the first week, I didn't even push it that hard. So long story cut short, I bit the bullet and invested in a RedCat Tornado EPX pro. Now THERE'S a buggy that you can do things with, for $200+ bucks, it's a fantastic deal, super fast, aggressive, brushless etc. My time with the lower quality, lower end WL Toys RC's and such is over!! 👍
Bang UrHead I certainly can’t fault you for that. I have other cars besides the WLtoys. I have Traxxas and Rovan but just for this channel I stick with more of an entry level stuff. There are a lot of people that haven’t ever had an RC at all and are looking for an entry point to see if they like it. You bring to a good point though, I may look at least a level up in cars in the future. I’ve covered several of what in think might be entry level cars. So there maybe a step up in cars in the future. Thanks for your input, it’s really appreciated.
