    We've been married 50 years and have moved five times. This is the last house we will live in. They will have to carry us out. LOL. It's never easy, but each time has proven to be an interesting experience and an improvement in our circumstances. Wishing you a glorious adventure and happy landings whenever it finally happens.

    This was very helpful, Daphne. We live in two places, sometimes three: the start of the Appalachian trail most of the year, several months at the beach and a number of weeks/sometimes months in Texas with our grandchildren. It's crazy trying to decide what and how to pack for those weeks and months apart from our home base. I appreciate hearing someone else "think this through" even though our situations are very different. Thank you so much!
    I feel like such a diamond painting nerd. I really crave this kind of content. I'm lucky that I can talk to my sister-in-law about the minutae of this hobby but I still have such an appetite for more. I like the way you provide content that gets right down to the everyday workings of things. Thank you again, Daphne.

    Definitely agree with the making of a master list as well as a list of contents on each box. That saved my sanity each of the 3 times I was put in charge of moving with a business i used to work for. Even with it being classed as a small business it was a large undertaking. Such a great adventure for you snd the family coming up though. Sending you all lots of good vibes so it all goes easily and smoothly 😊

    Hi Daphne,
    Thank you so much for this informative video. I will be measuring my DPs to see what containers I might need and the sizes. I moved from the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, where I grew up, to Atlanta. It was certainly an ordeal and adventure. I can’t imagine moving as far away as Canada. 🇨🇦 I’ve been to Windsor a few times during early spring many years ago and it was beautiful. Just a thought, if y’all have a dog, you might want to check with your vet to make sure that your dog has all of the required documents and vaccinations that Canada might required. Also ask if your dog will need to be quarantined and for how long. Just something to consider. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks again for sharing your packing process. Take care. 🤟

    Thanks for your quick response and for commenting on our crazy life. We actually lived and worked in both places at times and it was just a better investment to keep both properties. When we worked here at the beach my daughter still needed a home base in the mountains because she was in school there. When we retired back to the mountains our property here served to provide a much needed second home to our son's family for stretches of time as well as a retreat for us in the fall months.
    We are all indeed lucky to have so many options. My husband has managed it all so well. We both grew up with parents who survived the depression and two world wars so we have a ptetty special and important take on our opportunities: we learned to take nothing for granted!

    The process is far more detailed when you first think of it. Just listening to you talk about the process makes me anxious. Since hubby and I have been married (38 years) we moved into the first house we bout the year we got married and moved to our current house after 17.5 years in the first. I hated moving then and have no plans to move in the near future. Mostly because I have no desire to pack up my crap. Lol

    Looks good. My last move, I numbered and listed the contents of each box in a spiral notebook. On each box, I labeled a brief summary on three sides. It took a little time and made things so much easier on the other side. Plus, mentally I had a limit on the amount of boxes. 😅 moving isn’t easy for me😂

    I would get rid of the diamond painting boxes, or at least break them down flat. You could fit so much more in your totes w/o the boxes. Do they still have the tool kits? If so, take those out and only keep,the bits you want.

    • @DiamondPaintingAnonymous
      @DiamondPaintingAnonymous  День назад

      I thought about that, but I'm afraid the canvases would get crushed from the weight of the drills. And any that I have unboxed already do not have the tool kits in them. We'll figure it out. Thanks for watching!!
