I bought these same drills but in round and square, boy do I have my work cut out for me. The scanning of all the colors given the the boost I need. Thank you again💕💕
You're better off doing the plastic baggie inside of a photobox method. It's where you cut a few pieces of foam core small enough to make dividers , and then you can use index cards or cardstock to divided the columns by dmc number. I am in the process of doing this for my backstock of drills. No regrets so far
I bought the same set and sorted them using the DCM table (DCM numbers are used for these diamonds). I also bought coloured DCM stickers so I don’t have to write the numbers by hand.
Putting those in color order is making my anxiety a little high 😂 I have my drills in DMC order for my spares. The Art Dots don’t have static because they are acrylic and it’s usually the resin drills that have static. Resins are usually more uniform in size. I have the Art Dots Squares and will only use them in a pinch, usually they are smaller than the drills in the kit I’m working on. The color order looks amazing when finished 🩷🩷
That title SCARED ME RIAH!! This was honestly so satisfying, I loved how the pinks all looked. My favourite thing about diamond painting is definitely the sounds and the end product, especially the sense of accomplishment I feel afterwards! Least favourite is the static drills and the gapping I get with squares sometimes. It's honestly a love and hate relationship. I could never do what you've done here, so proud of youuu ❤❤🎉🎉
My favorite part is the kitting up, and the least is the kitting down. I can't stand it 😂😂. This was a chore and a half. You have great patience and determination. Even though they are beautiful, I would be avoiding that job like the plague 😅😂.
I also go diamond painting, and the thing I do with all my leftover or spilled drills is to put them in a glass jar like you did and then just wait until it fills up and it like a goal thing, it just shows how much work you have done 🎉
Your miscellaneous drill jar and all it's colorful goodness would just make a happy addition to a workspace. I don't know about you, but for me, just the abilitiy to pick it up and swish it around would make me smile.

Now I have to see you do a custom with entirely "uglies" hahaWow so patient, I'm impressed!! DP is a hobby that makes us all wombles!! Collecting drills and them scattered everywhere, finding them everywhere, too, as they migrate like glitter!
This is the first time I've watched your channel. What a satisfying end. Good job! Also, I enjoy kitting up. It's like getting ready for a main event. I do use the grid boxes. I like them (unpopular opinion?) but once in a while I will get a lid that doesn't close or open the easiest. 💎 Happy painting!
I bought that AB kit through you. I love it! I've been putting them on a set of resin pumpkins, one for me and one for each of my cats. They are so cute! I can't wait to find more things to put them on! 😊
I've been diamond painting since 2017 and I have been through just about every single "storage" container known to man (including the ones you went with here). But then I started thinking "outside the box" and what I have now is very compact, neat, tidy and I can find every drill I need to find in a hurry. I use little baggies (like the size that come with some diamond painting kits) that I ordered on Amazon (literally hundreds of them), some 3x5 cards (cut in half), and 8 **business card** boxes that hold up to 250 business cards. I put the diamonds/drills in the baggies, labelled them with their DMC color number on the 3x5 card half that also went inside the baggie, and the baggies fit perfectly lined up inside the business card boxes. I can fit 120-150 colors per box. I have 4 boxes that are only for square drills, 3 boxes that are for round and 1 box that is for "special" drills. I have found this to be the best storage solution (for me) because everything is together, I don't have to try and cram 900 drills into a tiny container, I can add more at any time, the labelled storage boxes are long but still fit on a shelf and stack on top of each other (rather than have 18 little plastic boxes where I have to guess which one has the exact color I'm looking for), and if I get a NEW color that needs to go between existing ones I already had, it's as simple as putting them in a baggie, putting the half index card in it with the drills and filing them into the correct box.
These come packed in a box in DMC number order which seems the logical way to kit them up. I do a lot of diamond art on blank canvas using dmc charts so having the numbers all mixed up like this would make kitting up for each project a nightmare. I have my drills in small numbered self -seal bags and have them stored in number order in three craft storage boxes. I also decant extra drills from kits into the bags when I finish if they are a colour match, though I find there is a huge variance in colours for the same DMC number depending on manufacturer. I even found a variance in some colours between the 200 drills set and the 1000 drills set of the 445 colours boxes.
Grl get those containers on temu thats were i get them and they are much cheaper and not had one problem with them not closing ❤❤❤❤❤❤ ur goal on getting everything done was soo nice love the video❤❤❤
I like when they come in individual bags instead of the long strips. I find the static drills the most frustrating part of kitting up The fact that you went through all of those and you're still okay, you get Kudo's!!
First off I don't mind kitting up. I like to go in order on the canvas because I find it interesting which colors the companies put beside each other. But you do it your way because it works for you and that's the important part. I love running my hand over a completed canvas. I dislike when I'm working on one and skip one color on the canvas and don't realize it until five colors later, and I have to go back.
I know something that you could do with the assorted diamonds! You could make a picture like a kaleidoscope, there's loads of colors and it wouldn't matter exactly where or what shapes, so long as there are blocks of color in different spots, kind of like a mosaic actually, only you wouldn't need the line work, as the things in kaleidoscopes don't have hard lines, even though they are shapes that shift around. Just a thought though, it's something fun to do and something that you could add to later on if you don't have enough in the current jumble to make a full piece.
I organice my extra drills by numbers. Organisation by colours looks so nice. With those fixed boxes you can't add any new different hue/tint, I have some colours like 6 or 7 different hues, I'm so tired to those and ordering again and again new tictac conteiners.
Bouth them to round and square it took forever but so satisfied.saw the storage containers, I thought you would regret it later just like I had to learn when I bought them. I just keep my drills in little zip bags in dmc order all in boxes.
🎉 Do you have a kit you’re going to use those on or did you buy them incase you run out of a color? I may have to buy the ABs. Those looked quite beautiful.
I purchased those drills and it took almost forever to kit them. I did mine by the number value because my kits is in numerical order. Only thing that I hated was some of the colors were off from what I had.
I know it would not be fun to tape the lids, and it wouldnt look nice, but i think the cases popping open and spilling is worse. Just a thin little piece of clear tape on the top and side of each of the containers to hold them shut. Not all 500 at once, but when you open the boxes, just add tapes to the row of 4 you take out or just to ones that pop open accidentally, and then you will have outsmarted the cheap boxes! 😊
There are worse things to be addicted to….But yeah this looked like a chore! Edited to add, I’m assuming DMC code is like the DMC floss colors, same or close color has the same code?? Excellent video! 👍🏻😄🎉
It is based on the DMC embroidery floss cut to the fact it’s the best on the market, when diamond painting came out at the start they were done from picture to picture but no structure to the colour coding. I only started diamond painting 5 years ago when I found the square ones love them the best. One of the pictures I got they had sent the wrong batch of diamond plus it had 10 packets missing, thankfully I bought from a good dealer and they sent out the missing 10 packets as well as the correct colour coded ones. I bought foam trays with squares as I put all my drills into detached square containers hate dealing with the 4 in a row ones. Because they have now standardised the diamond dots/drills I can now add they to my boxed diamonds regardless of the painting I’m working on. But some Dimond paintings still don’t use DMC, they are the very cheap pictures. Only have a few of them and it was only because I liked the pictures. After I finish my Dimond painting I mixup a small amount of resin and coat the whole picture with a very, very thin coating of resin. 2 reasons for that. One, it makes them super shiny. Two, it stops them from popping off. Where I live it can get as hot as 61-62°c during the summer heatwaves in the Aussie Outback and for some reason the sticky coating on the painting gets super soft and the diamonds can just fall off if one so much as sneezes on it. The resin makes the picture easy to keep clean after that, if it gets dusty, it’s easy to wipe the picture with a damp cloth and it looks good as new again. I also glue the canvas to a sheet of 3mm MDF which keeps the picture nice and flat. I did manage to get my hands on some white dots that glow green in the dark, I just had to buy them so I could make my own Halloween picture one day.
My favorite part about diamond painting is how satisfying it can be and my least favorite part is how you can’t do it in Ike the rain, I tried to once and the glue that was on the painting (that it comes with you cant see it) started peeling and I had to use super glue. 😂
@@riahpaigee kind of I took a break on it to work on a few other ones because that was like the 2nd diamond painting I had done and the 1st big one. I’ll update you on the next video or before then if it’s working
I don't really know how diamond painting works besides what I see in the kits... can you get just blank diamond paper with the sticky side on it? To like make your own painting. Or do they always have a design to follow? Because if you can buy blank paper then you could do some cool stuff with the overflow drills, or maybe you could even use random little drills in set designs as like reflections or light shatters or something.
What did you buy diamonds for? Are you doing a cross stitch conversion? I've been doing this obsessively for 4+ years and never purchased diamonds. I don't even store all of my leftovers (just DAC and DD) and still have leftovers filling up two huge boxes.
❤❤ Hi, I was watching your video and thought I could add some tips 😊 On the little plastic cases. There is a tab/lip on the lid. You can gently pull that towards the front so that it will latch better. Only problem that I see is that you wont be able to expand you drill storage when you need to kit down. I use the photo box bag method that Rebecca over at addmorezest created. With that system it's easy to expand. I'm up to 4 boxes for just my square drills. I store mine via the dmc number. I would have never been able to get this done as quickly as you did. I did one thing at a time. Great idea to keep them via color. ❤
Ps Im a serial kit up and start a new project, but then get 1/4 way in and need to start a new one, I do go back and grimly force myself to finish. I also limit to 4 going at a time, as I got into bad habit of having half finished projects everywhere 😜😔
🐞oh boy..I did the exact same thing...and also thru them in a big box...then..decided them up by code...then threw them all in big baggies by code..then threw the big baggies in a big bag you get from the grocery store and that bag is in the deepest darkest corner of my closest!!!😂🤗
As a cross stitcher that has wandered to diamond painting youtube, kitting up lowley makes me wanna die but that's bc I have to stand in Joann's while some poor employee has to scan 200 skeins of floss at once 😭😭 and not all dmc codes are available readily. Tons of people use single digit codes for patterns but you can only get those online or in specialty packs so you have to color match 😬😬😬 and then i have to put all of them on bobbins!! Lowkey gonna buy a drill just bc I'm gonna get carpal tunnel winding skeins for 4 hours at a time lmao
youll hate having to go through the spilled ones when you run out of a color at the very end of a project! i ran out of drills on 3 out of 5 kits so i stopped diamond painting.
@@riahpaigee i love it, the zipper pouches hold my extra bags, my pens, trays. for my drills i use the small baggies, and sort them via color in the other pouches! my back pouch in the binder is my drill dump pouch where i take the leftover baggies and pop them in there! most of my diamond paintings are 20x25cm because i have to have limited space but i absolutely love my set up!
As someone who been diamond painting for years I personally swear by these organizers but I usually fill them after I use most for a painting and they usually stay pretty well closed when they aren’t super full. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with them :(
I am new to DP. How do you know which canvas to use for the drills? I am not understanding how the drill sets got separated from the canvas they go with?
My least favourite thing about diamond painting is figuring out what to do with them once I'm done. I love the process of doing them, but I hate the way they look as decor (except maybe in a kid room or an art space).
wait legitament question (not a hate comment) if you get the diamonds in the kits already, why buy extra? dont they include everything you need in every kit? 🤔 I plain on using my extra diamonds i have after i finish my kits for epoxy. I just dont get buying them seperatly unless you do other crafts? idk confused.
Are the codes universal (i.e. are they applicable to most diamond painting projects)? There's so many codes and colors, it would stink if you bought a ton and they didn't work with the painting your doing (or one in the near future).
Those extras would be great way to depict confetti! Doesn’t even have to be for a diamond piece, just glue them on a painting
I love that idea! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
with every video you make me question how on earth you find the patience and where can I get some 😂😂

@@BassingirlCrafts You are so kind 🥹💖💖💖 thank you so much !!
I love organising diamonds too even though it’s very messy to do
so messy but so worth it 😎💖💖💖💖
@@riahpaigeeI agree
I did this with 3000 so I feel your pain 😢 I was so happy to be done
With Temu everything comes with what u need
Ps Im a serial kit up and start a new project, but then get 1/4 way in and need to start a new one, I do go back and grimly force myself to finish. I also limit to 4 going at a time, as I got into bad habit of having half finished projects everywhere 😜😔
🐞oh boy..I did the exact same thing...and also thru them in a big box...then..decided them up by code...then threw them all in big baggies by code..then threw the big baggies in a big bag you get from the grocery store and that bag is in the deepest darkest corner of my closest!!!😂🤗
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!! I feel you on that one ! 💖💖💖💖
Lmaoo omg. I’ve been wanting to get into cross stitch I had no idea it was like that 😭😂😂💖💖💖💖
Yes I love kiting up its my best bit
Me too ! but I've had my fill for the next month 🤣💖💖💖💖
youll hate having to go through the spilled ones when you run out of a color at the very end of a project! i ran out of drills on 3 out of 5 kits so i stopped diamond painting.
That's exciting
IT IS !! 💖💖💖💖
I use little baking zip locks and label stickers for my leftover drills.. now idk about 500 different colors tho..
Those are rounds :)) Artdot has them in Squares too : )) and there are DMC code Stickers in round and Squares and heart shape :))
oh nooo.. i might have to get those 😦💖💖💖 💖💖💖!!!
my kitting up since im stuck on an aircraft carrier is in an old budget binder lol and mini plastic bags, since i dont have a lot of space lmao
I’ve been so curious about using a binder ! I feel like it’s definitely the most space saving! Do you like it ? 💖💖💖
I use mylar bags with the color sticker to organize mine
My diamond painting has taken over my living room and small desk. I am totally unorganized.
My least favourite thing about diamond painting is figuring out what to do with them once I'm done. I love the process of doing them, but I hate the way they look as decor (except maybe in a kid room or an art space).
I love kitting up but I hate kitting down a diamond painting
EXACTLY!!!! we are the same 💖💖💖💖
Yep that's where I am at right now
Omg I got them for my diamond art tube
Good luck 🤩! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I always thought they’d be selling them things in a container from the get go, but I never diamond painted
You are totally adorable!!
😭🥹 you are so sweet ! thank you for watching 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Yes i have to do that as well
Good luck!! 💖💖💖💖💖
wait legitament question (not a hate comment) if you get the diamonds in the kits already, why buy extra? dont they include everything you need in every kit? 🤔 I plain on using my extra diamonds i have after i finish my kits for epoxy. I just dont get buying them seperatly unless you do other crafts? idk confused.
So my question is why would you put the numbers on the side instead of on the top????. I do love the way you organize it by colors
just because i don't think i will use the codes as much as the colors ! thanks for watching!! 💖💖💖
I have the same exact kit
The label's on top is better
Are the codes universal (i.e. are they applicable to most diamond painting projects)? There's so many codes and colors, it would stink if you bought a ton and they didn't work with the painting your doing (or one in the near future).
Omg that would be a nightmare 😭!!
Omg the uglies and then in the tiniest caption I’m lying through my teeth…..girl you like to take me out!!!!😂🤣😂 Subscribed off of that alone!!!❤🎉
I. Always kit up every kit I get
But it guets easy with time, I guet confusing with colors sometimes and I put diamonds in cases in 4 or 3 days I think 😁😁😁
I feel you on that one ! 💖💖💖
I hate dropping my diamond painting pen or tray accidentally! It's so annoying. And yet, it keeps happening! lol.
If you get your drills in your kits, why purchase more? Just curious.
I'm gonna try to make my own diamond paintings from scratch !😊💖💖💖💖
@@riahpaigee oh that would be awesome
I would have kept a piece of paper at the bottom of the container with the codes on them so I can find what I need very quickly while working
what happen to the painting that those drills came from?
maybe you could try our Trabricks
send me an email and I'll check it out !
@@riahpaigee yes,we have sent email to you
The drills get every where 😭😭
