Is the math wrong? If seller charges 5$ and profit is 1$, profit is 20% and the cost to make the item is 80% or 4$. When he sells 1000 items for 5000$, and he has to refund that 5000$, so basically nothing happened except the seller made 4000$ worth of products that is difficult to sell, NOT 5000$ because that 1000$ is profit. Therefore in order to recover that 4000$ material cost, he will have to multiply it by 5 to 20000$, that means the seller has to sell 20000$ worth of items to get back that $4000. Your math is saying that he has to sell 25000$ worth of items to get back the material cost AND an additional $1000 profit

It only protects the seller. The dispute team will never listen to the buyer's side even though you have provided all the evidences such as poor quality items, worst paints, defective items, broken items, missing parts, etc that they required. Let this be a warning before dealing with Alibaba.
I completely agree with you, the trade assurance sounds pretty good when you place an order, but when things come up, trade assurance actually mean nothing. The way Alibaba did business is a problem when come to dispute. Thats one of the reasons why China government is investigating Alibaba right now as well as the associate platform, because they think they can do anything they want.
Thanks for all the info. I made an order to one of the suppliers, and my money went through on Jan 7. It is now Feb 10, and my order has not been shipped yet. So the supplier modified our contract and changed the guaranteed shipment at a limit of12 days upon them receiving my money, to 25 days. I agreed to it, but even after the modification... I could still apply for a refund. I was thinking about it, but it took a long time to create these products with them. This is my first order...I'm hoping every order with them won't be like this 👀

i bought 2 scooters from Yume, through Alibaba and of course one of them arrived damaged and on the contract, i asked for turning lights as in the UK you need them to be able to register it. They arrived without turning lights, and very late , Alibaba through trade assurance ensures your money, they never accepted my expenses to get professional help and install the turning lights. i tried to send it back because i had the right to do this and trade assurance is supposed to give you the possibility to do this, but Yume refused to give me the address and Jenny from Yume said that China is not allowed to import second -hand goods. This was Yume's response to me refusing the scooters and wanting to send it back. So, guys be careful with Chinese market. It is a big family scam.

I got ripped off use the trade assured order. I order two scooters an the scooters were suppose to be 72 v 6400 watt they sent 36 v 500 watt unit they said I would receive my product in 5 days it took over a month ...I refused the order when they told me they shipped 36volt units ...i didn't order 36volt units so I would not take dilvery of units. Now Alibaba will not refund me ...there ripping me off

T/T, also known as wire transfer, bank transfer, it the way to send money. When you choose to use trade assurance to place order, Alibaba will give you a bank account (it's supplier's name, but the account is controlled by Alibaba), Instead of sending money to a bank account that is given by supplier. Only when you send money to the bank account given by Alibaba, you are protected by the Trade Assurance.
Alibaba trade assurance is faulty - they make sure they post adds on my screen, but they make it very difficult over a long period of time to find out delivery date, then just 15 days to dispute.

You are welcome Virgilius, Chinese suppliers won't be care about you are an individual buyer or a 'company' buyer, individual buyers may also bulk millions of dollars, only if you reach the minimum order quantity. If your "300 usd" includes many categories of products, you can search on Aliexpress. And if your products only include one category, you can search on Alibaba for your supplier and goods.

You're lucky that you had a chance to open dispute. Alibaba(Aliexpress) started to suspend accounts who is open dispute reason of delay and not received item in buyer protection time. I am one of these buyer. There is no chance to open any dispute or any refund. This is abusing pandemic and buyers...

She didnt even put it, it just says custom order ! Anything custom is very important to have all details in the description list! Just want to make sure it's right and I wont get scammed !

Hi, Cierra. If the seller create the order for you and just describe it "custom order", it means he try to escape his responsibility if there's any problem happening. Of course you can make adjustments to add more details, and require him to approve.

I want to pay using Paypal but I can't make a payment through Alibaba because there's no direct link for Paypal payment. The seller sent me an invoice through Paypal so does that mean I can not get trade assurance? Is there any way I can pay using Paypal and get trade assurance? You're lucky that you had a chance to open dispute. Alibaba(Aliexpress) started to suspend accounts who is open dispute reason of delay and not received item in buyer protection time. I am one of these buyer. There is no chance to open any dispute or any refund. This is abusing pandemic and buyers...

Love this video ! The seller made the order for me and I'll be paying over $1300 , so do I still need to make sure all the details about what we agreed on is in the contract? She didnt even put it, it just says custom order ! Anything custom is very important to have all details in the description list! Just want to make sure it's right and I wont get scammed !
Also for EXW I am the buyer so that would be the right selection right !? The shipping was also added so I will have to pay a deposit then the initial payment will be the balance
Hi, Cierra. If the seller create the order for you and just describe it "custom order", it means he try to escape his responsibility if there's any problem happening. Of course you can make adjustments to add more details, and require him to approve.

She is telling me they cant accept funds now in China from PayPal which I know isnt trust because I am buying a smart watch from Domiwear in china the Dm100 smart watch and she just sent me a legit invoice emailed to me through PayPal, this is another seller ! PayPal is wayyy more safer and better ! I've never ever used Alibaba , I trust PayPal better, is it true you cant accept funds or get your funds in China with PayPal right now? You are from China right !? I was supposed to travel to Hong Kong this year but they had to cancel and refund me :(
@@CierraLaSexcMixicana i think EXW is expensive from you as buyer and big responsibilty shipment from suppliers place to you. CIF is most secure and not that costly.
Hi , currently I filed a dispute on alibaba due to my supplier deliver the goods far beyond the agreed date. And deliver it to wrong address they put is wrong then they change it to correct address thus the shipping is so slow. with regards to shipping delay. what are the grounds that the shipment is delay? is this from the date they send out the item or the agreement/ conversation we have upon ordering the item?

Hi Pavol, you need to talk with your supplier to cancel the order, there is no cancel button in alibaba's page.

Hi, western union payment is acceptable for Alibaba Trade Assurance. Besides this, there are also other payment mothods for Trade Assurance: Credit Card, T/T, Paypal, Online Transfer, etc.

I want to pay using Paypal but I can't make a payment through Alibaba because there's no direct link for Paypal payment. The seller sent me an invoice through Paypal so does that mean I can not get trade assurance? Is there any way I can pay using Paypal and get trade assurance?
Since there's no paypal button on the Alibaba's payment options, I don't think my orders will be recorded in Alibaba, therefore I am afraid it will be hard to track and even make a dispute if something happens. Looking forward to your reply!
PayPal have the same policy where u can get your money back, just contact PayPal and ask about it
