I am thrilled to announce that I am currently working with Guitar Pro and their new app called “Play Guitar Hits”. There are 5 songs that will be coming up in the app. 4 of which are already on my RUclips channel and 1 which is a remake of an older video which has been requested several times. Tragically he was killed in an unnecessary plane crash at only 26. Brutal waste of an amazing young man.

KILLER harmonics man omg ur insane. Knowing how to play guitar has been such a drug for me and im only getting started. Doing scales pretty fast now working on being consistent with climbing and descending strings.
This was basically my shit at ages 6 through 11 until I found more artists, hearing this again brings back fond memories of hearing this on my way to school with my dad

Yes! 00:31 every tab I have seen has this as 5,6,7 on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings. It sounds wrong because it is A major in the open position as you play it! I wonder if people who post tabs online just mostly cut and paste someone else's!! P.s. love the invisible whammy bar at 1:08!😁
The 5,6,7 was in some Hal Leonard publications. I agree it sounds wrong(except at the end of the verse). Pretty sure that’s why that fingering is everywhere.
Nice cover! you also want to make sure you use your pinky on the first string for the E and D chords of the main riff. If you listen to the recording you can hear the high E string being used.

Thankyou -I found 20 yrs ago --by extending my picking index finger 2 inches above the pick --then plucking SIMULTANEOUSLY on string with index finger tip--- AND plectrum --I get a reasonable SQUEAL /pinch harmonic --bit clumsy &slow --out of time --but nevertheless less --its a hi pitched squeal on most frets ----however I will keep practising what U tube experts are showing me --very tricky --but its practise that is required here --natural harmonics are easy --but that pinched monster requires hard work !

Suggestion: as a left-handed guitar player this video is super easy for me to follow because it is like looking in a mirror. When I was teaching guitar students they always told me that they could follow me better than a right-handed teacher. You can easy flip the video the other direction (not the tab) so that right-handed guitar players can follow better.

P.M. means palm mute. You use the side of your right hand palm place partial onto the strings and partial onto the bridge of your guitar muting the strings ever so slightly to give it more of a chunky chugga sound, which is the best way I can describe it. I'm sure there are videos kicking around on RUclips that will show how to properly palm mute.

How do you augment the D harmonic (7th fret, G-string) during the pre-chorus at 2:06 ? I have the exact same guitar and it looks like you're pressing on the switch somehow. Are you toggling it up and down? I've been trying to hit the harmonic and then bend it with the part of the string between the capstan and the nut, but it's too difficult to hit at speed right now. Thanks for posting this, it's really helping me!
The part right after he sings “make their own rules”. At the end of the riff I don’t hear an a chord, I hear the g string part of the A chord with the B and E strings on the fifth fret. I haven’t ever seen it tabbed that way though. Anyone else hear it this way? I could be wrong but it definitely doesn’t sound like the typical A chord with strings D G B on the second fret.
