What
I love how this episode got straight into the action! One of the many strengths of this season is that the villains do not mess around and they don’t lurk in the background. I think the best example of that was when Gigist just straight-up teleported Houtarou to his location and tried to rip the Nijigon egg out of him immediately. Lol.
This episode also did great with “setting up the pieces on the gameboard” and structuring a strong beginning to an exciting ending. I think it’s been confirmed that this season will have 50 episodes this time around. That’s good. I don’t particularly like it when Kamen Rider seasons end at just 45-47 episodes.
I’m definitely enjoying Germain’s antics so far. He’s delightfully flamboyant while still being utterly despicable. Reminds me of Sora/Gremlin from Wizard. He’s crazy,… and I like him for it.
Loved the episode. Turns out Gigist really sneaked out early just to get that 1% more power to flex on the other Abyssal Kings
About Nijigon, he probably ran away because of what Spanner said. Maybe Nijigon trying to befriend other humans to prove him wrong

I really hate Supana's hypocrisy; his character is too inconsistent.
Yeah, looking back on it, that’s the main reason why Gigist was ecstatic when he discovered Nijigon inside Houtarou. If he retrieved Nijigon and gained his power, then he’d surpass the other two Kings. He’d be able to kill Germain and Gaelijah and take THEIR fragments of the Philosopher’s Stone as well so he’d be able to recreate and utilize the Stone in its entirety.
I VERY MUCH enjoyed that the three Kings have both different agendas and abilities/themes. It’s neat that they’re not a well-oiled machine and even seem to flat out despise each other (well, Germain and Gaelijah seem to despise Gigist anyway).
It seems like the Kings are having a sort of competition to see who gets the full power of the Philosopher’s Stone and who gets to enact their goals and be the last one standing. And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gigist is the one who outlives the other two and takes Germain and Gaelijah’s fragments of the Philosopher’s Stone for himself upon their defeats (that would still mean that all three Kings together would get to be the “Final Bosses,” in a way). After all, he’s had the most “spotlight” on him till this point and has established good dynamics with both Houtarou and Supana.
Plus, at the moment, I feel like they’ve been hinting at a strange mystery surrounding Gigist. Mostly because of that odd remark he made to himself after his first encounter with Supana regarding his shock at how Supana shared the Black Flames but was able to keep his human form…. And, maybe I’m over analyzing, but Gigist’s design is quite different compared to Germain and Gaelijah’s. In that he looks more like a Malgam compared to them, his extra limbs are hanging down while theirs are raised up, etc.
Even more strange is how one preview pic for next episode seems to show Gigist intervening to save Supana and Lachesis from Clotho.
Yet another full meatal alchemist reference first it was houtarou family picture with the dad face being covered just like the elric family picture in full meatal
Epic episode
I was not expecting the team to take such massive Ls in that fight to recover Fuga. Like, I was under the impression Rainbow Gotchard was stronger than it really was, only to get molly wopped almost as bad as Spanner.
Also great setup back in the iron gotchard debut to explain how Houtaro was able to still use platinum gotchard without nijigon in the belt.
Wait can you explain it? XX

I was surprised how this episode answred where geryon went. I was expecting him to be gigist's vessel, not germain's snack.
It makes me think that we might get a special crossover movie with Kamen Rider Gotchard and Kamen Rider Wizard after this since it's involved with the Philosopher's Stone

I'm just glad we got to see a little bit more of Kamen Rider wind, seriously in my opinion the suit is way too good and underutilized.
It definitely feels like the suit was tacked on to sell more Alchemist Driver units, which is sad because I would love to see more of him, likely in a VCin or side content.
It’s definitely obvious that Atropos is playing Rinne and manipulating the latter’s desire for Atropos to redeem himself. She’s clearly hoping for the Riders to defeat Germain so she can retrieve Geryon from his belly.
I think that’s gonna set up the future plot development of Atropos being forced to confront the reality of Geryon being a monster and her realizing that she treated the other two Sisters, her REAL family who actually care about her, like utter garbage to gain the maniac’s favor.

I like how the wierd sadist dude ate geryon which was the most funniest thing for me considering the guy kinda deserved it and had it coming like come on opening a seal that lock away dangerous beings always have consequences
Fuga still being in is so random, but if they can make him work for the story now then I'm fine with it
I think what Germain means is that he along with the 2 other kings (Queen for Gaelijah) are the originally alchemist. Not him alone.

Unfortunately for me, gotchard thus far has been weird. It just feels like stuff happen. It feels very episodic.
For me: zero one and Geats felt like they had cohesion, saber felt like one giant story arc with no breaks, revice and gotchard feel episodic
These villains feel too much like the big bad from king-ohger, like power level, characters etc
I will be honest, I don't like Fuga nor Legend. Reason why is they screwed over Majade for Retail Toy Releases IMO.
Reason 1: Legend took the toy slot for releases for what normally goes for the Secondary Rider of the show even though his stuff could have been Pbandai. Seriously, he only showed up in a Special when his toys were released and he only showed up in main series for his final form toy for like three episodes in the show.
Reason 2: I hate Kamen Rider Wind not because of the suit, but because his lack of presence in the story. I bet you they made Majade Pbandai so they could wait to release the Driver unit AFTER Wind debuted so they could avoid spoilers about him. If he did not exist, Majade might have been a retail release.
I fully believe that the opposite happened for Wind, in that he was a late addition specifically BECAUSE Toei didn't feel confident in Majade selling the Alchemist Driver, and they added him in right before the driver released so they could get more people to buy the driver. Overall Majade does seem to be a test to see if a female secondary would sell decently, which is why they put her in as the pbandai slot instead of retail release(and made her intro in the movie), so if this test fails, the losses wouldn't be as big.
@e-tan3911 That is also a Valid reason, but still a bad taste in my mouth. Another bit is that I honestly think Majade was never meant to be a rider or at least the secondary TBH.
Reason why is, besides the Gaiard and Dragonalos cards, there are no upgrade Cards for Majade to get a power up, hell, Valvarad and Legend have pairing stuff to Gigant liner, so Valvarad has two "upgrade" cards makes me think he was originally planned to be the Secondary rider until Bandai changed their minds and made Majade a thing.
Wind did cut Majade out of getting a Third form like Valvarad with base form and two custom ups while Majade only has one other form.
Philosopher's Stone like from Wizard?
Yeah that was a plot device in Wizard, wasn't it? I won't get my hopes up but maybe Gotchard will connect the two series?
