I’m buying a custom-made plush toy for kids at alibaba and I’m not sure how to proceed to import them and meet certification to sell them in my square stored what would you advice?
Hello! This is again a great video. Thank you so much! But as soon as I know we don't need to have a company to sell on Amazon. So how will the certification companies document a certificate? I mean are they going to document it to my name? And there is not much information about what non-US citizens need to import into US. I mean SSN number, RSI number etc. What do we need? And also it would be great if you make a video about what ASIN, FNSKU, UPC codes etc. are. Because they are really confusing. Thank you for your big help.
Hi, Altan. You don't need to be a US citizen to be an Amazon seller on US Amazon. Once you are Amazon seller and created your product, then there's ASIN FNSKU code. For UPC code, you can search on google and purchase. For the certification, you a lot of certification companies allow certifications under personal name. Just make sure the certification include your ASIN code. Let your Chinese supplier handle it.

I think it's fine for not having a US address or phone number to apply CPC. For more details, you can inquire any certification agent or testing lab in China who can help you get the certification.

Hi, Eric.Thank you for the advise, and it will be very interesting topic that I think only Alibaba suppliers know better than anyone. I mean you can't find out lots practical English information on internet related to the Alibaba Trade Assurance. But on Chinese websites, lots Alibaba suppliers they complain about using Trade Assurance for making deals, and majority of them don't use it. But they need the Trade Assurance icon for the better ranking in suppliers list. So Alibaba suppliers with Trade Assurance icon usually don't accept Trade assurance, and Gold Suppliers usually doesn't mean you can 100% trust them. I will interview several Alibaba suppliers here in China for the trade insurance issue, then figure out either making a video or writing a blog post. Once it finished, I will reply you the link here.

Dropshipping sellers don't need certifications, because your end customer didn't need to import the product via a regular custom process. Only when you import products in quantity, you need to provide related certifications for custom clearance. Custom didn't care about dropshipping products, because epackage companies will handle the import custom process, and use the local postal service to finish the last part of delivery.
yes, that's exactly you gonna do. You always need to check out what certifications does Amazon need, if suppliers has it, is it huge cost to have your own, then you decide whether continue going with this product or change a new one. Because sometimes the investment for certifications is huge.
