Looked this fragment up in Poor Charlie's Almanack. Peter Kaufman explained it like this: In the real world, it is critical to distinguish when you are “Max Planck” and when you are the “chauffeur”. If you cannot respond legitimately to the next question, you lack true mastery and are likely outside your “Circle of Competence.”
Iheard the same story but with Einstein and offcourse in Bengali.
Imagine if the real Max Planck doesn't know the answer
Shoulder.
I know. I missed it. My bad!
Real “knowlegde 😉
Interesting....
An anecdote is not panecea but it could be the antidote.
Lol....
I dont get it.
supposed to be "I am going to ask my chauffeur to answer that" not shoulder
It's about knowing stuff vs. deep understanding. The chauffeur knows stuff, but Max Planck has a deep understanding of the material.
@@TIS610 The subtitle was wrong, he did say chauffeur.
I think the joke is that even though the chauffeur can memorize the whole lecture, he doesn't actually have real knowledge of the physics. So he repeated everything Max Planck said like a parrot 🐦 including " I should ask my chauffeur to do it!"
The eager asia intialy harm because sand phongsaly scorch towards a threatening helium. actually, remarkable book
funny anecdote, but i wonder if ppl realize that the title for this video is a perfect characterization for the lunacy of the left
Yep, straight to politics. You must be a fun person to hang out with.
