Thanks for the video! I've had the Strongarm for many years now...actually have a video out there on how to make the sheath a bit more useful...no money needed. I use this on the farm all the time and it has held up perfectly. A beast of a knife. It is the one knife I would grab if I could only chose one. The metal is easy to sharp and it is tough without breaking under stess.
A great comparison. I had never seen the LMF. I always go for serrations myself. I had the Strongarm, not sure where it got too. The sheath scraped up the blade, the blade was great.
I have an LMF Infantry II and I love it. I respect the Strongarm. They're very much like the same knife with different 'features' - it's basically a pair of Jeep Wranglers in different trims ...sure, the Sahara might have nicer wheels and less-aggressive tires, and the Rubicon has locking differentials and sway-bar disconnect. Other than some cosmetic stuff, they're about the exact same thing. Back in the 2000s and early 2010s, when we were absorbed in the Big Three Wars (Afghan/Iraq/GWOT) - the LMF was the darling of the combat/survival knives. Then late 2010s into the 2020s the Strongarm became the cool-kid knife. They're damn near the same knife with cosmetic and accoutrement differences.
Without actually seeing I would say you bought the Gerber Prodigy first and not the Strongarm. The sheath for the Prodigy model is more like the LMF II but the blade is the same as the Strongarm
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge everything. The belt loop, the narrowness of the sheath making it so I can't just buy a decent loop, none of my ferro rod holders work, the back has that stupid MOLLE setup/scout plate (which doesn't even hold the knife level on my back), the inability to mount a sharpener to the sheath, the cheap feel of the material, the list goes on. I love the knife but that sheath system is a hot mess
Another Isaac with a similar interest in the difference between these two similar knives, nice
Howdy 🤠
Two power house blade’s right here. Tank tuff
That's right
Damm fine video brother. Job well done 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thank you very much
Two nice looking knives. I think I like the strongarm better. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching

They are real solid knives 👍👍
I have both but I prefer the Strongarm.
Can't go wrong

I definitely like the LMF sheath better
I like LMF better and would choose it if it were a fulltang, but it isn't, so I choose Strongarm or Prodigy.
Great video on two great knives 🔪👍
Both real solid
LMFII feels better in the hand. Both are nice knives, however the LMFII in my opinion is better.

The LMF 2 has more actual function built into it than any other knife available today. I am actually a bit amused that they didn't add a wire cutter.
It's a great blade
i got both of mine isaac which one you favor
I can't decide. They both have pros and cons. I lean more toward the LMF II I think
if i had to choose i would go with the strongarm..take care isaac
Why the Strongarm?
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge it looks better to me, more solid
@@stefanklaus1652a fair reason
The.more I play with the strong arm more I get to like it
It's a good blade. I stopped by Walmart to check out the prodigy again but they're all gone now
My first strongarm came in the lmf sheath, without the sharpener
Bought a few more years later and was like wtf is this sheath?

@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge yes you ARE correct now that you mention it. Imm looking at the prodigy right now
I hate the Strongarm's sheath system so much that it literally causes me to leave my Strongarm home all the time
What's your least favorite thing about it?

I'd take them both to battle.
They would serve well
Had me till you pulled em from the sheath and I saw the serrations. Hard nope to the lmf.
Yeah lots don't like serrations
