      Yeah just a little hiccup I believe its a O ring on the elbow out of the filter housing letting air into the derv line then the computer spotting a fault then going into safe mode (bit like limp mode)

    Love the videos as I've got a pot blaster that I'm trying to set up to do two trailers like this one on my property.
    Any guess how much abrasive you used on this fuel trailer? I'm assuming that i should go with slag or something other than glass bead to get off the rust... But estimating the amount of material would be super helpful if you can. Thanks so much.

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  Год назад +1

      I used crushed glass as I buy bulk that's the cheapest for me but iron silicate is around the same price to private use and would cut slightly quicker but like I say glass to me is near half price it doesn't cut 2xs as fast so I opt for crushed glass cfm would pay a massive part in media and derv consumption

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  Год назад +1

      I'm fully dry all the time I keep things so stress free by adding water right at the end with a Win nosel keeping water well away from the pot altogether or at least try to keep it dry 😏 damp air is my issue now as this new to me compressor doesn't have a factory cooler like my old 1 and I regret not holding out for 1 with a cooler now 😬

    Do these big blasters run at around 90 psi like the small cabinet ones, just at higher volume rate or do they run at higher pressure as well?

    • @Mobileblaster

      125psi @ 425cfm cabinets normally run 90 because the cfm (flow) is about 3hp = to 15cfm ish

    Did you solve the compressor going into limp mode then?

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  Год назад +2

      Looks like it's something to do with the diesel fuel filter I believe its the O ring on elbow letting air into the system then the computer picking up a fault then dropping into safe mode(limp mode) I dropped the pickup pipe into the tank bypassing the filter housing and it seems to lay in that and its a new housing only old part is the elbow and only serviceable part is the O ring I still need to change it and try it but we'll time is a issue at the moment 😏

    Love the work you do! Sounds like your sandblaster needs some TLC to get rid of those hiccups she's having lol. Question: Have you thought about switching over to those portable laser cleaners? Or adding one to your repertoire, alongside the sandblasting? From what I've seen, they're pretty nice bits of kit that can even expand the jobs you can offer - like if a customer wanted paint removed but _not_ the underlying primer layer (I _think_ those laser cleaners can have their settings altered to do this?? Not sure though). Or removing soot from fire/smoke damaged properties.

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  Год назад +1

      😂 yeah always something going wrong lol what I've sussed out is anything a laser can do a blaster can also do but a blaster is 100x cheaper to buy and 10x cheaper to operate 10x faster at operating plus a blaster can do alot more. I would love for the technology to improve as I think it will be the future of serface preparation but as it stands alot is needed to make it feasible option for a business to buy

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  Год назад +1

      No way would any mobile lasers do this job even the extra large more power hungry units couldn't come close to the speed finish and cost of a blaster 👍

      @@Mobileblaster Ah fair enough. I wasn't sure since I'd seen they appear relatively fast, from the videos I've watched. • @Mobileblaster

      Yea the lasers are good for smaller parts indoors, inside factories and that.
      Is there a secondary screen or something in or around the fuel pump that might be blocked.
      Something before the fuel filter maybe. Just guessing.
      It's a nice compressor Doosan makes pretty reliable gear too.
