I LOVED this one. Remember renting it and just loving it, then trading my copy of Double Dragon to a friend for it. Maybe not the best trade ever, but I got that Double Dragon back some years later when you could get NES games for a buck at flea markets. Weird the little things you remember.
This Capcom shoot 'em up is definitely off-beat, mixing ancient landscapes with robots and spaceships filled with brains and eyeballs, but the classic Capcom presentation and the reasonable difficulty level put it a solid step above most of the NES's early shooters.
Good times. me, my sisters, my best friend and my brothers played this when we were bored, and we had got 333,150 points as our high score. Thanks for uploading this!
Thank you for posting this gameplay. It brought back good childhood memories from when I first played NES as a child. This was one of the game's I owned. Cheers!👍🏾
Absolutely love this game when I was a kid, and was by far the most difficult game I ever past. This dude here is the only one I have found on RUclips who actually knows where the lucky room can be found in stage 4. I just wish he understood that you can shoot out the eyes, when you fight the devils stand-up Beach Palace, making it impossible for the thing to shoot eyeballs at you. Otherwise, he's a hell of a good player what kept me going, when I would play this at a kid, wasn't just the challenging gameplay, it was the awesome music. I especially love the music and stages 3 and 5. It was a great game but never got the respected it rightly deserves.
Anyone notice how the palaces from 1 to 5 slowly progress from natural looking (1) to completely overrun and taken over by technology (5)? Nice storytelling I didn’t realize until now.
I was in first grade with this came out and remember renting it a lot and never really liking it or getting very far at all, but it's significant to me for two reasons. First, those faces, especially the one that can suck you in, frightened me in a way that made it kind of a thrill whenever they'd show up, which was probably an early encounter with conflicting emotions. And second, because it was the first time I can remember in which I noticed the name of the company what made the game. At some point, Capcom started releasing their games in uniform boxes and when I realized they all came from the same place, and that Legendary Wings was actually one of theirs, I rented it again to see if that knowledge would change my feelings towards it. Between that and my growing skill, I ended up liking it a bit more. Instantly I noticed it "sounds like Willow" and "he runs like Bionic Commando". Life was cool when you were just figuring it out.
OMG I finally found a video about this game... I loved this game... but I couldn't remember the name of the game. I thought it all started with Angel for over 30 years and now I realize why I thought that. I forgot the character is an angel lol. WOW... This was my favorite game and Abadox. I'm 40 years old right now, good memories ♥
I bought this game at a garage sale for a buck many years ago and since I collect more games than I play I still haven't played this game, it's one of the handful of NES games that I have never played. This video popped up in my feed so here I am and now I think it's time for me to play the game. It's exciting cuz even though it's a old game it's a new game for me. Like Al Bundy always says, "LET'S ROCK"
Shit! I believe that at some point in the last 35 years I lost something very valuable that I will never get back! When I was a child I felt this game as the most real thing ... now everything seems so stupid and insubstantial.
This was a very fun game, challenging also. At the beginning for the most part, one bad move and *wash wash wash* (sounds like, when you are shot 😁) The music sounds like Megaman meets Stryder... understadable since both are also from Capcom...
2:05 and in today's episode of "real men wear pink thongs and high heels".... ... was the air-ground fire control first in this game, or Dragon Spirit?

I love the music tunes the old games ...brings bacc old fuzzy Saturday morning eating golden crisp
Or Frosted Flakes
Or fruit loops
Bless Takashi Nishiyama & Akira Kitamura, two men who could do no wrong.

My cousin Kris and I used to stay up all night playing this! Good times.
This game just happens to pop up in my head yesterday, now i finally see it again . This game was so nostalgic for me, thank you

Idk why but playing this game creeps me out 😂
That's so weird, me too! That's actually why I came back to it, the creepy vibe

yes, it does !!!
Beating this game without losing a life was very satisfying for me even if I did lose the phoenix powerup during the final boss.

Gotta love that phoenix powerup
one of my fave. i finished up to 2 or 3 cycle before . next cycle would be insanely fast enemies.
couldnt wait to go to my cousins house to get on this game in the 80s 😄

Um dos melhores jogos de nes que já joguei, top demais

Played this game when I was maybe five. I remember it well.
I don't think I ever beat the first level haha.
I loved this game as a kid.
No micro transactions. No lag, no glitching, no online toxicity. Great music and great gameplay. My childhood was 🔥🔥🔥🔥😎
Oh man the feels.....
i also love hiw dope the games soundtrack!
I loooooved this game so much
The vibes is there
I thought this was a fever dream given I haven’t seen it since the 90s😮
This game was so much fun

Loved this one
Good old times...
27:23 The drill enemies from Metal Man's stage!

I used to play this in the arcade. beat the game twice over with one qtr. amazing game. had the nes version too but imo the arcade is better
first nes shmup i've beat. only have beaten 3. actually no deaths either. if you lose those fully powered up weapons it becomes way harder. cool game
First Nintendo game I ever got. Couldn't even beat the first level LOL
It's basically Section Z plus 1942
I think the NES port is better than the Arcade version. There are a lot of extras on the NES port that the Arcade version doesn't have.
Like what?
@@OfficialTruDru The fleshed out bonus stages, continuously-scrolling dungeons (for extra challenge), and the more detailed powerup/health system.
@@GreatMewtwo thanks and the Heart Woman is missing only to be replaced by a man how gay.
I broke my NES game dust latch/cover by stomping on the console because of this game back in '88. One of the most infuriating games ever.
Great game unfortunately I never got pass the first stage
It's *_*past_* , not passed.
How? 1st stage is easy. Now the later stages I 8nderstand
@@jayskicksnfits9372
Oh shit, a minor typo that doesn't confuse anyone - that is horrifying, and it might cause depression.
I could never beat this no matter how hard I tried
2:05 and in today's episode of "real men wear pink thongs and high heels"....
... was the air-ground fire control first in this game, or Dragon Spirit?
That was originally a woman don't know why they changed it.
Xevious was the first for independent air to air and air to ground shots
If you're looking for a game with wings in it, I think you might be in luck.
The boss brain fights felt painful because if I remember correctly you can destroy the eyes 👁 so they don't fire.
You can. Bugged me too.
>be like 5 or something
>doo doo doo another fun shoot em up yaaaaay 0:49 *OH MY GOD TURN IT OFF!!!!*
No Michelle Heart in this outing though :(
That was originally her they changed it for no reason.
@@OfficialTruDru
I guess Nintendo had rules against showing a woman in a thong.
@@KenMasters. Seems like a legit theory. Nintendo's standards and practices were once the strictest in the infancy of the video game industry.
13:00 Shit, it's Super Suzy! She's even worse than regular Suzy!
Пожалуй единственная игра, где в начале играть сложнее, чем в конце
Sounds like Megaman
So the Game is not so Legendary?
Oswald Epic Loquendero Not quite, but it is good.
