I need your help, i have 80 liter aquarium running on 2 sponge filter, with small gravel no plants, i do a weekly water change of 40% , i feed fish food trying not to overfeed my aquarium, the issue i found worms on glass its not the first time, i had to remove everything and clean.
Thank you for this information!!! I saw a couple shrimp in my tank "doing it" The male just jumped onto that poor female. I thought I saw her pregnant shrimp a couple or three weeks ago, and yes there are babies in the tank now. This is all in a small 5 gallon tank. This tank is the happy happy tank and so healthy. Believe it or not, I've only done one water change. I think it is because the way I set it up in January. ~Michael
Superb video. Thank you so much for this video. I've built some tanks ready for shrimp and when I get some money I will get shrimp and snails to put in so this video is really helpful, thank you!
Thank You very much for sharing your experiences on natural shrimp food. This super green seems to be very delicious for the shrimps 😎 I've tried a lot of diffrent leaves, my shrimps love dried green Walnut leaves most. Once they are soaked with water again, the leave is barely skeletonitzed within 48 hours. Very easy to collect and storeable when dried and flatened in a book, and also a great vacation food. Besides that, blanched stinging nettle leaves and blanched spinach leaves are highly anticipated by my fosterlings 😊
Wow Stuart! thanks so much for sharing your experience with Walnut leaves.. I do agree that spinach and stinging nettle are a fantastic alternative to Mulberry Leaves!!
Thank you so much. I watched some other videos and they didn't help. I just bought some snow flakes. my new cherry shrimp aren't eating algae flakes or fish wafers. But they seem to like egg shells.
Hiii I'm a shrimp lover this videos makes me inspiration I love it. Here u mentioned one special food with moringa and all can u make a video how to prepare tht food
Thanks Helcio! :) There is no actual formula to frequency and feeding amount, its about making your own adjustments based on how your shrimp respond to foods you offer. As you colony gets larger you will notice they are more interested in eating foods you offer. Thats because when you start out, lets say with 10 shrimp- they are being sustained by the biofilm. Try feeding them a tiny piece of food every few days and see how they react to it. Add more food or feed more frequently if they finish the food quickly. If they don't eat anything or much, feed less food and less frequently. As your colony grows, you will find biofilm alone isn't enough. The shrimp will eagerly accept the foods we offer as the colony gets bigger, because of lack of biofilm to sustain the amount of shrimp. When there are many shrimp, thats when they actually need us to feed them! Foods like Snowflake or Mulberry leaves are useful because you can leave in the tank even if the shrimp don't want it right away. I hope this helps!
I know nothing about raising shrimp, but I wonder about using dried sourdough starter as shrimp food. It's full of natural strains of yeast and bacteria.
