When you mentioned self tanning before your trip, I remembered an older video of yours when your self tanning went seriously awry and you looked the tiniest bit like an Oompa Loompa. I just loved that you were willing to share the video anyway and have a laugh at yourself. I love this look; I definitely want to try that eye shadow stick. ❤
Semi permanent brows is by far one of the best decisions I ever made. My hair is sparse thanks to the over plucking in the 90’s. Unlike my sister a lot of mine never grew back. For anyone considering it it’s like anything else with everything you need to check reputation, qualifications, examples of work. Don’t be guided by price! You wouldn’t pick the cheapest bottle of wine!! If I go on a big night out I do sometimes add more colour to them but otherwise they are good to go everyday. Saved me loads of time and faffing.
Hi Gemma, just wanted to introduce myself. I am a newer viewer from NJ, USA. Your videos are great. Have a great holiday! Cant wait for the next video!
Heading to the beach next week, I don’t take very much at all. I really consolidate my skin care + makeup in small containers. Makeup is only a primer ( smaller travel sizes ) tinted moisturizer, mascara, a lip gloss / lipstick, blush ( that I can use x cheeks and lips) & setting powder. That’s bout it. I never have room in my suitcase. And will be very hot 🥵 to boot. 🏖️
So glad that you are giving the Kiko eyeshadow sticks a mention, they are so good and a fraction of the cost of similar high-end ones. I own several and love them all. Great look Gemma x
Physicians Formula Butter Glo powder Natural Glow is a compact that delivers a bronzy glow with a touch of rosiness. You can use on your face/eyes for a quick glow up, emphasize your facial features and add a little life if your skin is looking a little pallid. I used recently on a vacation -easy, breezy, and inexpensive
On holiday I use the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, Nyx Microbrow, Natasha Denona Starlette Palette, Lisa Eldridge Mascara, Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace in Epanoui or Dior Addict Shine in Atelier, Clinique Pop blush in Peach Pop, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer in Medium. Pat McGrath Under Eye powder and Nyx Setting Spray in the 60ml mini travel size.
Stunning video! I appreciate the idea of only doing the 'make up thing' in the evening when you go out, and going all natural during the day. I cant wait to see the 'after' of your microblading experience 😊
Gemma, may I ask a sun protection-related question? I am pedantic with SPF, I use SPF 50. Unfortunately I started a little late in life, so I do have some pigmentation issues. I really like to give foundation a break when I'm on vacay, but I always wonder if just having that extra product on my face (my foundation) doesn't provide one teeny weeny extra bit of protection. I know it wouldn't be much ... but doesn't the foundation, in addition to my SPF 50 just protect my skin a teeny weeny bit more? Or is it totally psychological 😂 Hmmm, probably that 😅
I loved microblading, had it done nearly 10 years ago and now in the process of getting them removed due to blurring/age. I am looking forward to getting them redone with newer technologies
I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Hopefully you're there now and safe from all the craziness going on in the UK right now. If not, hope and pray you and your family are safe and sound. ❤
I love the Kiko Milano eyeshadow sticks! I think they are the best affordable dupes for the Laura Mercier ones. I wear 05 daily all over the lid and smudge with a fluffy eye brush - it gives a multidimensional look with no effort. And, you are correct, they last and last on my oily lids. I hope they don't stop making them (they seem to discontinue items a lot).
I chickened out getting my eye brows micro bladed. I put so much thought into it because I just figured it would really cut down my brow time. But couldn’t get past what if it’s not exactly how I like them . Good luck I hope they come out perfect 😍
A lovely look. I tend to use concealer, Mac powder foundation ( used lightly), bronzer, eyebrow tinted gel, mascara, sometimes eyeliner, lip gloss. That's it. But the skin tint and eyeshadow sticks look good. X
For my holiday makeup It depends on what type of holiday, but for a sunshine holiday I take very minimal makeup. Whilst I always use SPF 50 I still tan really well so always feel my skin looks great when it’s got a nice colour. Like you I don’t wear makeup during the day if heading to the pool or beach. If going out and about I may use a tinted SPF. At night I just use tinted moisturiser, a nice sun kissed bronzer, brows, mascara, and usually just a lipgloss in a bright summery shade. If I want to push the boat out I will add some eyeliner, but leave all my eyeshadows at home. 😎🌞👙🍹
Lovely look! ❤ Thank you for recommending the powder. Mine arrived today, and it does what it says. I took selfies of us and then went to settings to see if I had accidentally put on a filter. Nope! It does come in 3 different shades so I wondered if you'd consider shade 2 for your holiday? I lived in Marbella for a while in my 20s and as soon as I arrived there were all these glamorous women. I felt so bad. Immediately went to a beauty place for hair/makeup, nails. Bought a silk/chiffon dress, went back out, and it was siesta time! It's so important to feel good even when going nowhere. Have a lovely time on holiday 😊 💐🌸
Hi Gemma, random question between the LED Mask and Ziip Halo, which one would you say is the best one to start with? It’s taken me a while to get onboard with devices, but now I am, however I’m only going to start with one (plus for financial reasons too) so would love your advice on which one. I don’t have any particular skin problems I’m looking to tackle. Just General anti-ageing benefits. Xxx
Ove had my brows microbladed twice, 1st time was great, then covid hit so had to wait. Went again 18months ago and they faded dramatically, went back and the only thing we could pinpoint was that I was perimenopausal so went with a darker shade than would have and they have lasted well. So just bare this in mind x
Hi Gemma, what a Pretty Vacation Look. You look so pretty, fresh and well pitched together with such minimal makeup. I can see why these products work for Vacation/ Beach days. I’ve pretty much quit wearing eyeshadows n these triple digit heat advisory days. I pulled out my IT glow Cc cream and it looked lovely using just a tiny amnt to just even out my skin tone. I have to apply powder in my brows to absorb skincare and spf, and even with that, sometimes my brow product get a bit ? Heavy and or waxy built up. I for sure need to try those eyeshadow sticks as I’ve not been wearing any eyeshadows during these extremely Hot, Humid Days. But I do use a bit of my bronzer( my holy grail is Gurelain which you highly recommended a yr plus ago. I also really love Sephora brand Cool Bronzer and No.7 Bronzer. It is so pretty and gives a natural tanned look on my very fair skin. Thank you for showing us the products you use for Vacation Days. I pray and hope you and family enjoyed and had a great time on vacation. 😊
I tried powder brows and it has been such a big regret. I have Lupus so the pigment didn't take and now I'm left with gray brows and don't know how to color correct them to make them look natural. I have heard microblading fades really nicely, but I wasn't a candidate because of my oily skin. I'm sure they will be great!!
Hey, love this & going to give it a go. Just a (wee) question did you apply sunscreen before the primer? Just thinking for everyday wear if the sunscreen would work with all the products. Appreciate you & all your content.🙌🏻
Just wondering if you or any other subscribers know of a silky matte textured skin tint or tinted moisturiser?? I have very textured skin and natural matte just looks so much better than shiny on me!!! Thanks xxx

Lovely look Gemma & I was very interested to see you using the Sculpted by Aimee tint as I have been eyeing that up myself but not sure what shade to purchase & I’m normally your shade twin! I did however buy her peony make up palette which has bronzer, highlight, blush, powder & eyeshadows as thought will be great to take on my holiday ☺️. Love the eyeshadow stick on you but I can never get any brand to last on my eyes, they always crease & disappear 🤷🏼♀️. Have a great holiday 🏖️🍹

Wow that's alot of products on your face for holiday: fake tan + blurring primer + skin tint + concealer. I think you looked beautiful with just the primer.
Do you find that setting spray to be drawing to your skin? I have it and tried it once and I found the next day. My skin was extra dry. Now that could be due to some other new product that I tried and I haven’t tried either yet, but was just questioning the setting spray because I have rosacea that can be triggered when skin is dehydrated
