I've been looking for a straightforward video like this forever, and yours was perfect. I love how you consulted with other people with varying stats to compare income, super helpful. I'm gonna check out your other vids! Thank you for sharing this!
So what if no one download the episodes but they get thousands of views, does that count for anything In the podcast network eyes or people must download them? I’m asking because I never download anything.
I was really surprised to find out podcasts are a much lucrative and less time consuming job than RUclips. That really motivated me into doing podcasts. Thank you, this is a very informative and well researched video 😁
Im a Tim Ferriss fan and I can tell you why he makes a lot of money from his ads and why he puts them only in the beginning. 1- He charges alot of money for his ads because he is very genuine with his recommendations (ads). He only advertises products/services that he would use himself and his fans know that so the ROI advertisers get from these ads are usually high. 2-Tim Ferriss is a big believer in single tasking and focus so he would rather you listen be engaged in the podcast without any ads interrupting the flow of the podcast.
Interesting! I never really thought about podcasts as a good source of income prior to this! Very good video, and keep this type of content coming! Great job Shelby!
Great content Shelby! BTW, any of your RUclips posts that do not depend on the visuals are ready to post as a podcast without much more work; you should consider that since you are already getting good audio for the video content you produce it could mean a simple stripping out the audio and uploading it to a podcast host. NPR is the gold standard for podcasting, they have the best mics, great production values, etc. but they also recommend a lower bit rate for audio publishing. I found that curious of course since everyone seems to go the other way, right. Apparently they have found that folks are not listening on expensive systems/headphones and since a podcast is essentially a radio broadcast with a sexy name they prefer to make their podcasts download quicker for their audience and a lower audio bit rate translates to a much smaller file for long programs. The additional benefit is they consume less space in the cloud. Lots of folks starting out have to be aware of the cost of storing their podcasts so all of the NPR advice makes sense.
I loooooove your content and you were actually the first person to get me started on my health journey of healthier options for myself and family. You are the best!
Shelby, thank you for making this video. So smart of you to be asking these questions. The equipment is so helpful. Thank you to all of those featured in your video for sharing their experience.

this was really interesting, loved how you showed a variety of different people showing different success stories!!! I never knew people could make this much with podcast!!!
Shelby, one thing to think about is that this video could be a podcast, the information is not reliant on the visuals. I listened to most of this vid without watching and was still very entertained,

Love the insights! One thing to also consider is that ad rates also fluctuate based on the space you're in.
