The bottom clip is the spring retainer and the piston is the shock shaft, job well done 👍

go with 90wt in the front and the back and then put gold springs on all 4 shock with 3.8 tires and that will stop your chace slap and brakeing parts.i did this and it is a hole new truck.

Did you flip the video? It looked like you were screwing anticlockwise to tighten.

I just bout my first RC ever. Waiting for it to come in the mail. It’s a Maxx V2. Will this video be accurate for helping me change the oil on the newer version? Also your how to video is pretty kick ass and very detailed 🙏🏻

Joes can you help me, I'm trying to figure out how to tell the difference between front and rear shocks on the Maxx.

From memory they are the exact same only difference being the spring rate on front and rear differ. That’s the case when using the widemaxx but I can’t 100% remember if that’s the case with the stock ones. Pretty sure they are the same it should also say that ok the manual. Cheers mate! 🍻

The front & rear shocks are not identical as they have different sized pistons… The front have 1.35 & the rear 1.25
