Really excited for this one, I've spent years now building my own Non-Vaultech Vault 88 and it's so good to see someone else start out not using the Vault kits. It's a great space and there's so much more you could do with it than just build "another vault".
I would never have thought to build 88 like this, I just went with the standard Vault Tec theme. I did flood one of the lower levels to make a reservoir with a clear tunnel over it. All that is still not as cool as what you have started.

Really nice start to the build, can't wait to see how it all turns out. I love a good vault build myself and this is quite different to what I usually do. So really interested to see how it all turns out. Those vault pieces can be difficult to work with. I'm a bit annoyed though as I can't finish my vault my game freezes when I go to the vault now oh well. Keep up the great work Dean, eagerly awaiting to see how this all turns out. - Al
Thanks Al, yeah I can relate to the frustration of not being able to finish a build due to crashing...your vault 88 build was pretty massive so I can image you had some crashing, but what you did was pretty awesome! We'll see how long I can go on this one.
@@vault440 Thats the annoying part it wasn't crashing when I was in the vault everything was fine with the vault until i reinstalled the game and all my mods, its only since then it has happened.
what is this Black Magic?! you know the area where the settlers stay near is small. hrms wonder if I could make a semi (BOS/ENCLAVE) vault if they didn't murder the scientist. yet changed the direction of survival.
Hey ! You've decided to make a big novelty in this place, as I see it. And I think that place only exists if you put yourself an extension that's in a Holotape if I remember correctly. I believe I saw this expansion 5 years ago. I can't wait to see what you do with it too 👍🏾
Oh! I forgot to mention. I used to get a lot of crashes in here. Especially, when I scrapped everything to start ground up.. But, I found the less I scrapped the less crashes I had.. Must have something, to do with breaking certain precombines. Building over top of and or covering unwanted Items I found minimizes a lot of issues/crashes. Cheers - Jass.
I know this is 2 years old but I saw you have Posters of the Commonwealth on your mod list and was wondering if you had any issues with it? I recently installed it and for some reason it let me place one poster then no matter what I do it doesnt allow me to place another one down. Great build btw!!
its tricky sometimes - if it won't let you place a poster, go backwards in the poster selections until a poster turns green (or allows you to build it) then go forward to the one you want to place and it should let you. At least that has worked for me.
How are you able to scrap items while using the copper since it remapped my square key and I was no longer able to scrap items, it was one of the main reasons why I had to stop using it unfortunately
@@vault440 I'm on PS4, and I assume you are on PC.. so when I'm in workshop mode and I use quapa the button to use quapa and scrap items is the same.. so it makes me unable to scrap items. Which sucks 😔

I've tried to build a sealed vault/ Airlocks at all exits.. heck I tried to do one outside.. Starlight drive-in is the only place that's big enough

Oh man - I did delete just about everything - lol - I will cross my fingers and see how far I can get... but not deleting a ton of stuff makes sense.

I never use the vault tech stuff tbh it's kinda tacky I'm big on building an underground city packed with people
