Wildlife video diary - The Great Crested Grebe one of the most striking birds of the Norfolk Broads

- Great crested grebe chicks, with their distinctive stripped plumage, have to be one of the cutest chicks on the river. This video diary, filmed over ten weekends, follows a grebe family and long the way we meet some of the other inhabitants of the river.
I hope you enjoy watching it, I certainly did making it.
Filmed on the Norfolk Broads between May and August 2015. The majority of footage was recorded with a Panasonic DMC-G6 with 100-300mm lens. With some wide shots and close ups filmed with a Panasonic HMC-FZ1000 in 4K and resized. Nearly all shots were used without modification with only a few clips adjusted to correct exposure.
I always ensure that my presence does not disturb the wildlife that I’m filming.

Hi, thanks again for the comment. I love watching the grebes, the pair had 4 chicks this year, they all fledged but sadly only one made it.

What has happened to all the ducklings, cygnets, chicks on the Broads, is the Otters doing this? The fishermen say theres no fish either
