    I am just curious how these fit compared to the 22. They are a bit snug for me and a wide should fit perfect, the ghost 14 is a bit on the edge but fine as normal but the ghost 15 is a touch roomier and is perfect for me. I love that they do feel a bit firm underfoot which is great since for me it's a workout/gym shoe and I don't always want as much give as other shoes will give.

    Thank you. I was looking for a pair of shoes to wear on the Camino in September, and this looked like a suitable candidate. Is there a more suitable shoe for someone walking 25-30 km daily at a relaxed pace? The Camino is not a race and does not need a lot of performance shoe features. But it does need shoes that will not give you blisters and will last 600 km before they start to fall apart.

    I got a pair of these back in March. They really helped me out with my knee pain but now my issue is that because I supinate pretty hard, they roll pretty hard to the outside. This was my first brooks and would buy another for sure. Should my progression take me towards maybe the ghost max or the beast?

    Didn’t like the new style laces in the 22 from the 21 and I find the heel cushions wear really quick but as for comfort and usability it’s a great shoe and I always recommend these over Skechers when people ask my opinion,and like a previous comment the Hoka equivalent seems so bulky

    Great information. I wear Brooks Ghost 14 & 15 now. Do you think the Adrenaline GTS 23 have a better arch support than the Ghost? I have had both feet/arch and hip issues so I am trying to get the best Brooks for those needs. I am sold on Brooks, just not sure which style gives the best support, especially in the arch.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  11 месяцев назад

      Yes. The Adrenaline GTS 23 will have more arch support thanks to Brooks' proprietary GTS Go-To-Support GuideRail technology. If you want even more support, the Ariel GTS is designed with support in mind. Having a wider base alongside the GuideRails helps make it a maximum support shoe.

    A bit sad to hear that you think Brooks will be making modifications in future Adrenaline models. I've used Adrenalines for many years - probably close to 15 years. The 20 was absolutely the PERFECT shoe for me. That shoe was the most comfortable shoe, of any kind, that I have ever owned. It fit so well that I purchased several pairs. My multiple pairs of 20s finally wore out, and I had difficulty finding 20s being sold anymore, so I was forced to purchase the 22s. The 22s are very similar to the 20s, but they simply did not fit me as perfectly as the 20s did. Looking back, I should've purchased 10 pairs of the 20s, as I highly doubt I will ever come across another shoe that fit me so well.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear! It is not fun to not run! I think something with a wider toe box like an Altra Paradigm 7. It has a wide toebox shape and provides great medial support. The Hoka Arahi 6 is another great option for a comfy toe box and superb medial support for your pronation. You could try this shoe in a wide option. Both shoes have a low to zero drop (Altra is zero drop, Hoka is 5 mm drop) which we have found to help with these issues. Hope that helps! Thank you!

  • @nikhilsanon5006

    Greetings from DC!
    I’ve enjoyed running in Brooks Ghost (11 and 14) for the past few years, but I switched to the Hoka Arahi 6 for some added stability since I tend to strike on the outside of my forefoot (supinate). The shoe fitter at my local running store suggested the Arahi, but after about 120 miles, I haven’t seen much difference. The wear pattern on the outsole is no different than the wear pattern on my previous neutral shoes and the shoes feel unnecessarily bulky.
    Wondering if the Adrenaline would have been a better choice for me.

      I went from adreneline 21 to Arina 6. They were so different. The Arina was bulky and very soft. Adreneline had a more firm structure and reacted quicker. I'm a heel striker.

    I've been running in New Balance 860s for a while. I'm thinking of transitioning to GTS 23. Currently, on 860 v12. What do you think 860 v13 or GTS 23s?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  7 месяцев назад +1

      The Adrenaline is a great alternative shoe line to the 860. The biggest difference you will notice is that the Adrenaline is slightly firmer in the cushioning. We find that Brooks' DNA Loft midsole is firmer compared to other brands' midsole foams. Comparing the 860v13 to the Adrenaline GTS 23, the 860 has better arch support, whereas the Adrenaline has better all-around stability.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  Год назад

      The Adrenaline GTS is plenty stable. The Brooks Go-To-Support Guiderail system helps provide stability on both the medial and lateral sides of the feet. Compared to some of the other competitors, the Adrenaline GTS 23 is one of the most stable shoes in its category and price point.

    if y'all had to choose between these and the beast gts 23's what are you doing?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  11 месяцев назад

      That would depend on what you are doing. If you want a jack-of-all-trades shoe that you can do a bit of everything in, we recommend the Adrenaline. If you want something a little bit more cushioned and a little bit more support that's going to be better for walking, we recommend the Beast. The Beast is a more cushioned, more stable running shoe that is heavier than the Adrenaline. The Adrenaline is a more streamlined, less cushioned, stable shoe that is great for a plethora of different activities.

      We recommend the Beast/Ariel over the Adrenaline because the Beast/Ariel GTS 23 has more support than the Adrenaline GTS 23. If you have Mortons Neuroma, you should check out the Aetrex L705 inserts we carry. They have a metatarsal pad that spreads pressure in your forefoot and helps with the pain it can cause.

    • @RunMoore

      I've never run in that model but from what I know, this is somewhat close. The Solarglide is also a stability shoe but the midsole is much more performancey than the Adrenaline (one of the reasons the Adidas costs so much more). If you were looking for a Brooks shoe that is closer to this (although not Gor-Tex), I would check out the Glycerin GTS 21 or Hyperion GTS. They both are a more responsive, stability options from Brooks.

      @RunMoore  Год назад +2

      Thanks for watching the video. There will be a slight difference in feel from a supportive shoe compared to your standard plush walker. You should notice a pressure against your arch. This is the stability providing support for your arch. It usually takes a couple of weeks to get used to. If you don't, however, we always recommend trying a neutral shoe with an aftermarket insert.

Unfortunately for running, I appreciate a little more cushioning and bounce. For the version 23, I am not convinced. I am sold over by NB and Hoka. I felt they got what I paid for. Not the 22 which is kinda garbage to me. Felt like wasted my money and tempted to chug them in the bin but it is kinda bad for the environment. Let me cut thru the Bull...these shoes suck for the price. They are soft and squishy, and lack support. They feel like a pair of cheap shoes I would buy at Payless. For context, I have purchased over 10 Brooks GTS Adrenaline 's over the years. I still wear a pair of GTS 16's on and off, and they have a better fit than the GTS 23's and that takes in account all the miles I put on them including mowing the lawn. I also have a pair of GTS 22's that feel world's better than these GTS 23s. I will hold off buying anymore Brooks running shoes until I am sure they have improved the quality of their product. I do feel this last shoe was a cheap rip off.
