I terms of the platform itself (especially system software, store, back combat and controller) I prefer the Xbox One (S) by far! But with the exception of the Forza Horizon Series and the amazing back combat library, the PlayStation 4 absolutely demolishes the Xbox with their first and second party titles. Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West as well as all the amazing titles from Housemarque are my favorites from the PS4. In the end it's a close one for me, because I love the Forza Horizon Series and have a huge "classics library" of 360 and OG Xbox games, which I regularly enjoy (but most of that is also available on PC and/or via emulation) but the 2 Horizon games are two of my all time favorites and especially Alienation from Housemarque is without equals from Xbox, so I think in the end I would chose a PS4, despite I prefer the Xbox in any other aspect except it's game library.
I played on some friend's PS4 but I'm in love with mi 5 year old Xbox One S, I think it is the best console ever (until I get an Xbox Series S). Great performance, great controllers, great games, great services, backwards compatibility, and a lot of stuff I fricking love about this console. Maybe I get an PS4 in the future when it gets cheaper for playing some exclusives, but rn I'm happy with my Xbox :3
I've played on every console but only on PS4 and PS5 I personally think Xbox is better because of the group posts and quick resume but I can understand if you say playstation is better because of their exclusives
Why tho the series consuls are just so much better don’t get me wrong the old consuls have amazing optimization. I promise you the upgrade in cpu alone is worth it loading in games faster not just that faster load times reduce time spent not playing significantl. Games start up faster load in faster more stable fps and have better performance overall.
I still play on Xbox one S and PS4 slim gonna keep playing them until they break then upgrade, they are great for giving you access to multiple generations of games

I ended up getting an og Xbox one as backwards. Compatibility is a huge seller for me. It blows my mind that I can put my GTA San Andreas disc from 2004 in the Xbox and I can play the game with zero issues.
Xbox one for fighting games and FPS games the controller was built for it but when it comes to single player games a good variety of quality of games PS4 is king god of war infamous uncharted and horizon forbidden West PS4 is where it's at however if you play sports games FPS RPG games then it's up to your preference I've owned both Sony and Xbox systems it's what matters to you results May vary and millage also.
Even as a PlayStation fanboy, I admit Xbox is way better for people on a budget. Xbox and Xbox 360 games can be found cheaply, and the sheer number of games that come with game pass makes it an absolute steal.
Just bought a brand-new Xbox One S but have had the PS4 Slim for years. Can't comment yet on the S but I do prefer the controller of the Xbox way better. Looks-wise, they're close but I lean more towards the PS4.
Decent overview of these consoles! I retired my original Xbox One in favour of a Series X a little over a year ago, and also run a PS4 slim with both hooked up to my Samsung 4K 60Hz HDR10/10+ TV in the living room. For sure the Series X looks better and has higher frame rates than the PS4 (plus some older games have gotten upgrades for Series X/S), but probably the biggest improvement that I appreciate with the Series X is the much faster hard drive. Of course, you could always go out and buy an external USB SSD drive which you could carry forward. I love both consoles, but like the exclusive games on PlayStation and have very much enjoyed my PS Plus Premium membership, especially for the price I got it for. I had to buy an annual pass to get the good price but it worked out to being $9.19 Canadian per month including tax. I look forward to getting a PS5 slim whenever they release. Where I live, the PS4 sells for more than the Xbox One. Quite often you can find a first gen Xbox One for $80 to $100 CDN. You'd be lucky to find any PS4 for less than $150.
Thanks! Yeah It’s crazy that the PS4 still is rather expensive. For the performance you get and how old it is, therefore I’d recommend it for a lower price. I see several of PS4’s for $150 in my country as well.
@@Odeboo $150 is usually the bottom out here, most are $200 or more! I wouldn't pay those sorts of prices myself but the PS4 is still getting new releases including a small number of AAA titles yet, so I guess that's good for anyone selling.
When it comes to last-gen buy the console that has the most games YOU enjoy. I sent most on last gen on PC, but I did buy the Xbox One and PS4 at launch back in 2013. Both the Xbox One and PS4 were a bit under spec at launch but the main difference is memory bandwith which comes down to that DDR 3 esRAM the Xbox One decided to launch with. The CPU between all of the last-gen consoles are mostly the same with the normal upgrades that you get with the same tier CPU of any Intel or AMD CPU, like you can buy and i7 with a max clock at 3.8 GHz or buy one clocked at 4.2 GHz for a higher price. It was the same CPU just more efficient with slightly higher clocks. I personally enjoy the Xbox One exclusives over the PS4. I enjoy the Halo, Gears, and Forza to Spider-man, Horizon, and Uncharted. Not that I don't like those games but if I had to choose a console around just exclusive games the PS4 exclusives aren't really my favorite type of games. The gameplay in Spider-man games gets old to me fast. I played all of the old Spider-man games and even the ones I enjoyed weren't really my "favorites". I already played Tomb Raider before I play Uncharted and I just feel like Tomb Raider does the same things better. When I try a new game I'm always going to compare it to the experience of the last game I played in that genre and if it doesn't do better or at least provide an equal level experience I'm out. The same way I prefer Forza to GT when it comes to racing games. If I want a Horizon type experience I can play Ark or Far Cry Primal or some other games with the same elements. I know Horizon and Far Cry Primal aren't really the same but they have the same feel to ME. Xbox One S and PS4 base model or Slim are going to give to pretty much the same experience playing on a modern HD or 4K display. Xbox One S does have 4k upscaling witch helps in the games that have lower base resolution on Xbox than PS4. So with a 4k HDR display the Xbox One S and the PS4 base or Slim model is going to provide a very similar experience in most games 3rd party games. Of Course exclusives or going to play better on either console. Before buying watch reviews and gameplay footage of the games you're interested in. Xbox One S isn't nearly as bad as reviewers tried to make it out to be.
If you are ONLY going to play 2-3 main games a used Series S IS THE WAY to go If you want to dip into several games a week, a PS4/PS4 Pro isn't a bad option BUT if you are wanting to get a couple consoles to play online with other people on a budget once again Xbox is the way to go

Xbox if you can get one cheap because of game pass. Exclusives dont matter that much when the majority of the time most users are gonna be playing third party. Cheaper to just play third party games on game pass. Plus you got backwards compatibility with some 360 and xbox og games which are dirt cheap at retro shops.
Then why would you want to play those third party games at a shitter resolution? Only a handful of xb1 games do 1080p, as opposed to most of the ps4 library. Absolutely awful take.

If someone want to buy both console to play every single game of the generation, I think the best thibk to do is buying a Ps4 Fat/Slim and a Xbox One X. Why, because even if the PS4 PRO is a good upgrade to the basic PS4, the Fat (who's not really fat, it have a nice design) and slim still deliver for 1080P gaming, specially for the Sony exclusivity. The "only" real reason to buy a PS4 PRO is for the PS VR, who run way smoother, and because the VR2 don't support VR1 game (Who's the worst idea ever made for VR2), it's still the cheapest way to play it with good performance. And also like I say in the last video, Xbox One became really good when the One X was release, becoming the go to console for the multisupport games, who run smoother on One X than on PS4 PRO. So, PS4 fat/slim + Xbox One X are for me the best combo you can get.

I would not recommend PS4 fat because I have one. The fan noise is super loud making it too annoying to play. It was loud to begin with since i got it brand new. Get PS4 slim or Xbox One s for budget gaming
The ps4 pro is 100x better than the base model, if for nothing else but the resolution upgrade. Sounds like a jet engine though. One x is a good middle of the road option, and shits all over the pathetic series s in almost every category.
PS4 pro can be loud. But I just put on headsets while I play. Final fantasy 7 remake looks amazing in 4k. And I played mw2 2022 on Xbox one x. Looks and runs amazing too. I heard about putting new thermal paste on the PS4 pro can help keep the console cooler. So the fans don't run as hard and loud. But I don't know how to do that stuff

Yes seeing the vid i can say a full hearted yes, the consoles are fairly cheap at this point and the disc version of the games are dirt cheap. I have all generation of xbox’s and i love them, i am 90% a pc player and i still bought the series x console (mainly for retro reasons). If you need to have a very cheap gaming expierence buy a ps4 or xbox one. If you are thinking of spending some more go for a good pc. Gamepass is available for pc aswell so you wont miss out on that. And uuuh about the support for the ps4, sony dropped the ps4 of a cliff. They are not supporting it software wise anymore. Maybe 3e party does but not sony.
Don’t get PlayStation they have worse exclusives and also not backwards compatible. Better yet get a pc trust me I own both consoles Xbox was way better but they both suck and have dust on it.

It won't be any noticeable differences. The One S could perform better in some scenarios because it has better cooling and I believe it also runs quieter.
That’s right, some games that have been updated with the feature. And I believe the OS also can be displayed at upscaled 4K. However, the difference isn’t as noticeable as you might think (at least in my case) as it’s upscaled and not native 4K. The text got sharper on our 4K TV, nothing else. And on my 1440p monitor, I couldn’t tell a difference with upscaled 4K. Also worth mentioning is that the One S have support for 4K video streaming as well as HDR. From the screens I’ve tested the One S on, HDR is a much more noticeable improvement than upscaled 4K.

I am playing on PS4 slim with jailbreak, and it's an amazing console , I don't have 4k tv so it's pretty awesome to play free 1080p games

I was wondering that aswell! They are way cheaper then the current gen consoles, but they are deffo not below 100 euro. And if we talk about the one x and pro you often go above 200 euro. These prices are really cute but they are dead wrong!

Yes seeing the vid i can say a full hearted yes, the consoles are fairly cheap at this point and the disc version of the games are dirt cheap. I have all generation of xbox’s and i love them, i am 90% a pc player and i still bought the series x console (mainly for retro reasons). If you need to have a very cheap gaming expierence buy a ps4 or xbox one. If you are thinking of spending some more go for a good pc. Gamepass is available for pc aswell so you wont miss out on that. And uuuh about the support for the ps4, sony dropped the ps4 of a cliff. They are not supporting it software wise anymore. Maybe 3e party does but not sony.
Don’t get PlayStation they have worse exclusives and also not backwards compatible. Better yet get a pc trust me I own both consoles Xbox was way better but they both suck and have dust on it.

It won't be any noticeable differences. The One S could perform better in some scenarios because it has better cooling and I believe it also runs quieter.

That’s right, some games that have been updated with the feature. And I believe the OS also can be displayed at upscaled 4K.
However, the difference isn’t as noticeable as you might think (at least in my case) as it’s upscaled and not native 4K. The text got sharper on our 4K TV, nothing else. And on my 1440p monitor, I couldn’t tell a difference with upscaled 4K.
Also worth mentioning is that the One S have support for 4K video streaming as well as HDR. From the screens I’ve tested the One S on, HDR is a much more noticeable improvement than upscaled 4K.
