Ignore any negative comments - they're idiots! I was deciding between buying a Martin and a Sigma and this video is the best sounding I've heard (personally) between both. I'm going for a Sigma! Intonation on them seems fantastic for the price point. Brilliant playing! Really brings the feel of the guitar across. Fantastic review!

these are nice guitars for the price point . I got the SD18 . they are distributed by St . Louis Music here in the U.S. when the add says solid mahogany thats solid when the add says mahogany its laminate . notice preceded by the word solid is what makes it a different spec .
In North America Martin doesn't allow AMI to use the Sigma name so if you you live in Canada or the USA Their using the name Kindred Guitars they look the same and have the same models and specs just a different name they have thier own website as well.
Hey Jarvis....how does the sound of a solid Sapele guitar compare to a Solid Mahogany guitar. I know the Sapele wood is much harder than Mahogany....so I think the volume would be less. I'm thinking of getting a Martin 000 10E Road Series.

I've taken up fingerstyle technics self-studying. I think Yamaha is just a absolute splendour, they make fantastic playable guitars of a high quality in the starting segment. A bit lower in price and still better than the rest. At least for me. Ok, take good care!

I am confused between it and big baby Tylor in terms of the sound, I like bright sounds but this one is a lot better in terms of the construction. Because I found both and they are the same price of course used but good condition both. I do not know which to choose !
I think you should consider the Sigma guitar. You're right, Taylor has a brighter sound but this fixed buying a different set of strings. Think about also the price, this is a great guitar and it's cheaper than a Taylor. Hope I could help you.
000 will be a bit louder, have a bigger sound with more bass 00 will sound more focused but play better I prefer a 00 for a balanced sound, smaller size and better playability
I didn't know they still make Sigma they used to be owned by Martin and they like you said sold it to a German company I am sure it won't hit the shores here in the states. When Martin owned it the guitars were made in Japan and they were not bad at all here you can still buy a pretty good one on Ebay on Craig's list. Love n peace ps you look so good and clear and lighting is great with the new camera like a movie actor. ha ha

China made guitar is not badly made. But their workmanship and fine details still a long way. Bought 2 China made Cordoba not long back. Love the guitar but a bit poor in their details.
They r not really cheap though.....their craftmanship is generally improving. Just that wish they just pay attention to details which r important to acoustic instrument. The thing for such thing is that u wun know until u buy it...

I had this guitar a while ago. This is an absolutely lovely guitar to finger pick and very easy to play on with the shorter scale.

You sure that's rosewood for the bridge and fingerboard? It looks like ebony, especially with that streaking on the fingerboard.

Have you tried the Ibanez AC240 or the AC340? They are also folk size models, all mahogany. There is a 100 € difference :/
