Thank you for this video! I have been hesitant about starting my podcast but you guys have given me awesome tips for my RUclips Channel that I have grown from 12 subscribers to over 150 in less than 30 days! My dream is to have both my YT channel and podcast up and running! Thank you again so much!
Started a podcast this month and it will be 1 month old on the 11th of June. I have 3 episodes already and working on my 4th. Thank you for the tips it will help me do better.
Me and two of my friends are wanting to start and we seem to be very serious about it. I’m watching this video and going to order a book just to be even more educated on podcasting. Wish us luck. And I wish all of you look and I hope that each and everyone of you have great success broadcasting
Love podcasting because of saving a lot of time with learning when I'm exercising, training, driving, walking with my dogs. All brands should consider such a format in their content marketing strategies.
I am married with 3 older children (ages 15 to 22), and we are talking about starting a family podcast. To start, we are looking at cheap ways to turn an extra bedroom into a studio. We have some higher level types of USB microphones, and some good computers with editing software. Working on sound treating, etc.
The way you touch your fingers and your arm is stuck to your body, It makes you seem nervous I would recommend for you to move your arm freely and get it away from your body that would make you seem more confident and trustworthy, But the way you talk and share your information Is super super great!! wish you all luck❤❤❤
Great information. Most podcasts fail because of the subject matter. Most think you press record and start talking but it is actually not that easy or straight forward. If on your own, write a script, rewrite, then practice many times out loud. hitting record and to start talking with no idea but "I am an expert in this topic so I will be ok" is always a disaster. Many times over the years I have had experts in their field turn up and do none of the prep work I asked. Most ended up being abandoned. One person spend 2 hours just trying to say their name. The pressing of the record button or on the camera and the red light comes on, commonly freezes people. I now spend a lot of time beforehand acclimatizing them to the studio with small talk to relax them. When having 2 or more in the podcast, have the questions agreed in advance and give the questions to the participant in advance so they know what to say and have good answered prepared.. Its a podcast, not an interrogation. In todays fast consumption society, so many think that just having a recording device, no matter how basic, makes them a "professional". Successful podcasting is extremely difficult and a lot of work goes into it, but the prep work makes it look easy, which is the purpose. I have a Msc and Phd in digital content and learning development and I have often been "told" in talks and lectures that "why do I need to get any experience or qualifications, when I can go onto RUclips and learn everything you know in a week....."
I'm an artist and I'm looking to start recording and sharing videos of me creating my art, etc... I'm not tech savvy and trying to figure out the best equipment, set up, etc... seems really daunting to me. I just found your videos today and I'm hoping this will finally give me the confidence to make this leap. Thank you for the videos!
Thanks so much for the tips. I just tuned 50 and I’ve always wanted to have a career in radio but it never worked out so now that I’m entering the 2nd half of my life I’m gonna just go for it. ☺️ hopefully I won’t over think this too much
@@NetabideCreations There are multiple ways to monetize a podcast, there is affiliate marketing, brand deals, host read ads. The most important factor in how effective you will be at it will be directly tied to how many listeners you have downloading your podcast consistently.
Just some feedback on this video. Excellent overall, but when mentioning Buzzsprout (which I never heard of because I’m a newbie) there was nothing on the screen to show the URL or even a shot of the Buzzsprout home page to identify the site. Watching on my firetv, I couldn’t make out what the host was saying 100% so I wound up coming to the app to see what the website was. Just a little thing, and just a suggestion. This video was awesome!
I def get all the info I can from different podcasters , I started my podcast a few months ago and figured out my own recipe of making it easier for myself because, it is a lot of work lol
I am watching this because I am starting a podcast on the topic of leadership sharing my experience working in the criminal justice system. I hope to connect with you guys and bring an update in few months. Good luck everyone trying to build something.
iPhone headphone mics are actually amazing at background noise cancellation. I used them for motorcycle bike to bike communications and they were crystal clear
thanks for this video, since in my family we have two of theese cameras i want to ask you if the canon eos 2000d is enough to start a videopodcast with 4 people talking around a table? i' ve heard this camera is not good for videos but i actually know very little about photo and video. Thank you very much 😀
Heather, thank you SO much. I must have been through at least 20 something videos before coming across yours. You made podcasting as easy as I needed it to be, for me. Audacity and Buzzsprout. THANK YOU!!!
I started my podcast last year. its not the best but im gonna get better. I just wanted to start and i wanted to do a video podcast for added effect. i got big ideas when I get more money to invest myself. thank you think media for the info
Love this! and yes, starting your own podcast is HUGE. But I ALSO think that doing interviews on OTHER people's podcasts can get you even bigger results! Think about it...big exposure, brand building, credibility by being interviewed by another thought leader/influencer. It's the fastest path to building your authority. It's why my team built out a whole program teaching entrepreneurs how to land those interviews.
Thanks for the information! I've been wanting to do a podcast and make it like story night on the radio when I was growing up. This is going to be fun!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU AND YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM DO ON RUclips. YOU'RE ONE OF MY 100'S OF INSPIRATIONS THAT HELPED ME TO FINALLY CREATE A RUclips CHANNEL.
I use my phone headphones/mic a lot as a lapel mic and have wrapped a bit of foam around it to make a pretty effective wind muffler. By doing this carefully it's unobtrusive and allows me to make much better voice recordings in the outdoors.
Thank you!!!! this video was great!! i know ive always wanted to do something recording wise but I felt like youtube wasnt really my thing. . . until i learned about podcasting and thought that it would be worth a shot!! thanks for helping so many people get started!
Thanks for the tips! I can’t wait to launch my podcast on personal development and healthy relationships. In the meantime, I’m focused on growing my RUclips channel. 😊
What basic equipment would you recommend for zoom calls? Basically, we have 2 people on one PC (me and an elderly family member, who is hard to hear) with another person on the other end, like a doctor. Would 2 Blackwire C5220 headsets for us do the trick? How do we connect and manage on our 1 PC to talk to another person on zoom? Or do we need a base Yeti? Of course, for a family member to hear better a headset would work, but I would not be able to hear the person on the other end of the zoom.
how do you do an intro for the podcast? I have never done one I listen to them and most have an into. Thank you for this - it was short, precise and clear.
since u had shure mv7 as a part of thumbnail i taught it has some part in the video but my expectation crashed but i have u say that the thumbnail is spot on
Podcasting is such a good idea in 2021! 💥 Not for me, though. I have to concentrate on growing my YT channel first 😉 Although people said I have a soothing voice hahaha
This video was awesome, super informational. I am looking into starting a podcast discussing social and political issues, and this video definitely gave me the confidence to jump right in!
Happy to get help with this. Though I wish you guys could diversify the smartphone option some of us are proud android users, so some options on android, please. 😊😊Thanks for the tutorial much 😍
@Sakey's Food Stories You should diversify it yourself, asking alot from others without putting your own time and effort in. If you can't figure it out then do research and go to podcasting reddits or forums and ask there.

Thanks, Manny! Good luck to your group as well!
Pretty thorough explanation. Also pretty encouraging to know we don't need one million dollar equipment to start a Podcast.
yes! you can start with just your phone!
Hey Draco do you think this lady just used her phone? lmao
We just want to get started already

i just love how in 8 minutes she made understand what a podcast is and how you begin with it. She clearly deserves a subscribe :)
Think media took my RUclips CHANNEL by the hand and took it to a whole new level. Thanks 🙏
I love that Think Media's go to gear is always use what you got. They make things practical.

It’s all about the mic, proximity, and audio engineering.
Do we get to setup an account anywhere

I do enjoy the way you've organized your channel... Awesome
