In German the video title is called "Änderungen am Kampfmagier" which translates to "Changes to the battlemage", literally translated word by word. I love this new translation feature that is enabled by default with no user interaction.
What CPU and motherboard features will it need to run properly? The trouble with these, and with some other cards from other brands, is that they are not good upgrade options for a lot of older CPUs and motherboards. For a new system, it would probably be better to go with a more powerful graphics card than one of these, if you can afford it, but these look like good entry level options, as long as the drivers work well enough. The more powerful 6750 XT has already been available on sale for as low as 260 USD, though it usually goes for a bit more than that. The much more powerful 7700 XT has been available for 350 for much of the last fall, though only in some regions. I've even seen the 7800 XT go as low as 370 USD in a flash sale already (new, not used), and was easy to find for around 420-440. Sure, that looks a lot more expensive, but in the context of buying a whole new AM5 system, or nearest Intel equivalent, an additional 200-250 USD, isn't that much to pay for around 60% more performance in games. Unless you really need a graphics card now, and can't afford something better, I would at least wait for the new mid-range AMD cards to release, or wait for heavily slashed prices on cards like the 7700 XT, 7800 XT, or maybe even the 4070. The best prices we've seen over the past month are likely to return again, and be available for longer periods of time, as we get closer to the release of the next gen mid-range cards.
Any cpu from intel 11th gen or ryzen non apu 3000 and up since it needs pcie gen 4 For amd u need b550 or x570 or later b or x series motherboards since it's also needed for pcie gen 4 For intel b560 and up/later generations, again because of pcie gen 4
In Europe you can buy a rtx 4060 for 289€... The Intel B580 is priced at 359€ and on Amazon at 400€... So basically in Europe you can take all the marketing they made like being the best price/performance GPU and throw it in the trash. No market here for these gpus
In this part of Europe (Sweden) the B580 and RTX 4060 are priced virtually identically. Currently the cheapest listings for each are 294e (w. 25% VAT and a small non-euro currency)
Italy 4060 is 320euro minimum. No clue where you find b580 now since is supposedly out tomorrow though. Sure i would expect worse deals at launch, so it should close the gap with msrp in a couple months
@@oimazzo2537 hi, the price on Amazon is higher for the rtx 4060 but if you look outside Amazon many trustable shops sell it at less than 300€. Regarding the price of the B580 it's already available on ldlc, Amazon (some custom at 400€) and other shops. the best price right now you can find in France and Italy is at 359€ which honestly is not a good price. Close the gap in a couple of months it's not enough cause also the other brands will bring better deals on the market...
@@oimazzo2537 Hi, I previously sent a message that probably has been blocked cause there were the names of the shops where you could find the price or I had a problem don't know. By the way, if you look outside the biggest online shop you can easily find the rtx4060 at less than 300€. I know that on the paper the release is tomorrow but again you can easily find some shops where they already sell the B580... even the biggest one has already some gunnir customs purchasable
Battlemage has something for everyone: great price to performance for mid-range gamers, software for AI content generators/dabblers/hobbyists and headroom on the OC front for tinkerers.
If it is equal or can’t beat 4060 at 249.99 msrp is it really worth saving 50$. Yes your getting more vram but possible less or equal performance. Nvidia has better drivers, RT( I personally never use it) and dlss 3. I can’t wait for the reviews I really hope intel hits it. I already have a pc but I want to built one with my wife 1080p 100fps+ at high setting but I’m not trying to spend 500$+ for a you to achieve that I hope intel or amd bring it’
2 years back Intel control center had direct driver BUG report send to Intel directly and Intel actually responded and help me. Now there is no way to report GTA5 bug on uhd 770. Only 720p window works and if you change to 1080p you get only 2x zoomed in of the top left corner of the game inside small 720p window - what a joke 😳😭👎. Intel's CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS NON EXISTENT ANYMORE. But You can find NV driver feedback on internet and NV does respond you with thanking you when you send them logs and say they discovered the bug and repaired next iteration of their app.
Can't be a value unless the drivers are on point. With AMD still struggling on drivers, their value is only there due to the issues you will run into. Intel can't be "value" until their drivers get to the same point as AMD or greater.
But like you should know, you'd only be able to buy that used and that's even if you can find it for that price in your area, plus you're missing out on proper AI upscaling and not temporal garbage
B580 hopefully beat the rtx 4060 ti and rx 7600xt and drop to 200$ then B750 be better than rtx 4070 3080 or rx 7700xt 6800 for 300$ and B380 as good as rtx 3060 or rx 6600 for 100-150$
Just because tom is a great guy and very informed on the subject does not mean BM Arc is going to be good. I wouldnt buy it even juat for the simple fact that, because intel is losing money on BM, it is not in their interest to continue to fund the driver department. Arc is done for because even on the 3rd try on a dedicated gpu, they managed to get 4060 perfirmance from a 4070 super level piece of silicon. That is a $600 chip for nvidia and a $250 chip for intel. Buying this gpu is telling intel that you think that this is all a good idea but it is inharently bad technology and unsustainable. Funding this shit show is not what intel needs.
You have no Idea what you are talking about, plus the issue they have with CPUs has nothing to do with the GPU division. You also have no Idea what is coming with Celestial. You also sound like MLID fanboy that lacks information and a good source at Intel. The reason why Alchemist suffered is for Battlemage to live since they realized on time what is going on.

If only RUclips would add AI generated summaries of videos. And maybe add some mannequins as surrogate viewers. :-/
He looks confident think this may be a success!
Very educational. Thank you.
I love learning about the process leading up to launch.
Hold on a minute, I missed a Tom Peterson interview?!? Bad me! Bad!
When is the 700 series Battlemage coming?

Why should it be a good option for crap old OEM office machines when the power supplies, in most cases, can't be upgraded anyway.....

When are you guys doing the B580 review ?
I had the same question
I hope it will come out today or tomorrow

Well it comfortably beats the 4060 and, in some games, it's even on par with a 4060ti / 7600xt, so I think it's worth it

AMD's pretty good about this too- I sent multiple bug reports in for battlefront II and a couple months later in 24.2.1 they fixed most of the stutter
Holy shit please turn off Machine Learning Translation, I had to guess the title because the translation to german was so bad.

6750xt faster than 4060ti for $290. Thats a real value. B580 should be max $200. And Im comparing 2022 gpu vs 2025. What about new AMD 8000?
But like you should know, you'd only be able to buy that used and that's even if you can find it for that price in your area, plus you're missing out on proper AI upscaling and not temporal garbage
Reading between the lines B580 is the bottom tier and more to come even that Tom is tight lipped.
5-series graphics cards are mid-tier, they use 3-5-7 digits to denote the tier here as well
B580 hopefully beat the rtx 4060 ti and rx 7600xt and drop to 200$ then B750 be better than rtx 4070 3080 or rx 7700xt 6800 for 300$ and B380 as good as rtx 3060 or rx 6600 for 100-150$
