My guess is Warren easily has a 140 IQ, but his point is true. It is not that it doesn’t take amazing talent to do what he does, it is just that IQ is not the best way to measure it. It is more like worldly wisdom combined with intelligence throttled by a good rationale and temperament and endless dedication and a long time horizon. But also having a sound quantitative understanding of value and what fundamentals make a business attractive.
IQ involves solving a series of not very complex puzzles quickly. Deciding what is a good stock to buy is not something that needs to be done in a rush. Research and rumination would probably work better.

It takes a Discipline. And being an unemotional rainman is very helpful. Most people are socialized and normal. That's a Handicap. I Admire Warren Buffet and have since before he was famous. But on a Personal level and on a Spiritual level. I Just Feel Sorry for him. He has not figured out the Meaning of Life. And that is very sad. The Best insight into Warren Buffet is the book "The Snowball" by Alice Schroeder. (sp) He no longer speaks to her.

You can tell someone’s wealth by how much into the future they think about and plan for. If you only plan for the next month, you’re minimum wage. If you plan for a few months out maybe a year, you probably make 6 figures. If you plan for the next few years, you’re probably a millionaire. If you think in terms of decades, you’re on the billionaire level.
They tend to overthink things. What Buffet means is that it's not a matter of a genius IQ, but it's all about your mental game. IQ isn't the thing you should focus on, it's your ability to make your own decisions and not get influenced by others and the price of stocks. Look for value and don't chase a stock that keeps going up for the wrong reasons.
Man Warren is looking so old. All that money, wish he could invest it in longevity or anti aging research. He could make a HUGE dent in curing so many of society's ills and then live to experience them.
