This helps so much! Now I finally have a visual of all the colors I have heard you talk about for a long time right next to each other. Now I really get an idea of their undertones and where they sit in the beige category. Thank you for sharing your stockpile of Sampilize with us! Lol

What color cabinets should I do with SW Eider White Walls in a south facing room?

@kylieminteriors Kylie, can you tell me about SW Ivory Lace? I don't think I've seen you mention it and very few people seem to talk about it, but it draws me eye so much- looks like a gorgeous creamy deeper off white right in that LRV range I'm looking for- right now, my top three are SW Ivory, BM Soft Chamois, and BM Ballet White at 75% strength. I've heard you give love to Ballet White, but what are your thoughts on these other two contenders- I know they're different with soft chamois going a tad green and ballet white seeming more true beige to me. I want a definitely creamy look and they would be in mainly south, south-east facing rooms with one northwest-facing room.

Hey Brynna, I'd be happy to! Ivory Lace is a tricky one as it has a pretty high LRV, but isn't white. Sitting at 79, it's close to the white world, but is more of an off-white. However, the popular off-whites sit in the lower to mid 70s, making them popular on walls as they show a reasonable but not shocking contrast wtih the average white trim. I do liike that it has creamy bones, but a bit of beige for balance, so that it's not overly yellow. Like, if you compare it to SW Dover White and SW Creamy, you can see that bit more orange/beige in Ivory Lace, which is nice. But in comparing them, you might like that bit more commitment to cream in those two (you might also like BM White Down). Now compared to Ballet White it definitely looks creamier, but this is mostly because of its higher LRV, as Ballet White CAN look creamy in some situations - it just looks more beige 'compared' to Ivory Lace.

Hi Kylie! Could you review Drift of Mist? Also, how does darkening by 25% change the lrv? Like 25% = 5 lrv? Thanks!

I found a blog post that said it’s about 3-5 points, depending on the depth of the color.
