This is the first encounter with "Cid" in FF - which is why Cid's so minor. A Cid was retroactively added to versions of FF1 so there's a Cid in every FF.
Growing up, I played the remix of Final Fantasy one and two on the game, boy advance, and it was at a weird point in time where they weren’t making any video game. Manuals and Internet was not standard in households. I had to painfully figure out both games through trial and error, so I’m really glad a channel like this exists now.
*Yoinks and adds you to my collection of amazing challenge runners* This was a blast to watch and I'm so happy to see these games get challenge runs. Your voice is soothing and you are quite enjoyable to watch!
Hi there :) Its certainly being looked into, some of them its hard to do something that hasn't already been done, like 7/8/10 for example. Im always looking for more rules to put in place, there's a channel on my discord for some ideas if you are interested :)
Actually unless it was changed in the Pixel remaster drain attacks drain 1/16 max HP per attack. That's why it is better to have only one or two front liners so they can build their evade% and max evades. Evade is an overloaded stat in this game.
If you want a good challenge, play the Original or Playstation 1 version of FF2 casually. Seriously, the original is a tough game. Unlike the later versions, most stat increases will be followed by another stat decreasing.
My favorite thing to do when I start a new game in FF2 is to farm the Captains in Fynn. Get Minwu and have him spam Life while your main 3 spam elemental magic. It's a slow farm at first but it starts to speed up over time and you can get some ridiculous gear drops rather frequently and a lot of Gil much earlier than intended.
Not sure if you knew this, but high level punches deal more damage than any other attack in the game. A white magic only run wouldn’t be much more interesting, as the Teleport spell one shots 99% of the game’s enemies with near-perfect accuracy at higher levels. For the handful of enemies that are immune, Holy is also available. Again, shame the Pixel Remaster doesn’t have the extra content added in Dawn of Souls, this time an entire extra mini-campaign called Soul of Rebirth. Also, Mythril armor also becomes available at the same time as weapons.
I really didn't think much of the bonus content in the GBA games, but I loved the idea behind Soul of Rebirth, and it's the one thing I wish were preserved by the PR versions. They could've easily rebalanced it so you didn't have to grind Minwu and Josef to endgame levels.
i was wondering why no holy magic i belive the run you were tying was no offenive magic witch allows the haste and berserk magic but no holy or telaport in battle
Hmm can you 100 percent this game using unarmed? fuck yes you can, by the end if you get your hands to 16 your basically an honorary member of the Aztec gods of fitness
Fist + protect is broken bro..hahaha Fist do more damage than having weapons actually and high level protect and cure your unkillable. This reminds me 18 years ago when my bestfriend do this on NES. and explain me how broken it is.
Bro you LOST the challenge you use berserk and haste tome those are black magic. Use protect always so it's high level then During boss use it individually each character The spam it to all..maria white magic damage Holy or Ultima..early teleport to have high wis Guy pure support Wmage..and furion the d Monk and this challenge is easy even in NES. Fist+protect is broken already if you add Blink totally op.

The bosses in FFII have insanely low MP pools. An Osmose VI will drain all bosses immediately, and is the biggest cheese move…
I accidentally did the Tropical Island wayyy early on my first completed run… made a huge chunk of the game a breeze as a result.

He didn't level his skill very high was the problem. At a certain point you have to just beat the shit outta yourself if you wanna approach max.
Yup, this is what I did post game to get fist to 16, took about 2.5 hours from where I was currently at.
i was wondering why no holy magic i belive the run you were tying was no offenive magic witch allows the haste and berserk magic but no holy or telaport in battle
You were only 30 seconds in. Why would anyone be that impatient as to wonder when you'd jump into the gameplay?
RUclips analytics show me these things
You'd be surprised how many people click away from videos in the first 15 seconds.
@@plattbagarn So true, only 76% (as of this post) are still watching after 30 seconds
They can’t steal your hp if you simply don’t have any.

Was this original ff2, or was this a remake?
Pixel remastered
Didnt seem like much of a challenge, enjoyed the video tho.
the correct english pronunciation is "buh-hee-myth" with emphasis on the "hee"
