People just don’t get it. If you want an Xbox one x get a pc instead because you can get a controller separately and plug it in and play the same exact games. But you can’t do that with PS4 so you will have to get the PS4. So my point is it should be either PC or PS4, Xbox just doesn’t have a place anymore.

I have been a playstation player for so many years but I have bought an xbox one s recently and I was astonished how amazing it is, the only thing it lacks are enough exclusives compared to playstation 4.

If you don't have the budget then I would say PS4 slim because If you don't have a 4K TV/ Monitor then PS4 pro is not worth it. Spiderrman, Gow, Uncharted, Horizon these are really good games and can't be missed. But if you want to play Next Gen games then Xbox series s is a good deal. Series s is the same price as the ps4 slim.

Why not buy both. They're both cheap. I have a xbox one x scorpio and a star wars edition ps4 pro. Just get both. Both great consoles. Ps4 has exclusives coming out and xbox has great graphics.

Actually you see a huge difference on Xbox one x without 4K enabled. It’s a 4K image that’s then fitted into 1080 so it’ll look better than standard 1080 game
I own a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One X and before that I owned both regular consoles.
PS4 Pro UI is much slower than the Xbox One X UI. As for not being able to find things, are people completely stupid? The games are in the games library lol. And you can set up pins for a huge number of games that is literally one click away from the home screen. This is vastly superior to the folders on PS4/Pro.
The shop is also much faster and more intuitive.
I get it that people may have prefered the PS4 base console UI experience over that of the base Xbox One UI. But it is not the same anymore and to claim that the UI is laggy on the Xbox One X just screams lazy journos who haven't really bothered to check it out and are going off and presuming it will be the same as the base experience.
Xbox One X is the superior console for most third party games with typically higher resolution in games, often superior textures etc. There are also quite a few games that have HDR implementation on the X over and above that of the Pro.
The Pro as with the regular PS4 has a big advantage in exclusives.
EA Access is only on the xbox platformGamepass is a huge advantage for casual gamers and miles better than the awful streaming service that is PS Now.Backward compat is a huge deal to many and only on the xbox platform
The X is much quieter than the Pro, which at times sounds like an aircraft taking off.
PSVR is great and only Playstation has a VR option at this time, plus the Pro imporves performance in PSVR - considerably.
The Elite controller is miles better than the PS4 controller. In fact the regular xbox controller is also miles better. It's more precice and the batteries are not running out every couple of hours ehich is terrible the PS4/pro.
More free games via Xbox Gold than PSN - 4 games versus 2 every month due to backwards compat. Unless you have a Vita - which not many do. That said free Vita games are great and even things up if you have one like me.
More indivudal things going form the Xbox One X, but exclusives and PSVR evens things up.
Best to buy both - still way cheaper than a top PC and you've still enough money to buy a chrome book with the change.
I agree the ui isn't as bad as people say but I have to disagree on the the Ps4 Pro having a slower ui. It takes way less time switching between things.
I currently have a ps4 and the Xbox one elite. I want to upgrade one of them. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want. More of my friends have a ps4 but I love games like skyrim and the one x shines for me for games like that. Why wouldn't I get the more powerful system. I like the Xbox dashboard a bit better. However I have more games for the ps4. In the long run what's better? If you were only going g ro upgrade one system which would you prefer and why?

I would say xbox for now unless something bad happens. They have been very pro consumer since phil spencer has taken over everything. Xbox is alluding to the idea that they release more then one xbox at one time for next gen. Like more for more casual gamers for a lower price and more an elite console for higher price. Plus, they are definitely building relationships with new developer to get their games on xbox which showed easily at e3. Game pass is amazing and have tons of options for the consumers. Backward compatibility is getting better by the week, and they have a cross-play too and work well with other companies. Plus, with the 5 new studios something tells me their are going to be some amazing games coming out of them soon.
I dont understand the price argument, you say the xbox one x is too expensive but then say buy a gaming PC which is WAYYY more expensive than the X, you also say buy a ps4 because its cheaper but than say a reason to get it is because of PSVR which in turn makes it more expensive than the X. In my opinion you contradict yourselves and make the money argument irrelevant by saying those things. I have an xbox one x and have a 1080p TV and see a huge difference when playing most of the games that have been enhanced for it. Ive shown the X to several friends on different TV's and they see the difference as well. I think both consoles are great but both have their good and bad points.
It's because the xbox one x doesn't offer anything new compared to a pc since most if not all xbox one x exclusives are playable on the pc. Price-wise, you can build a decent pc for the same price as an xbox one x (depending on the country i guess?) As of the comparison the ps4, i don't think they said that getting the ps4 is purely because of the psvr. The psvr is an option but the main selling point of the ps4 is the fact that it's cheaper and it has a larger library of exclusives compared to the competition. I mean compare the already released exclusives and upcoming ones. Not just in quantity but also in quality. Compare the reviews.
Anyways regarding your arguments, just because you're building a pc, doesn't mean you have to spend more than what you'll spend on a xbox one x. It might not be 4k but yea it's still decent. Of course there's always the option to spend more but yea it's just an option. And lol, pubg will atleast work fine there.
You don't have to buy a psvr when buying a ps4. Just the library of games on the ps4 is plenty enough. Of course, if you want more experiences, there's the option of buying a psvr. Again, just an option. So yea i don't think they really contradicted themselves based on your two points.
In the video they clearly say "if you want high end performance then shouldn't you buy a pc". Again high end are the key words they used. Your saying decent, they never said decent, big difference money wise between high end and decent performance on pc. They are trying to compare a $500 console to pc that would cost around $1100 for the same or better performance than the X. So according to the argument they made, you would have to spend more money on a pc with "high end performance" than an X. Plus you DO get 4K(for the most part) on the X. Plus I never said you had to buy PSVR but they said one reason(another option that ps4 has over xbox is what they should have said) is PSVR but at that point it does make it more expensive than the X if, key word being "IF" you do get it. So again according to them xbox one X is expensive but if you want high end performance(not decent performanc) buy a pc. Which in turn makes it more expensive so they do contradict themselves. PS4 plus PSVR(which was brought up in the video) if both are purchased, IF being the key word again is more expensive than the X which in turn is another contradiction.
Plus look at the title of the video " XBOX ONE X vs PS4 PRO - Which Should You Buy?" by the title of the video they should only be comparing the consoles and not bring in PC. The title should have been "XBOX ONE X vs PS4 PRO VS HIGH END PERFORMANCE PC - Which Should You Buy? because they are the ones that brought up the HIGH END PERFORMANCE PC when comparing the consoles.

I have both. Even though all of my friends Play ps4, i really do like the Xbox over the ps. The Xbox's materials simply feels so much more premium in my opinion, and the overall design om the Xbox is much nicer.

The point in gaming for the main part is to be entertained. It's pathetic how the view has changed from how GOOD a game is to how pretty the graphics are. It takes any real pressure off developers to make an actual good and in-depth game and instead encourages to make a 7 hour movie with pretty graphics.

I love how they completely ignored the fact that I can play the majority of the best games from Xbox OG, Xbox 360 on an Xbox One X/S. Not only that but we get better framerates and we do not have to re-purchase the games unlike on the PS4 where you have to keep re-purchasing games each passing generation. For a lot of people that is a big deal who had Xbox 360 or Xbox OG as their main console in the past, all they have to do is pop in their old disks and the games will continue to work on the newer console. Also, you fail to mention supersampling at 1080p which means you get better graphics at 1080p displays on the Xbox One X. I guess you guys are quite ill informed technically to be sitting here and not giving the audience the full picture and giving away a biased conclusion to consumers.
Another thing missed out was ignoring things like Kodi being a UWP app on the Xbox One. This is a big deal for people who had Xbox Media Center as their main media box connected to a TV.
Also, why would someone prefer a console over a PC question is not properly answered other than, yeah, you can build a PC (as if everyone in the crowd is adept at building a PC by purchasing off the shelf parts and is familiar with things like power supply/graphics card issues, applying thermal paste properly, proper flow of air for air cooled systems, building water cooling etc. Console gaming is also a social experience and it is very easy to plug and play with your family or loved ones. PC gaming isn't as social and that is one reason a lot of people prefer to have consoles at home. You don't have to deal with driver updates, conflicts/bugs/errors, OS failure/upgrade issues etc.
Lastly, there is one thing people completely miss about why multiplayer is paid on consoles. It is great to actually get protection from potential sexual, gender harassment online with the ability to flag/ban members that break rules. That is not the case commonly on PC gaming which is full of online harassment. You also get 4 games free every month on games with gold and all 4 games run on your Xbox One console (2 are Xbox 360 games and 2 are Xbox One titles) thanks to backwards compatibility compared to two games on the PS Plus for a PS4.
At least do your research properly before making a video and giving away a half assed conclusion. Remember, people look up to you as being more informed than they are. If you give out bad advice or advice that doesn't give away all the pros and cons, this is nothing short of bad journalism. I know it has become a trend to hate on Xbox these days and you don't want a backlash for preferring it for some reason over the PS4, but it is better to stir a debate based on proper pros and cons than what you described here. James, I just want people making videos here to at least show the value they get by making a choice. I love the exclusives on the PS4 but I also like EA Access, Game Pass and a 4K UHD Blu Ray player. It's good value for people to try/own a lot of games without paying too much money. Xbox offers that and it is all because of the competition between Sony and Microsoft. You could look at the argument rationally. I don't think suddenly everyone who owns a PS4 has also managed to somehow afford an $1100+ gaming PC. Cheers!

I know you have a PS4 James, but people also like to play multiplatform games, and among consoles (I am not counting a PC), the best console version is still on the Xbox One X. Be rational, you seem to be trying too hard to get some sort of a reaction out of me. Xbox has plenty of games :) If you ask about the best value for money right now, it would be the base PS4, but if you want a powerful console to play the best versions of 3rd party games as well as Halo/Gears/Forza, have EA Access and Game Pass then Xbox One X. If you are into Sony exclusives and want to play them at 1440p all the way to 4k, then of course the PS4 pro.

What the heck was this video? The bulk of the video was spent criticizing the Xbox One X and you guys didnt spend nearly enough time considering the value proposition of the console vs the fact that console gaming is generally 30 fps.
The PS4 PRO had MANY shortcomings due to the fact that a regular PS4 is a WAY better deal since PS4 PRo is barely better than a regular Playstation. The PS4 pro has so many big missteps like lack of supersampling, lack of 4K support, BAD 4k support for what its promised...what a biased and one sided video.

I have both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and honestly in 2022 the Xbox One X now gets the more use thanks to Gamepass and 4K UHD Blu-Ray support, im in no rush to upgrade to next gen hardware as I also own a PC so I say if you dont have the money for the latest console system the Xbox One X is still a fantastic Console in 2022 because of Gamepass alone and in terms of raw power it does beat out the PS4 Pro.
Reason you should get a PS4 pro, Nintendo Switch and PC Gaming is because Xbox games exclusives will also be on pc, which is why you should get a gaming pc because higher graphics and better than both consoles (depending on specs and graphics card) but PS4 and Nintendo exclusives won’t be on PC but Xbox exclusives will because both softwares are owned by Microsoft. 👍

One thing I hate about pc games is because they rarely available as a hard copy. They are mostly available on steam on the like, which mean you can never own them and you require internet connection to play. Steam has offline mode but it is only short term.

I had Playstation 2,3 and now the 4 but in b between i also owned a Xbox 360 and i can never forget the experience i had on it. The only reason i bought the 4 was all the mistakes Microsoft made during launch. Gaming on xbox if way better people only bought Playstation for its exclusive titles. That's what i think, if it's wasn't for that, everyone will go with a xbox.

Trust Saylee I don’t care about the exclusives. It’s the 1 hour setup time when I first got the pro, it’s the slow loading screen times, it’s the black screen pop ups and many other issues with PS4. I went through 4 and had enough. When I got the Xbox X all it asked was for email, password and options to keep settings. I click yes and I was done and ready to go. Never had 1 single issue or problem with the X.

PSVR is absolutely horrible... I sold it after a couple months. I play 3 games on the PS4, all exclusive, and everything else on my X. Every game that is on both consoles, better than 90%, are far superior on X. I was so impressed with my X that I bought 3, one for each of my 65" HDR tv's. Sure it's more $ than the PS4, but it's far superior. An even bigger deal than the GPU is double the RAM available to games and Xbox1X has 2x, so the textures are far superior! Llnothing like playing on a 2k game stretched to 4k with crappy textures (ps4) vs true 4k and 2x the texture detail. Funny how 15 seconds in one can tell the where this was going.

Nick G ever think of them having these problem but you’re not and the dashboard is hard to find tbh. It took me a while to find controller settings for Xbox. Although I own an S but I also own a ps4 and ps4 is really simple and easy to find. Literally look left and right for games and apps and just tap up once for settings and friends and you’re there.

I love both my consoles, however, due to multi platforms looking and running far better on the X and Microsoft's far better online and costumer service. I have to go with the Xbox one X. I love PlayStation 4's exclusives but once that I beat a game, my PS4 Pro collects dust for few months until the next great exclusive.

Yeah bro but all the ps4 exclusives are phenomenal and all we get is some stinky crap like Crackdown 3 which might be fine but compared to the last of us 2, days gone, death stranding, ghost of.....that other game, god of war...xbox is just so much less worth it. And triple A games are getting worse, their publishers are ruining the games, forcing goals on them which ruin the game. Look at Anthem, or black ops 4. The security in not scummy activity mostly will come from first party games, because they sell consoles, so they do not need to have microtransactions as much as other publishers would force them to out in. Xbox only had like Gears 5 which I'm excited for but most people could care less about.
I've had to make deals with friends to borrow one's ps4 because he's a pc guy and a controller from another so that when those exclusives come out i can play them. I really regret having an Xbox a lot of the time. It's better in all the ways but the one that matters, and that's having games to play.

What a pointless video, before I get bullied, let me explain the bias from the start. 1. They start with the same joke that PS4 fans have been using all year. “Everyone is talking about them teraflops”. 2. Talking about pc when this is a PS4 vs Xbox discussion. “If you want power, get pc”. 3. The woman’s answer at the end. “PlayStation, because I have always had one, meaning had that opinion from the start to finish”. 4. When talking about the graphics on the Xbox. “Their really isn’t much difference in the upgrade” that reaction alone means they should probably go to the opticians. 5.talking about choosing the power mode of the game, all pc games play differently depending on the power of the machines, Xbox have just simplified that choice into categories. I don't think we're claiming to be completely unbiased - re Hollie's preference, I think a lot of people base their choice on what they grow up with / are used to / where their friends play online. I do get where you're coming from though, but I think we make solid arguments why the PS4 Pro does (just) come out on top (mainly price).
The Tech Chap you don’t think the cost of the Xbox One X is justified for the price. You getting great specs for the price you paid for. Especially if you have a good 4K HDR tv. The console also offers Dolby Atmos support (best sound available if you have Dolby Atmos) and freesync support for HDMI 2.1 TVs (next year TVs for smoother gameplay and no screen tearing). If you talk about price why don’t you include services like EA Access and Microsoft Game pass services. EA Access is £20 a year so you can download EA games and play them and Microsoft Game Pass is £7.99 a month to gain access 100+ games. Sony offers a rip off gaming streaming services in comparisons.
