  • I made a puzzle using my Cricut Explore Air 2, a cereal box, and some sticker paper. This one is of Taipei 101.
    Cut settings I used: 2 passes with fine tip blade at max pressure.
    If you would like to purchase the digital file I used with the Cricut, you can find it here!

      Of course! If I were to do it again, I would definitely make sure I used a deep cut blade instead of the fine tip, and also make sure that there aren't any very acute angles to cut, so that the photo doesn't lift up as easily. Good luck!

    This is so cool! Have you ever tried heavier cardboard, chipboard, wood, etc.? And have you ever tried making a bigger puzzle by doing four sections this size? Obviously all four sides couldn't be straight and lining up the photo to overlap on the jagged sides just right might be tricky, but I imagine it could be done. And this sticker paper looks larger than standard letter size or does it just look that way with your beautiful close-ups? Thank you.

    • @CitySideGig
      @CitySideGig  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching the video! I'm glad you liked it! I actually ordered some chipboard that was 8.5 x 11 but haven't gotten around to trying it out...too many projects to do! I think it would take many many passes and am worried that the sticker paper would get damaged in the process. I don't see why it would be an issue extending the puzzle over multiple cuts to do a large format, that's a good idea. The sticker paper I used was a standard 8.5 x 11 in size.

      @@CitySideGig Thanks so much for your prompt and thorough response. Reply with a way to send you some money, like PayPal or Zelle, and I'll donate a little. I've seen other videos where the chipboard did exactly what you feared, but I was curious if anyone else had had success. I really want to try a multi-section one that's bigger than this, but haven't made time yet. Thanks again.

      Hi! I absolutely detest the sound of my voice recorded, so don't think there'll ever be a time where I do a voice over. This was so long ago I forgot what settings I used. I believe when I made this, it was with a fine tip blade with 2-3 passes at the highest pressure setting that my Explore Air 2 could go. The sticky stuff I used was a 8.5" x 11" sheet of label paper that you can find on Amazon.
