100% agreed. This guy is a relatable genius, which is rare. To have all that knowledge on the spot, let alone make up the amazing raps on the fly? One of my favorite new comedians. Us "dumb Americans" could really benefit from seeing what a smart guy can do on RUclips instead of just making another damn unboxing video, buying junk from the internet, or showing yourself getting hurt jumping into fan blades. I love this guy!

@Jamel Gianangelo (A rapper here who's been at it for 10 years, so consider this as ethos). This could very much be a freestyle! His rhyme schemes weren't structured in the consistent manner of writtens. Some lines went on longer than others in order to almost awkwardly land on the rhyme in the beginning of the enjambment. His flow is slow enough for him to have time to think of rhymes. Also, keep in mind that he had time to think of some short concepts and rhymes as he asked for suggestions and repeated them. Lastly, the rhymes are very simple, mostly monosyllabic. "sphere", "near", "down", "town", "go", "no", "house", "spouse" etc. Also, notice that he didn't rhyme "forest" with anything.
The only line that could make you skeptical on the authenticity of this freestyle is how we brilliantly connected flannel with moonlanding. However, keep in mind that these were the first two suggestions, so he had the longest time to prepare some lines for those two topics as he went on asking for more suggestions. Furthermore, the "crater" line might have been inspired by the big sign behind which reads "Krater". So this is very likely to be off the top! He did an amazing job, but I doubt that he is that incredible of a lyricist. Most freestyle rappers rely more on their freestyle skills than writing skills.

@@roems6396 This guy is 100% legit. I've seen him live at an educational conference (not in a bar/club) where he demonstrated the same thing to us using the random audience. James is just jealous that he is more talented than all his favorite rappers haha

The best part about these videos (after the freestyles themselves, obviously) is how you're getting more attention and "regulars" online, but you get to perform in front of seemingly new people in person. We get to see the crowd be so unconvinced at first and then blown away each time.

I love it! People get more impressed with slower bpm as they can process it better. Chris' cognition is on a four wheeler when we laymen trying to catch the thoughts on a vespa
Strangely, slower bpms are harder for me as it gives me wayyyyy more thinking time, so I second guess and overprocess the stuff. When it’s at 120+ (which I rarely do live, mainly on twitch) I find my mouth flows at the speed of my thoughts

As an example, take the world chess champion, Magnus Carlsen, he can play chess with 6 strong players simultaneously, with his back to their chess boards, and he will go down the line and make a move on each chess board without even seeing the board, and he can hold all current positions on every one of those 6 boards in his mind and play every game to the end and beat all 6 players, without seeing any of the boards. He has an extremely high IQ, and without his good memory and recall he wouldn't be able to achieve that. Which is why he's world chess champion, because he can memorise every scenario in a game of chess.
